Dr. Dave has been my daughter’s dentist since she was two years old. He and his staff have always delivered caring and comfortable care, attending to every question and concern we each may have. My 5 yo daughter has medical anxiety and we have unsuccessfully attempted to have her teeth cleaned and examined at two other places. I guess the third time is the charm, because Raleigh Pediatric Dentistry got to see her chompers! They took extra time to explain the equipment and make sure she was comfortable before trying to clean her teeth, and it made all the difference. They were super accommodating with my family needs and I honestly haven’t had a better experience with an appointment during this COVID season (and we’ve had lots of appointments). Thank you!

Dr. Dave is great. Hes gentle and makes kids comfortable. His office is very organized and friendly. They play fun games with the kids. They explain everything to the kids and parents.

My kids are ages 3 and 5, and this office has done a spectacular job making the dentist experience an exciting and fun experience for them WHILE getting the job done. Before their first appointment a year ago, they were both very nervous about going to the dentist, my youngest hardly let me brush his teeth with getting scared. So I was very particular about choosing a dentist that will ease their nerves and introduce good cleaning habits. Dr. Olson and his team exceeded my expectations!! They just know how to make kids feel super comfortable and I also love how much care they put into making the office look fun and inviting. My kids left the dentist office eager to maintain good cleaning habits to make the dentist proud of them. When I told them today that we’re going back to the dentist for their second checkup, they were excited! I believe finding the right “first” dentist for them has set them up for good cleaning habits for life, and I’m so grateful!

We’ve been going here since my son had his first dental check up at 3 years of age. My son is 15 now. Dr. Dave is great with the kids and so are all of the assistants. The fish tank theme for the office decor is awesome! When my son was little he loved the treasure chest. They’ve done a great job keeping us safe during the pandemic this past year. I will miss this place when my son ages out in the next year or so.

Raleigh Pediatric Dentistry’s Dr Dave Olson is fantastic! Both if my kids have gone here for 5+ years. They have a delightful waiting room. My kids are always happy to go to the dentist. They have filled cavities, helped teeth along that didn’t want to come out, and patiently explained unusual dental developments (teeth that failed to erupt). I have received excellent referrals to orthodontists and oral surgeons when needed. They have taken my insurance and submitted claims on my behalf.There staff is professional, friendly and helpful. I would recommend this office to family and friends!

Dr. Dave has been our family’s pediatric dentist for many years. He is absolutely fantastic with the kids, whether they be 5 years old or 15 years old. He takes great care in explaining everything to the kids and the parents so we can make informed decisions. Despite caring for a wide range of ages he always makes sure that the kids are treated age appropriately. Our kids are older now and he adjusted how he talks to them and works with them now that they are older. Despite being teenagers they don’t feel “silly” going to Dr. Dave as they have with their general pediatric doctors. His staff is a pleasure to work with as well. They take the time to explain the procedures to both the parent and the child and absolutely know how to treat children. Great dentist and dental assistant! Rude front staff!! I feel like everytime I call or talk to them, they are rude and act like they are bothered . It may not be all of them, but it is one particular lady that always seems to have an attitude over he phone. If she doesnt like her job, then she need to leave because they will lose a lot of patients behind her nasty attitude! Receptionists are the face of the company. That is how you get patients to come back. I gave this place a 3 for that reason because the dentist is great!!!

I could not be more pleased with our experience at Raleigh Pediatric Dentistry! I took my very nervous 4 year old daughter/princess today for her first appt there (not first dentist visit though) and they were absolutely amazing with her! Diane made her feel so much more comfortable - she showed her each tool and used them on her hand, gave her a little goodie bag with a princess tooth brush, related to her & redirected her focus by talking about Disney characters and was just so patient and sweet with her! After Diane had my daughters teeth shined up, next we met Dr. Dave and he was also absolutely wonderful with my kiddo! He took his time, let her check out his gloves to get comfortable, had a frog on his face shield, talked about his own daughter and knew all about the Disney characters little girls love.My daughter was sooo anxious and nervous about her dentist appt - like legit kept me awake for several hours the night before her appt- but after her experience today she is not afraid of going to the dentist anymore. I was hesitant to go because they’re out of network for my insurance, but my Little’s experience at the dentist is important to me as I want her to be excited to take care of her teeth, so i decided it was worth trying. So glad I did. They could not have been more wonderful. Highly recommend!

I really can’t say enough about these folks. They’re great from start to finish, both before Covid and during. My daughter loves when they show her all the equipment and explain what they’re going to do with it. They really make the kids part of the appointment and have them involved as much as they can safely be involved. The doctors even came by with some stickers for her before the appt even started which immediately put her even more at ease. You’re surrounded by paintings and fish and all kinds of cool things kids love. It’s really been a great two years with these folks. I felt extremely safe during the whole appointment! Great job, folks!

We love Raleigh Pediatric Dentistry!! I’ve been bringing my two girls here since they first had visits, and we love the caring staff. Diane and Katherine are excellent dental hygienists and they know just what to say to help coax my little one to cooperate. My youngest had trouble being afraid of the dentist, and for a few visits she used a separate room with a very personalized experience, and now she has more confidence. Dr. Dave connects very well with kids, and puts them at ease while he examines their teeth. I highly recommend Raleigh Pediatric Dentistry!!

I cannot say enough positive things about this office! We have been going there for years, and we have never had a bad experience. They are extremely kind, patient, and friendly. Each time we go, they remember things my children or I told them about from the previous time we were there. They talk to the kids, ask questions, and genuinely seem interested in what the children have to say and what the kids are up to. All of my kids (aged 3-15) enjoy their visits here. They have a very smooth, timely, and efficient system going, which is much appreciated!

Dr. Dave and Staff are amazing! They have been taking care of my autistic son’s dental needs for over 10 years. They schedule him at 12:00 for his appointments so he has time to settle in and have next to zero distractions from other patients. They take as much time as my son needs to ensure the experience is incredibly positive and comfortable as possible. Pleased to say they have achieved these goals 100%. We love it here!

We were visiting from out-of-state for our son’s third open heart surgery. We had a concern about an unusual color on his upper gum. I called the office and explained the situation to Danna who was just fantastic. Our son also has a mild autism which causes him to be nervous at routine exams. Danna, Dr. Olson and Kerri went out of their way to provide a calm environment for our son’s exam. Kerri even met us outside in the parking lot just to conduct the intake questionnaire. Our youngest has low enamel and crowding, so hes been going to a Pediatric Dentist since he was 3. We dont have dental insurance through work, so while I was hesitant to have him go to a specialized dentist (versus the family dentist my other 2 kids go to), I know the great service I receive at RPD is worth the extra cost.Our most recent visit was for a tooth extraction and sealant placement. I was allowed to sit right outside the exam room (my son wanted me there and I was happy that we had that option) and I received updates from Dr. Olson every time he stepped out of the room. Really pleased with the whole process. The previous pediatric dentistry we went to gave updates, but parents had to wait in the front waiting room. That other office is a large operation, so it just may be a logistics/spacing issue for them, but it did make me realize how much I really do appreciate the smaller, more personalized touch that RPD is able to give.My son also loves the decorations at both the Raleigh and Rolesville offices and anything that keeps him happy at the dentist is a huge bonus.

Even during the COVID-19 pandemic, staff is careful, thoughtful, detailed and reassuring. I highly recommend them ANY time!

Dr. Dave and staff are great! This was little ones first trip to the dentist, but they made it such a pleasant experience for him.

Dr Dave is an absolutely wonderful dentist. My children have always had a great experience and actually look forward to going there.

Our 5 year old son was diagnosed with several cavities. Raleigh Pediatric Dentistry recommended a single general anesthesia session at a major hospital versus three in-house sessions using local anesthetic. Given our insurance this was a 10K more costly option for us. On his prior visits (and leading into this discussion) they said he was a good patient. We pressed them on why we couldn’t try at least one session with a local anesthetic to fix one cavity; if it worked we would proceed with the next sessions; if he was not able to stay calm in the initial steps of the procedure we would stop, bare the cost of this session and then do the general anesthesia. In the room Dr. Betsy said that this was reasonable but she wanted to talk with Dr. David. Upon returning she said that our kid was too much of a risk to stay calm and Dr. David would not do three sessions on a single case – our only option was general anesthesia. We got a second opinion from Wake Forest Pediatric Dentistry. The general exam went as expected; high-marks for our son from a calmness/behavior standpoint and Dr. Buddy scheduled 4 sessions. We were done in 3 sessions, my son was not traumatized, Dr. Buddy was not traumatized – they told him he was patient of the month for his behavior. We saved thousands of dollars and didn’t put our son through a higher cost / higher risk procedure. We asked our son if he’d like to go back to his old dentist/dentist office and he said “no”.Raleigh Pediatric Dentistry appeared to be a little lazy – preferring the method that was easiest for them. As I’ve read and Dr. Buddy displayed – it’s sometimes about how well you work with young kids.

First and foremost Dr. Dave and all the hygienists that both of our kids saw over the years were great! Unfortunately I cant say that about front office receptionists. They are inflexible, unaccommodating and rude about it. After years of going here and having my 8 year old daughter asking why that lady was so miserable it was time to go somewhere else. If youre a dual-income family and need flexibility then I suggest you look elsewhere first.

Each time we have had a visit the staff was always professional and friendly. They answered all of my questions and addressed my concerns. My son was completely comfortable each visit and loved the opportunity to get a prize at the end. So glad we found this office!

I have 4 boys, and we have been seeing to Dr. Dave for 10 years. At no point in that time was I ever less than impressed... Dr. Dave is just the best ever. He always greets us with a smile, asking about soccer games and vacations. He makes the boys feel very comfortable, and is endlessly patient. My oldest just had SEVEN teeth extracted at the recommendation of orthodontists, and was SO nervous about it. Dr. Dave put him at ease, talked him through it, and was all-around fantastic. (I also contacted another dentist to compare prices, and Dr. Dave was less expensive). The hygienists and front desk staff are also friendly and so nice. I recommend!!!

We have been going to see Dr Betsy for four years now and it is always a positive experience. Never a wait, great hygienists who are so sweet with the kids. Clean and colorful offices. My daughter has had several cavities filled and they put her at ease, distract her with a movie and the whole process is quick and painless.
