I am highly disappointed and highly upset!! My 14yr old had 4 wisdom teeth removed and she told me she felt every inch of her excruciating pain!! She came out crying and eyes blood shot red!! The front desk receptionist seemed to be in a bad mood she told me to exit the building and wait on my daughter 45 minutes before her surgery & I thought it was very unprofessional and unethical to treat patients in this manner!!

Absolute horrible customer service. Lady at the desk was absolutely rude and disrespectful. She raised her voice because she didnt know how to do her job & how insurance policies work. Also was seen right before they closed after waiting almost an hour...

Excellent care for wisdom tooth extraction with IV sedation . Ive been elsewhere and had a very bad experience but Dr Davis and his super assistants made my procedure anxiety and pain free. Id go back in a heartbeat if needed again. What a wonderful practice and staff and this is coming from a nurse. Thanks again!

My daughter had her wisdom teeth removed by Dr Davis. The experience was excellent from start to finish. The front desk staff were courteous and friendly. The billing person explained in detail what to expect as far as cost and insurance coverage. There were no surprises! Dr Davis took great care to explain the surgery and what to expect after the surgery. He was extremely kind and open to any questions or concerns. The surgery went great. I highly recommend this practice!!

I was completely aware during my teeth extractions even though they said to have put me under iv sedation. I was screaming and crying and he did nothing to calm me down and make the pain stop. He just kept saying “your doing great sweetie”. I will never go back to him again. He doesn’t care about the patients well being and pain at all.

My daughter was sent in for the procedure. Almost 2 hours later I asked what was going on about 10 minutes later I was sent to pick up my daughter. This is the 3 rd of my children to go through this process so I am not a novice. My daughter is freaking out blood shot eyes crying hysterically telling me she woke up during the procedure , could feel everything. I asked what happened was told her vein “blew”. Apparently they attempted 7 more injections into her body as we counted the injection sights after we got home. Doctor Davis gave me approximately 2 minutes of his time telling me “she did great, she was trooper”. I was so shocked then he left she is still sobbing and the nurse explains a little more that she woke up and it took a while to reestablish the IV sedation. My daughter also woke up at the end of the procedure and her arms were restrained. She was completely traumatized by this procedure. I called the office and asked for a return call which I did receive and was told by Dr. Davis “she did great, it was like a TV time out” (wth is that?) “she was dehydrated blah blah blah”I am truly concerned with what happened here today and am not at all convinced it was handled properly. I will be following up and gathering more information into why it took 7 attempts to get an IV and what other options could have been pursued to prevent her being totally aware during this traumatic procedure.

Dr. Davis is an excellent surgeon who was kind and thoughtful in dealing with my daughter, who was clearly anxious about her surgery. He has a wonderful manner about him and was considerate and patient. His staff was great and greeted us all with smiles. They explained the post surgery care and made sure we were all comfortable before we left. I highly recommend this office for any of your oral surgery needs.

My daughter had surgery and all went well. I liked Dr Davis and staff. However I paid a substantial amount and checked back with his financial person and was told bill was paid in full after insurance. Then 9 months later get a bill for $750.00. He hired a new person that has redone insurance and states this needs to be paid now. I wouldnt be as upset if I hadnt already been told it was paid in full. He also assumed do to my last name that I married to a Dr that his kids had seen. I am not married to a Dr. If so I would be able to pay this. Go figure.

I had a great experience when I got my wisdom teeth removed a couple weeks ago. I was impressed by Dr. Davis and the nurses, and the procedure and recovery went smoothly. I felt very well taken care of, and the staff was very helpful in working with my insurance company. I definitely recommend Davis Oral Surgery. Thank you all for the care you gave me.

The dentist, Dr. Davis, is great. No complaints there.. However, the front office staff leave a lot to be desired. Having paid for the procedure in full, they forgot to submit the insurance claim. Of course it took a couple of weeks and many phone calls for them to find this had happened and for them to re-file.Finally, after a couple of MONTHS, the money isnt coming back to us, but going to them. And they only send checks out to patients once a month. Are you kidding me? Im sure if it were THEIR money it would have been submitted in a timely manner, and applied to the account. So, now they have our money, and we have to wait another 3 weeks before they will cut the check and mail it to us.We arent talking pocket change here, this is a considerable amount of money we are out of pocket, and theres no incentive for them to process this in a timely manner whatsoever. So, be warned. And be prepared. And, no, my insurance company was great. The dentist office here is totally at fault. Unacceptable.

I was recently treated by Dr. Davis and was extremely pleased with the care he provided. The office staff was wonderful and took care of all the paperwork that needed to be filed with my insurance company. I would definitely use Dr. Davis again and highly recommend him to anyone who needs an oral surgeon.

Dr. Davis removed my daughter’s wisdom teeth. From the first appt through the follow up, he was very conscientious and took time to explain the procedure and answer all of our questions. He put my daughter at ease and did an excellent job. The whole staff was very kind and professional. If oral surgery is on the agenda, Dr. Davis makes it as pleasant as is possible.

My daughter thought Dr. Davis was great, this review has to do with the office itself and its billing practices. We paid for services in full prior to the surgery. The surgery was May, 2017. Received a bill 6 month later to our surprise. When we called the person was nice and said they would handle it, only to find out now August 2018, that the claim was never submitted. Looking for refund as any money received from insurance was likely already paid by us in full at the time of services. Insurance and all relevant details were provided at consult prior to the actual surgery.

Dr. Davis is great! He has a very gentle and kind spirit. My son had his wisdom teeth removed here. They made it VERY comfortable for him. He actually experienced very little pain after the procedure (granted, we followed instructions). They made sure we were prepared for a smooth surgery. They really have great communication. Dr. Davis did not rush. I like that. Definitely didnt feel like just a number here. They called to check on us after the surgery! Also, the ladies up front helped us with our insurance, they took the worry out of it by doing all the leg work (thank you so much). This is a great office! Thanks Dr. Davis and staff for making this such a GREAT DENTAL experience for my son!! Two thumbs up!!

Dr. Davis and staff were absolutely wonderful! I usually dont take the time to write a review but after reading the previous review, I was shocked. Dr. Davis took so much time to thoroughly explain the procedure and make me feel so comfortable. He and his staff were so caring and kind. Frome start to finish, Dr. Davis and the entire staff were so professional. I will definitely recommend them to my friends!

Dr. Davis is the best! Anesthesia experience was perfect causing me to wonder why I was even a little nervous prior to procedure. Dr. Davis and his nurses were very caring and made it a seamless procedure. He took extra time going over my films, conferring with my Dentist and answering all of our questions. I highly recommend Dr. Davis!

When my son needed to have his wisdom teeth removed, we contacted Dr. Davis based on a recommendation from a trusted friend. Dr. Davis and his staff were both professional and courteous. He talked to us about the procedure and what to expect after surgery. We felt very comfortable with him and everything went as planned. Needless to say, when my other son needed his wisdom teeth removed, we knew exactly who to call. I own a local business and have recommended Dr. Davis to numerous clients for several years now and will continue to do so.

Too many people these days have nothing better to do than write a bad review on a business. I dont know if its boredom, or a false sense of entitlement but its becoming an outrageous part of our culture. Doctor Davis and staff are angels among mortals in the dentistry world. They have taken out both my fiances and my own wisdom teeth. The office staff acted as my defender with my own insurance, and despite a lengthy wait on an insurance reply, fought for me to keep my payment affordable. The atmosphere created by Dr. Davis is one of comfort, despite most oral surgery procedures being super uncomfortable. A dentistry maestro, Dr. Davis skill as a surgeon is unparalleled in Wake County. Please disregard disgruntled customer reviews of people who couldnt afford, or had insurance problems because these do not tell the truth about the office. The truth is, if you want the best, this is the place to go.

Dr Davis is great but I waited 2 plus hours for my appointment to remove my wisdom teeth. Since I cant eat 8 hours before the surgery my last meal was over 14 hours ago and Im literally starving.Edit: I’d like to thank Dr Davis for personally reaching out to me about this issue. I was frustrated the day of mainly by how hungry I was, but I will say my surgery was painless and I don’t remember a thing. Within a couple days the pain was mostly gone and I had only a little trouble eating. I’d recommend people come here for their surgery just plan accordingly for surgeries or try to get one of the first slots of the day.

I was very comfortable the whole time I was at Davis Oral Surgery. The staff was friendly and the surgery was smooth. I had a dental implant placed, and while not painless it wasnt as bad as I was expecting. For anyone needing an oral surgeon, I would highly recommend Dr. Davis.

The surgeon called me at 4:55 pm the night before (like actually one night before) my surgery the next morning telling me they wouldn’t be able to see me, with no explanation of why or when they could see me again. If you had to have your wisdom teeth removed, I’d go to NuImage, because they waived the consultation and made an appointment that benefitted me. Stephen Davis is extremely unprofessional and I’d recommend you do it yourself before you attempt to see him.

Long Post Alert: I was referred to this place by my dentist. The surgery was done well but I was very disappointed with the billing. Prior to coming to location I called to find out what my initial charges would be. After the initial visit I was told to pay a different amount. Which was higher than what I was originally quoted. No one every told me that I would have to pay an additional $101. So after leaving I called back and I was told that I would be refunded the $101 and we be added to my final cost. I’m a type of person who plans in advance. I knew the amount I would have to pay and I also knew that my insurance would pay a certain amount. After reviewing my insurance pay out. I noticed that I was still charged an exam fee that I was told that would be given back to me. I called servers times to get this fixed and I got the run arounds. I was told that I would receive a call back and I wanted for a whole month and no one ever called. So I had to cal back and play phone tag only to find out that what I was original told wasn’t true. Instead of a refund my they billed my insurance. Which increased my expected pay. Please make sure when it comes to billing that you ask questions before they do anything. I really felt like I was tricked along with having the run arounds. The billing experience reminded me of a used car dealership. Hurry up and buy and worry about engine issues later. End of Long Post.

I agree, he did the same to me....I was supposed to receive IV sedation and he was unable to locate a vein. He told me that he would provide me with the gas and just numb my mouth...the did not give my mouth a change to get numb from the topical numbing meds and went on to stick the needle in my gums! I kept telling him it was hurting and I could feel the needle and he said he needed to finish. I told him to stop and he kept going! Overall, lets just say now that I have a phobia of dentists...that was the most traumatic experience I have ever had to deal with...IN MY LIFE! He had NO SYMPATHY and my comfort was definitely not a priority!

Dr. Davis did my wisdom teeth removal last year and all went without hiccup. I found him and his office staff to be pleasant. I didnt give a full five stars though because the in-office wait times bordered on the ridiculous. My surgery was scheduled at 11 am (it was the day right before labor day and this is all he had left) and I wasnt called back until after 12 pm. I waited for over an hour on the day of my surgery hungry and full of anxiety. The wait on my return visit was maybe 30 minutes after my appt. time. Otherwise, my experience was comfortable. Im sure the earlier you make your appt. the better your chances are of being seen on time.
