Dr. Matthews has been a great ophthalmologist but his staff really needs to show some productivity at work. My dad has his interview with the USCIS for his citizenship and he has got very poor eyesight. I called the office back in Dec 2020 that we needed Dr. Matthews help in getting my dad an exception so that the USCIS doesn’t require him to read or write English at his Naturalization/Citizenship interview. The office told me come in on Jan 4 with the form that needs to be filled out by Dr. Matthews in order for him certify that my dads got very poor eyesight. I bring the forms in, explain my situation clearly once again (even though I explained the situation clearly over the phone back in Dec 2020). I am told to come back to the office on Jan 21 to review some information. I bring my dad into the office as well and it turns out, Dr Matthews wasn’t even aware of the situation this whole time and his staff didn’t do a good job explaining to him what the form was even about. I stepped in and explained to Dr Matthews what the situation was and I am told by Dr Matthews that based on the numbers (eyesight measurements), my dads form would be rejected by the USCIS and that he won’t sign the form because the form was going to be rejected anyways. I told him that my dads reports that since the last time he was seen by Dr Matthews, his eyesight has gotten worse. I get told by Dr Matthews to bring my dad in for an appointment on Monday (Jan 25). I am so disappointed because so much of mine and my dads valuable time was wasted since Dr Matthews was never made fully aware of the situation and that my dad doesn’t even have much time left in his interview which is next week (Jan 28). I wish Dr Matthews was notified of the situation promptly back in Dec so that Dr Matthews had informed me and my dad that the form was going to be rejected based on my dads eyesight numbers

Very unprofessional place especially with the COVID-19 PANDEMIC! Theres multiple people in the waiting room, there is no social distancing what so ever! Provider doesnt were gloves or doesnt disinfect his hands after seeing a patient. The place in not well organize and unclean I wouldnt be surprise if they dont disinfect there equipment.

He come in on time gets in 30 minutes later just to get your eyes dilated so wait another 2 hours actually see the doctor. He has helped my right eye, but his bedside manner is horrible
