I love coming to my dentist everyone is so nice and caring. As soon as you walk in you are treated with respect and care. Dr. Tong is all about the care of his patients. I have know him for more than 15 years and his love for what he does shows off on his work. Definitely recommend anyone to go see him.

I had a fantastic experience here from start to finish! The receptionist was friendly and helpful, the dentist who cleaned my teeth was so friendly and talked me through different strategies to clean at home, and the doctor was also incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. The office was beautiful and clean and I almost felt like I was at a spa! Absolutely loved it and I am genuinely looking forward to my next visit.

I joined this dentistry just under two years ago. I LOVE them. Dr. Tong is knowledgeable and very easy to talk to and the hygeinests are amazing. I even had a great chat with the receptionist on my last visit and he was very personable and brightened my Monday morning! They also open at 7am which is great for anyone that doesnt like to take off work for a dentist appointment!

Rockville Smiles made me feel so welcome at my first appointment! I had just moved to the area and was looking for a new dentist. Their COVID protocols made me feel very safe (mandatory masks, hand sanitizer, temperature checks) and the appointment itself flew by. Kelly made me feel right at home when getting my teeth cleaned; she is so lovely, kind, and gentle with the cleaning. She felt like an old friend even though we just met. I really enjoyed chatting with her during the appointment!Dr. Tong was top-notch! Hes really nice and explains everything hes doing before he does it, which is something I really value during my dentist appointments. He made the process super easy, especially as a new patient being there for the first time. I would give a 1 star- but, the cleanliness of the dental office implemented during COVID-19 is commendable. However, the cleanliness of the dental practice was at a cost of $20 per visit that must be paid before entry, and is not covered by insurance. I did not experience a Infection Control Fee (i.e. cleaning fee) for a pediatrician appointment during COVID, nor did another friend experience a cleaning fee for his dental appointment at another practice during COVID. I was alarmed at the family regulations in place- Only patients are allowed entry within the office. Family members or friends must remain outside in the car. This appointment was for my 6 year-old. I was floored that I was expected to wait in the car for a minors appointment. My pediatrician did not have this rule in place. Its asinine. How is a 6 year-old going to accurately convey what the hygienist or dentist is telling him/her/they (non-binary inclusive) on well or poor their teeth brushing is or is not? Or what areas/things to focus on for better teeth health? During my childs visit, I was given the option to be in the waiting room- where there were chairs still present- which doesnt add up to their only patient in the office policy rule. After the appointment, only the hygienist came out to speak with me and share an image of the x-rays on her smartphone and explain the images. I did not get any update on the status of my childs teeth. Nor did I get a follow up call from the dentist per: Tele-dentistry: Dr. Tong will follow up and post-op via phone as usual. I recognize, I could have asked for an update on my childs teeth post visit- either with the hygienist or with a phone call to the dentist, however, I was too shocked of the whole ordeal, and isnt it the hygienist/dentists job to update the parent/guardian on patients (that is a minor) health?! Ive been thinking about switching dental practices for some time due to the limited pre-COVID business hours, but what I experienced during this visit and in conjunction to their further reduced COVID business hours, its not worth staying with this practice.

The dental hygienist was wonderful, very friendly, and did a great job on my teeth.The dentist I hardly spoke to so I Couldnt tell you, seemed nice enough.The office manager was pretty horrid. Control Freak type. So that made it bad in a bad time already. Very rude woman. Also doesnt understand why someone wouldnt want to send there SSN over email.

Tuesday 01/12/2021 was my first visit to Rockville Smiles because I recently moved to the area. The receptionist let me know that they would be seeing me shortly. After waiting only 5 minutes, the dental assistant Hai took me back to an operatory and asked me follow-up questions about my dental history. Within a few minutes she was starting to clean my teeth. She made friendly small talk and periodically asked if I was feeling pain. The operatory I was in has two TV screens, one on the wall and one overhead, so I watched a variety talk show during the cleaning. After she finished, Dr. Tong came in, asked me some questions, and did an oral cancer screening. I was out of the appointment in under an hour, and they stamped my garage ticket so I wouldnt have to pay for parking. All in all, the staff was friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable!

My quarterly (by choice) visits to Rockville Smiles are always efficient and pleasant (well as pleasant as dental visits can be). Everyone is timely, helpful, knowledgeable, and responsive.

Very attentive services. Doctor takes time to learn your specific requests and needs, and remembers it during your following visit. Takes his time to finish the work. Hygienists are very professional. The front staff is also very courteous and welcoming. All financial terms are discussed clear and in advance. No surprises, no pressure.

Good enough to be excited about going to the dentist! The staff was very friendly and showed me around the office and the equipment they used, which was all very clean, neat and tidy. They took me in promptly after I completed my first-time patient paperwork. The hygienist did a very thorough job, and the Dentist came in to complete the work. They made me feel like a priority and placed importance in being transparent about my treatment. They were not vague in answering questions. Best place Ive been to. Even if I move, I will drive all the way here from now on.I later referred my husband and got a thank you card and movie ticket in the mail, which was a pleasant surprise. He went in for a second opinion for braces, and the consult was given free. Even though he just got his teeth cleaned, Dr. Tong cleaned up the incomplete job the previous dental office did, again for free as part of the consult. Customer service done right.

Great place. I love the design of the office. They have all the newest technology. They showed me my options and were quick and efficient while at the same time thorough. Dr. Tong is knowledgeable and knew exactly what was going on with my mouth and could immediately tell my history and what treatment I needed going forward. This office goes above and beyond. Dr. Tong has been my dentist since I moved to Rockville. Hes awesome. Kelly, my hygienist, is awesome. The location is awesome. Honestly, its as awesome as one can reasonably expect for an experience in which one is voluntarily allowing others to poke and prod the interior of ones mouth.The office is always clean and pleasant. Theres a Gamecube in the reception area, but Ive never had time to play it because they always get to me within minutes of my arrival. They are open extended hours to accommodate working adults who cant afford to take time off. The flip side of this is the office is open only three days a week, but that just tells me Dr. Tong values his staff and advocates for a healthy work-life balance, which I respect.Why are you still reading this? I had a very easy experience here! Im a new patient, and when I called I was able to make an appointment for the next day. I had a question about my insurance, and the front desk took care of it completely by calling my insurance while I was in my appointment. Everyone was very friendly and inviting. I was only there for a cleaning, but it was quick and painless. They gave me some advice for future dental health and that was that. I would recommend to anyone!

When you walk in, you immediately feel like youre visiting family perhaps. The decor is nice and homey and it appears that they cater to younger kids as I noticed s game station.As for the staff, quite possibly the most friendly Ive encountered in a doctors office. Been coming to Rockville Smiles for three years now and I can see a real difference with my teeth. I grew up with a lot of dental issues and now that Im older, I know when I see great quality service.Scheduling an appointment is quick and easy. You can schedule an appointment online or call in and schedule an appointment. Email and text reminders are sent to me so Im reminded when my appointment is and how to park. Parking is validated if you park in the correct garage. Complimentary drinks are provided in the waiting area and game consoles for kids to keep them busy. Appointments run in time, but never early.My cleaning is always pretty smooth. Technicians are good, but not rough and very clear in communicating what they are doing before they do it. I like how they have a picture of your dental records on the computer so its clear to the technicians and to the patient when they explain things to you.Dr. Tong is very honest friendly! I trust him, which is tough for a dentist. His practice is well run and the office is very clean that I feel comfortable in it. I referred my dad and he felt Dr. Tong was great too because he speaks Chinese too.

I checked in with a very helpful front desk assistant, a technician who takes all your x-rays, Ms. Hai who is the hygienist and does your cleaning (very through all and the gentlest hands ever!) and then Dr. Tong examines and reviews all the pictures and x-rays with you.Again, I would recommend this place to anyone who’s looking for someone who is professional, through all, has top of the line technology and amazing costumer service.

Ive been going to Dr. Tong since I moved to the area in 2009 and Ive always had a great experience. My dental hygienist is really nice and really gentle but efficient during the flossing and cleaning process. Dr. Tong is always very friendly and does a thorough check for possible issues and examines potential problem spots that the hygienist locates during the cleaning. I also referred my fiance to them and he also had a wonderful experience and raved about how friendly they were and what a great experience it was with them. Ive seen this Dentist twice now and have to say that out of all the Dentist Ive tried, hes by far surpassed my expectations. The Dental Hygienist who also cleaned my teeth did a superb job as well. I also appreciate that the Dentist has yet to try and sell me on fillings that arent detrimental. My experience from living in the DMV is that many Dentist push fillings in almost every consultation so that they can make additional money, whether they are needed or not. I appreciate that this Dentist seems to be more aligned with a less invasive approach to his practice and is less about selling you on additional appointments. I certainly recommend and will be returning as long as I work in the Rockville area and he maintains this approach with me.

I cant recommend Dr. Tong and his friendly staff enough. Ive been going here for a few years already and have gotten great service. Dr. Tong and his staff are great. Ive been a patient here for a number of years now, and have encountered no problems at all, and will continue going. The only reason I cannot give this practice five stars, is because both receptionists, often times come across as very rude both over the phone, and in person. They seem to either not like their jobs, or just arent personable. I am surprised by this, given they are front office staff. Apart from this, I would recommend this practice.

The staff are very pleasant and friendly and Dr. Tong is good at explaining the reasons behind his treatment plan. As an added bonus, I didnt find myself waiting for my appointment. They were punctual and had me in the chair within 5 minutes of my scheduled appointment time.

Amazing! The only dentist I would recommend. Great staff, great office, great experience. This is coming from a guy who did not like dentists and who has had bad experiences in the past. At Rockville Smiles they took great care of me.

I had a great experience. I was there a little longer than I wanted to be (on my lunch break for a cleaning) but everyone was friendly, kind and professional. If I had a recommendation, it would be to email the forms that are given to the new patient and allow them to fill it out and bring it to the office with them. And seriously, everyone is very friendly which is very refreshing for a doctor/dentist office.

I highly recommend Dr Tong and his staff. Ive been going for 5 years or longer and he is so consistently good. In the past I have had bad experiences with other dentist..... but he has gained my confidence. He has never hurt me, he is fast, talented and kind. My family also sees him. I take better care of my teeth because of him.Enjoy 😊

Appointments always run on time which is much appreciated. The information I received from the business office about what my insurance would cover did not match the information I received directly from insurance company. I would advise double checking quotes on dental work directly with your insurance company.

Dr Tong is very professional and caring. I have been seeing him for years. Never had any problem. Honest and trustworthy.

I always have had stern, distant, or judgy dentists in the past. So I was nervous to find my own dentist for the first time when starting a new job that provided good dental coverage. Dr. Tong is a very good-natured and easy going guy. While hes doing an operation or a check up, hell explain whats going on and what hes thinking. I have recommended him a few times to my friends since I know how hard it is to find a good dentist that is likable. Just take the initial consult and youll see what I mean.

Not from this area, but have needed to visit a dentist for the longest time. Happen to have some extra time and called local dentist offices near by, Im VERY glad that I ended up with Rockville Smiles! The staff and dentist there were VERY friendly and professional. Took excellent care of me! Highly recommended to EVERYONE!
