Our minor child was taken here for evaluation, seen by a social worker, was not examined by a physician or psychiatrist, and shipped off to the first bed available in the state which could be four hours away or more. This is how their process works. Medical records at UNC was unable to provide copies of the intake/chart/discharge notes because after one week the doctor still had not signed them. Medical records are necessary in order to transfer to another facility, maintain continuity of care, update existing treating physicians however this is of no concern to UNC.Please believe the negative reviews. We would never allow one of our children to be evaluated here again.

The staff has been just wonderful my family member is getting so so much help here. It may be because she really wants help and is doing everything she can to get herself better. I only know that they are doing so much for and with her. I’m very proud of the efforts on both sides. I say if you truly want help this is the rt place for you.

Zero communication. Staff would often mix up their notes and write things about a different patient under someone elses chart. Almost everyone who works there is just so rude for no reason. A girl flat out said she wanted to kill herself and when she walked away the staff just sat there and laughed at her. It was so disgusting to watch and I ended up being the one that followed her to make sure she would be okay. The only thing that was relatively good about my stay here was the food. Thats it.

Very unprofessional.My wife has threatened to kill me. I was called by her doctor who gave me her name. I forgot to write it down. I called back and because the doc was mad at what I said the staff refused to give me the docs name. They hung up on me four times! I spoke to Patricia McCormack the House Supervisor. She told me it was a legal issue. I know HIPPA and I toldher to ask legal what section they believe a docs name violates. I was told they couldn’t help me and I was summarily dismissed. I called back using another phone because they used caller ID to screen my calls and route then to voicemail!They then told me after an hour of this nonsense hat my wife had been assessed. I asked for the docs name again and they said they weren’t going to give it to me!Is that legal? Are these docs working for the CIA?

My son went there. It is a place that they can detox while deciding where to go next.They will find you a place.

Always had good staff

I waited on a patient for pick up and no one really communicated with me that the patient left the building and I was a waiting for almost 2 hours.
