I came to Raleigh Neurosurgical as a walk in for back pain that had gotten worse over time. The administrative staff was great and I was taken back quickly which I was not expecting since I just used their walk in service. I was incredibly nervous and I was so lucky to meet with PA Dana Johnson. He is truly wonderful and made me feel better by just coming in and speaking to me. We didn’t even get to discussing my X-Ray yet, and I already felt important and taken care of. He is kind, and gave me a good treatment program that has me feeling better already.After returning home, I told my Mom about my experience and she said had seen Dana also a few years ago, and told me how wonderful he was to her as well.If you’re looking for for help with back or neck issues, I highly recommend Raleigh Neurosurgical and Dana Johnson.

In June of 2020, my wife suffered a broken neck from a motorcycle accident. Dr. Khoury and staff were wonderful, from the fusion of her neck, to the way they made us feel. We felt like we truly mattered to them and in a time like this, nothing is more important than that. Now a year later, my wife is at work full time and doing wonderful. Yes, our life is a little different, because she has limited use of 3 of her fingers and neuropathy of that hand. That said, we believe Dr. Khoury was instrumental in her having the quality of life that she does and God for putting the people in our path to help her and I through this terrible time. Front desk should take more ownership of responsibility. Like making appointments WHEN IM IN THE OFFICE. Rather than never calling back.I have a disability, Ive made 2 appointments, requested reminders, got non.The After care App is annoying. I much rather have people that can respond. I called to schedule myself a appointment for headaches. I asked the receptionist what forms of insurance did they accept . When I tried explaining my insurance she hung up in my face. Very professional ma’am you deserve recognition for horrible customer service.

I had to give 1star to open review to write.. if I didnt have to it would be a zero. Dr. Lars Gardner done a surgery on my girlfriends back that I quote I would do this surgery on my sister. Well we wish she had been on the operating table instead of my girlfriend. After telling me after surgery that he wasnt able to do what he said that absolutely didnt help he sent her to his pain clinicthat after 2 visits the gave her a drug test that didnt even have positive results of what they were giving her said she tested .0015% positive for cocaine. Both of these places get what money they can out if you then dump you on the street and quit returning your calls .. QUACKS

My recovery was better than expected. I am able to live my life without pain stopping me. I am very pleased with my entire experience.

After getting no help from my former doctor for my extreme back pain, I took it upon myself to visit this facility with a copy of my MRI. I was able to get an appointment immediately, at which the doctor studied my MRI and thoroughly explained it to me. I ended up needing emergency back surgery, and the office was able to square away insurance immediately, and two days later I had the surgery. He did an excellent job and my back is healed and I am able to move and walk again (I had a severely herniated disc). I’ve since recommended this facility to others and they have had good luck there also.

After 3 other experienced surgeons (including one that did my past ACDF) told me to go on long term pain management for my symptoms, I was crushed. Dr. Lars Gardner came up with a plan that was not only insightful, but successful in resolving my injury and pain. I found out that he had to adapt his surgical plan somewhat after opening me up; but he made decisions that were in my best interests as the patient, not his time or pocket. He was very thorough in his explanations, courteous, did not rush me, nor was he condescending. I found him caring and helpful. His staff (especially Stephanie!!) have been so accommodating post op as well. I’ve had tons of questions and minor freak outs where I’ve called their office, and they call me back the same day, patiently explain everything I’m concerned about and help calm me down. They’ve also been very upfront about risks, recovery, and long term success.As a repeat spine surgeon patient, I would highly recommend Dr. Lars Gardner. He has put me on the road to getting my life back.

Dr. Rich is the best doctor and a very caring doctor. I have had 4 back and 2 neck surgeries under the care of Dr. Rich. With each surgery I got positive results with the pain being relieved. Over the past Dr. T. Garner and The Raleigh Neurosurgical Team has performed two surgeries on me. The last surgery was an anterior cervical discectomy and fusion. This was done a few years ago and I have no regrets. No more pain from the pinched nerve in my neck. I highly recommend that you check them out. After a traffic accident in 2016, I went to a local neurosurgeon that said that I risked being paralyzed if I didnt have have neck fusion done immediately. That quickly scared me off.. I was referred to Dr. Garner after asking my family Dr. who hed send his family too if they needed neck surgery. I met with Dr. Garner and he assured me no emergency surgery was needed and that I wasnt and any more risk of being paralyzed than any other person. He said that hed try all alternative methods to avoid surgery. After 4 years of trying alternative methods, I appeared that Surgery was clearly unavoidable. On surgery day, Dr. Gardner assured me that everything was going to be just fine and for me not to worry. Both Dr. Garner and Dr. Gardner operated on me and did a 2 level fusion. After i woke up, I was amazed i had no neck pain, no numb fingers. Recovery was a snap, no pain, no stiffness and it almost seemed like i didnt have surgery. 4 years later, still perfect with no issues. Best in the business for sure!!

My husband came into Wake Med with a bleeding stroke and was given no hope of making it. Surgeon Lars Gardner decided to relieve the pressure on the brain and see what happens. My husband is alive and able to walk and take care of most of his needs. He still has aphasia but I still have my husband. When I thanked Dr Gardner, he gave me a easy to understand update on what he had done and what I could expect if he continued to do well.

Dr Weber is an excellent doctor and highly skilled. He listened to my symptoms and treated my shoulder bursitis in quick order. He takes time with you to really understand whats going on before he makes a call on how to treat it. He has also treated my cervical spine with Epidural Steroid injections with a high rate of success. I trust him 100%. His staff was also very responsive on getting me into his schedule quickly based on my pain level. I would highly recommend Dr Weber to any patient requiring the kind of care I needed.

The doctor I saw for 6 of my brain surgeries decided he didnt want to deal with me anymore. Sent one of the pa in to yell at me and told me not to come back. I have never been treated so badly by a doctor before. I didnt understand what I did or said to be treated like that. It wasnt my fault the shunts he put in my head kept breaking. And now that Im trying to get help they wont send ALL my medical records to the new doctor. When the new doctor called they gave the attitude and the run around. They said they understand now why I want a new doctor. The nurses were always kind and helpful. Thats the only thing they have going for them. Their nurses.

I suffer long term chronic pain from damage and multiple surgeries.I have see Dr Paul Carnes and his team for several months in an effort to help reduce some of the pain. I find them very professional yet with a personal touch. I know I probably am a bit of an odd case but they go along as I use my sense of humor as my coping mechanism.I thank them for making what is a very painful situation much more tolerable.

When i went to Raleigh Neuro surgeons i had extreamly high hopes that they would be able to help me after reading all the reviews.I have been suffering with excruciating headaches for the last few months. along with neck pain and numbness and weaknesse on my left side. When i met with Dr Belayev i was EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED to say the least. He litterly spent lessthen 5 minutes with me, did not introduce himself properly and had no bed side manners. He did not explain my MRI with me nor give me any idea as to whatmy problem is.He was very cold and acted like i was doing nothing but wasting his time. If i could give zero stars i would. He was the WORST Dr i have ever met with!! When i left there i was beyound disappointed and cried the whole way home.

Although correctly diagnosed, my MG condition could not be treated at the clinic due to lack of capability. Nevertheless, I was instructed on where to go and exactly what would happen when I arrived there. Spot on 100 percent correct.

Im 9 months post op on a microdiscectomy by Dr. Garner. I feel great. I was in great hands with Raleigh Neurosurgical. The whole staff was most helpful with my scheduling and making me feel safe and positive. I made the right choice with this clinic. The dry needle therapy did wonders for the spasms I was having in my shoulders and neck. A few more treatments will be helpful. therapist were excellent and professional.

I had cluster headaches, which are severe headaches occurring every day, usually in the same time of the day and I was informed over the phone, before scheduling an appointment, that I could be taken care of.When the doctor saw me, he told me that the clinic did not treat migraines, which was not the case at all, and didnt even wanted to prescribe the same medication I was already on, even knowing that I was running out of it and having severe pain.A few months later I was billed with the amount of 175 dollars and now the clinic doesnt even respond to my emails.I dont recommend this place.

Dr, Tim Garner was great. He worked with my orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Nelson, to do a fusion of l3/4 and l4/5. He was great and kept me informed before and after surgery. In addition, I have seen the spine department at The Cleveland Clinic for an unrelated issued and they were very complimentary of the job Dr. Garner and Dr Nelson performed. There was no doubt in mind they did a great job but the reassurance from the prestigious group was nice. I hope to not need them again but if there comes a time I will definitely call them again.

Dr Margraf operated on my back.His concern over my health was beyond my expectations.He told me I needed immediate emergency surgery. Then he made it happen!!!Within 5 hours of making that statement he reserved a bed for me at Wake Med for that same day. I was checked in w/a time slot for an operating room. That’s what I call real concern for a patients condition.His sunny disposition coupled with competence made me relaxed in my choice of a surgeon.I’d refer anyone I know to Dr Margraf. And I have encouraged several of my friends to see him.I read over reviews from patience’s who used other doctors in this practice. I have had a good experience at Raleigh Neurosurgical Clinic for Cervical Disk surgery. After months of PT and Pain Clinic the Insurance finally allowed the Surgery. I had two disks removed and fused with great relief. After several years of no pain I started to feel pain again from this area. The Doctors examined the area after an MRI and again performed a Surgery where they relieved compressed nerves in the neck. It was a great relief again thanks to the Doctors at Raleigh Neurosurgical Clinic.?

Doctor Robert Allen is one of the best surgeons for spinal cord problems in the field. He has done several back surgeries for me and I highly recommend him to every one I talk to that needs this work. I believe that he and his staff care about people and they make you feel good just to talk with them. The ladies in the office are also super.

I have had problems with my back since 2002. i had surgery in 2004 which didnt take care of the pain that I was having. After years of pain pills and my back slowly deteriorating I got a referral to the Raleigh Neurosurgical Clinic. The staff was cordial and efficient. I didnt have to wait long to see the doctor. I had some x rays and returned to the clinic to discuss a treatment plan. Dr. Margraf was courteous and and answered all my questions. He referred me to Dr. Weber, a pain specialist that works with the office. Dr. Weber is great. He suggest that I have a spinal stimulator trial done to see if that would help with the chronic pain that I have been dealing with all these years, I had the trial and the HF-10 seems to be my miracle. I was pain free for 6 days. The trial is over and I am waiting for my surgery to have the implant done. Meanwhile, the doctors at the clinic will continue my care until I am able to have the surgery to fix the structure in my back and neck. I think the staff and doctors are willing to go that extra mile to help their patients. If you are looking for a neurosurgeon, make Raleigh Neurosurgical Clinic your first choice. If you need a pain and spine doctor, Dr. Weber and Associates are the ones to call.

I had severe leg pain that made walking very difficult and went to see Dr. Rich who was highly recommended to me. He diagnosed the problem and explained the treatment options in detail and told me I could expect a very good outcome from lower back surgery. He answered all of my questions and facilitated getting the surgery scheduled quickly at the Capitol City Surgery Center. The pain was gone immediately following surgery and has not returned 18 months later. Ive been able to return to a pain free active lifestyle. Dr. Rich, the office staff and staff at Capital City Surgery Center were all extremely professional and helpful. I highly recommend Dr. Rich.

Ive had two surgeries here. First was a lower lumbar fusion. After having extreme pain and numbness I had immediate relief and resumed a normal life with normal function. Several years later I had neck surgery due to numbness and pain in the left arm. The fusion again was an absolute success with complete recovery. I wouldnt go anywhere else. The entire staff and doctors have been outstanding and professional on every visit.

For over twenty years I have come to Dr. Allen and associates. One surgery resulted in instant relief from cervical disc pain. Dr. Garner operated on my lower back in April 2016. Before the operation, my quality of life was terrible. It was difficult to stand or walk without shooting leg pain. I was sleeping maybe 4 hours a night in a lounge chair when I went to see Dr Garner at Raleigh Neurosurgical Clinic. I was walking without pain the morning after the operation. He gave me back the quality of life I wanted. That operation and the quality physical therapy group Dr Garner set me up has kept me pain free for the last 2.5 years. I continue to do the physical therapy exercises daily. My decision to go to the Raleigh Neurosurgical Clinic and Dr. Garner has given me back the life I want to live with my family.

The surgery was as Dr. Robert Allen had described it, recovery was without problems as was the wound healing without issues. I would have not other doctor operate on my back if such was needed and recommended by him.

The care I received from Dr. Garner while trying to avoid surgery was excellent. When I got to the point I needed surgery, I was transitioned to the partner who excelled at my specific surgical need. It was performed very well and the respect of the surgeon by the hospital staff was evident everywhere.My only downside is that the stated post surgery situation was grossly overstated. I was told that I would be without pain after surgery and in 2 weeks should expect to be back at work. It took me a month to get back to work and a year later I am still not without pain. To his credit, this is along the lines of what Dr. Garner told me it might be. I am expecting my pain to gradually disappear in another 6 months. Again, in line with Dr. Garners predictions.Dont get me wrong tho. At the time of surgery my pain was a 10 out of 10 and I had no fear going into surgery. I just wanted it done. After surgery my pain was closer to a 6 and it has slowly decreased to a 1 at this point. So I am in much better condition than I was a year ago and I have a life I can participate in now.It just took longer than the surgeon said, but about the amount of time Dr. Garner predicted. Your results probably will be better. I worked hard to avoid surgery and that most likely affected my recovery when I ended up needing it. You can expect excellent care and top notch surgery if you need it.

Dr. Tim Garner is a great physician. He has treated me several times without doing any surgery. I appreciate his being conservative with the scalpel. He has treated my pain without narcotics. His judicious use of steroids and non steroid anti inflamatories and physical therapy has resolved my issued.

I have had two back surgeries recently, performed by Dr. Garner and Dr. Gardner. I am quite happy with the results as well as the counseling and overall care. I no longer have the severe pain associated with my back that made my life miserable.I have had considerable contact with Dr. Garner as part of the followup after surgery and he has always been totally professional as well as personable and easy to talk to. I went in for consultation about bulging disc impinging on nerve and causing pain. Doctor Allen and his staff treated me very well. They assessed the issue, gave me options and proceeded to schedule and perform surgery in a timely and professional manner. One year post surgery and release back to work, it was the best decision I could have made.

After my stroke in June if 2018, I was taken to the Wkemed Raleigh hospital. Shortly after arriving, a neurosurgeon from Raleigh neurosurgical Clinic was able to go into my brain and physically remove the clot from the clogged artery. I strongly believe that the procedure saved my life. I have recovered from most of the effects of the stroke. I believe that was made possible by he knowledge and skill of the neurosurgeon. I am eternally grateful for the efforts of the surgeon.
