The staff was amazing! Everyone was attentive, professional, and cordial. They respected the wishes of our family, communicated exceptionally well, and provided high quality service to not only us, but to our deceased loved one. Mitchell Funeral Home in my own words I would have to say the service i received from Mitchell Funeral Home was outstanding. They were very professional and very helpful to me and my family as we plan the memorial service for my daughter. They were very compassionate and made the process very easy for my family during this time of sorrow. No parent should have to do this for there kid but its nice to know that they were there to make it as easy as possible to make it what my daughter would have want. I was extremely happy with the guidance and expertise with all the employees. When we made a typo creating the obituary Robyn made sure it was corrected quickly in the guest book. She had the expertise we needed during a very stressful time in our lives. I would recommend her and Mitchell to anyone who had a death in their family. I first learned of Mitchell Funeral Home last February when I attended a dinner and presentation about prepaid funeral services. I was favorably impressed with the presentation so purchased services for my wife and me. Little did I know I would need their services so soon. My wife passed away in September. From the moment they picked her up at our house the staff of Mitchell Funeral Home were as compassionate and helpful as I think is possible. We had a memorial reception st the funeral home and.every detail was taken care of quickly and professionally. Every suggestion made by Robyn was excellent and resulted in a great reception. Carol and Amy Jo were gentle, kind, respectful and professional to me during the preplanning process. They offered many options about how to provide the best service for my mom. Their funeral home includes a chapel, family area and dining area. Also, a horse carriage is available.

First and foremost, I’ve never felt the need for a google review, until today. Today, I attended a funeral for a family friend. I’m rating this place a 2 star because of Amy’s unprofessionalism towards the family. The understanding was that the place was reserved for the family from 11-1:30. They were told there were no other reservations for the evening until Saturday.Around 12 pm Amy came out from the room, pulled several family members aside, and asked whether or not the service has begun. One member stated, they were waiting on the Monk to arrive. Amy gave a hiss and stated, “oh my god... well you’ve had the place since 11am”. (As if the family had full control on another religious individual who was not physically present).As she walked off towards the back room just past the bathrooms muttering inaudible terms. I’m not denying they didn’t have the place from 11am, my concern is, why the unprofessional comments? Why the temper tantrum towards the grieving family? Who takes their issues on others.You would think as an adult, you would have some sort of problem solving ability to contact the alleged reservation and allow them the acknowledgment of possible delays.In all, the second star came from the other employees on scene who helped the family dramatically with their kindness, professionalism and courtesy. While we are being petty, I would’ve provided 3 stars had the refreshments and cookies were available as noted. I saw water, but no cookies.
