In addition to the normal things you would expect from a good doctor he goes above and beyond. For instance we were in touch in real time, through significant time zone challenges, when I was ill overseas until my difficulties were resolved. My wife and I met Dr. Adam Possner this year when our other doctor retired. We were looking for a doctor who was young, highly qualified and accessible. After interviewing him, we did not need to interview any other, we knew right away he was the one. During the several months we have been with him, we have medical problems that really put him to the test and have been so impressed! Dr. Possner has been our family doctor for several years now. We moved to this concierge practice after having had bad experiences and being unable to find another good primary care physician. We have been incredibly pleased with the service from the office and availability of both Dr. Possner and Dr. Seidmann, the other doctor in the practice on call when Dr. Possner is away. The ability to contact them while traveling for advice and help has been invaluable, often times Dr. Possner has been exactly right with what was wrong even when I didnt expect it. Dr. Possner has been our primary care physician through several significant illnesses. He has been effective in diagnosing and appropriately treating our illnesses. We have been happy working with him and his staff. When we have been ill, it has been easy to arrange a same day appointment and he sees us at the appointment time. It has also been easy to talk with him on the phone and via email; he promptly responds. When we started, he obtained our medical records and used them in planning care.

Dr. Possner is the physician to go to if you can go out of your insurance plan. I wanted and needed more from my Internist than I could get unless I went to a doctor who could give me more than 15 minute appointments. I wanted and needed an Internist who had the time and the interest to listen to me, be in touch with my specialists, and could do my lab work in his office so I no longer need to go to another location which was inconvenient. When I went to the doctor because I was sick, needing to go to a lab located in a different location was a hardship.I have gotten what I wanted and needed and I am sure Dr. Possner became a concierge doctor so that he could give his patients his time and energy, which he feels they deserve. He is personable, warm, and compassionate. I am very fortunate to be his patient.

Joining Dr. Possner’s practice was one of the best decisions I’ve made. He seems to view medicine as a calling, not just a profession. When I discuss a medical problem with him, he actually listens, taking into account my concerns and personal situation. He’s very prompt and effective with e-mails, too. Dr. Possner goes out of his way to work with other medical professionals, which can be incredibly helpful given today’s fragmented medical care landscape. He’s been able to get test results that didn’t seem obtainable through “regular” channels, translate those results, and help me decide on next steps. His office staff is also great. If your health is your #1 concern, as it should always be, you need to have Dr. Possner as your physician. Ive been a patient of Dr. Possners for five years. Its obvious that he genuinely cares, which Ive found hard to come by in DC. Dr. Possner is responsive, thorough, and gives great care and attention to his patients. When he moved from downtown DC to a private practice in Rockville, his new office digs became a bit far for me to travel, but I didnt hesitate when I had to decide whether to keep him as my practitioner. I am a current patient of Dr. Possner and could not be happier with his and his staffs service. Dr. Possner is extremely knowledgeable and really takes the time to listen to you. Anytime I have a question or need something I just make a call and if the staff does not have the answer (which is rare) he will get in touch with me. My dad was also in need of a doctor but could not make it to the office due to his medical condition. I was completely sick of being on the patient mill with my former doctors practice. The doc seemed to have about 10 minutes for a physical and 3 minutes if I was sick. Anything beyond a Z-Pack was referred to a specialist- who of course couldnt see me for two weeks. I wasnt a patient. I was just a number.I was looking for something different. I had heard of concierge doctors where you pay a flat fee per year and your doctor actually gets to know you, when you are sick you can be seen same day, phone calls are returned. Getting recommendations from friends, I came across a lot of practices that were full. Then we found Dr. Possner who came from GW and joined Rockville Concierge Doctors. In checking him out, we found that he had graduated #1 in his class from Michigan- he certainly had the credentials.My experience has been fantastic. My physical was comprehensive. Waiting room times are non-existent (and you are offered coffee, tea or water). He answers emailed questions quickly. Most impactfully, my wife threw her back out last week and we were going to go to the ER. Dr. Possner actually offered to come by the house and made a house call! In 2017, that just doesnt happen.Long story short, if you are looking for a primary doctor and you want to be cared for as a patient and human being, you are in for a very pleasant and enlightening experience should you select Dr. Possner. This may have been the best investment I made this year.

Having recently moved to Rockville I was looking for a new primary care doctor. My previous doctor’s practice was, to me, the model of what a doctor-patient relationship should be: no 15-minute time slots, no nose buried in a computer screen, a doctor who carefully listened to what I was saying, and a doctor who was exceedingly competent. Dr. Possner has been our primary care provider for several years now. When we first met him, he was at another practice. When he left that practice, we followed him to his new practice at Rockville Concierge Doctors, even though we live 45 minutes away and even though it would cost us more for care. Why? Because Dr. Possner provides a level of care that we hadnt found with any other primary care provider. He really takes the time to know his patients so he can deliver personal care. This was always true for Dr. Possner—even when he worked at a standard (chaotic) practice—but with the concierge care model its even more true. Im impressed that I can contact Dr. Possner with questions and concerns whenever I need to. Recently I cut my finger badly with a kitchen knife and was able to text Dr. Possner photos of my finger. We spoke and he determined it didnt need stitches; he set out a course of treatment for me and checked on me over the day and the following days with follow-up care and questions to monitor my progress. As a busy working mother, I cant tell you the time that saved me. I also have to commend the practice itself; I dont have to go through a maze of receptionists and nurses to access Dr. Possner and our visits are always focused, on-time and thorough. My husband, who works overseas a large part of the year, also uses Dr. Possner, because this gives him access to high-quality medical advice even when he is out of the country. We cant recommend Dr. Possner enough.
