Dr. Matthews is hands-down the best. He has an incredible bedside manner. He always takes the time to talk with you and check in with you. He is highly professional while still making you feel completely comfortable and at ease. I trust him completely - and it doesnt get better than that as a pregnant patient. (Or any kind of patient!) Dr. Matthews delivered our baby girl and I truly could not have had a better experience with him. I knew from my first appointment with him at Wilkerson that he made me feel uniquely at ease and he went above and beyond to answer every single question I ever had throughout our many appointments. I went into my first labor and delivery with the most intense anxiety and debilitating fear, but I was also incredibly relieved to learn he was the doctor on call. At every turn during a long 30+ hours of induction and labor, Dr. Matthews listened intently, sympathized, and ultimately gave me the right words of encouragement that kept me focused on the task at hand — holding my baby for the first time! He took my feelings and concerns seriously while at the same time reminding me that I could do it. My husband and I are eternally grateful to Dr. Matthews for his patience, expertise, and amazing bedside manner.

Dr. Matthew performed laparotomy surgery to remove my large dermoid cyst on my left ovarian few months ago. It went very well. He’s also a very kind, caring, and humble doctor. Will definitely recommend him!
