I have been going to this location for my eye exams for several years now. The staff has consistently been professional and personable, and this visit was no exception.This was my first exam with Dr. Keel Godwin and what a great experience. After a great experience with the tech staff, I felt that she took the time to explain all my test results and that she intently listened and considered my concerns about my eye conditions over the past year.With my recent experience with Dr. Godwin and the other optometrists I have worked with in the past at this location, I can certainly continue to recommend this location for your eye examinations.

Dawn was very welcoming. She was friendly, funny, and made the experience joyful. While getting the exam done both the doctor and the general manager did a great job making me feel safe. Everything was sanitized before I was in the rooms and everything I would need to touch was sanitized again prior to me touching it. Truly the best experience I have had with an eye exam and glasses purchase. Keep up the great work. You have amazing staff that work hard and care for the customer.

The staff was extremely kind. I definitely would recommend anyone to have their eye exams with this team as they make sure you feel very comfortable. Despite how busy they were the day I went, I did not feel at any point like I was being shoved through the process to get done quicker so they could move on to the next patient. The ladies at the front desk were also very nice both to me and several other patients and customers that had come in.

The entire team was friendly, courteous, and punctual. There was no wait time at all. It was actually the best experience at an ophthalmology appointment Ive ever had. Dr. Godwin conveyed genuine interest and concern while providing excellent care and the appropriate level of explanation of procedures and outcomes.

I am extremely impressed with the team that I encountered today during my visit. I was greeted immediately upon entering the building by a friendly and helpful gentleman. The ladies at the front desk who checked me in were also very pleasant and welcoming. The tall guy that brought me back for the first portion of my exam, as well as the woman in training, were accommodating and efficient during the initial testing. I was also very satisfied with my interaction with Dr. Michelle. She took the time to provide essential details as to how she was evaluating the health of my eyes from the scans taken. I normally don’t write many reviews, but this visit inspired me to provide feedback. Not only was the staff friendly, but extremely professional, educating, and efficient. The person in charge of the hiring process must have great interview and observational skills. I will definitely return for my next eye exam if I am still in the area.

Really easy, explained everything and made me feel comfortable

The staff was so friendly!! The front desk and eye techs were so helpful and made the process easy. I was grateful they helped me find additional eye coverage I didn’t know I had. The Eye Doctor was very kind and explained things in a helpful way. This was the best eye care staff I’ve worked with!I do wish I had the option to choose whether I had the extra charge for the specialty eye tests that were charged on top of my regular copay. I love that they avoid eye dilation when possible but would have liked more transparency with the extra charge.They also made an appointment for next year without asking, I was surprised i didn’t get the option to choose this.All in all I’ll return again but ask more questions.

Had a great time picking out my new frames today at Lenscrafters. Dawn was so very helpful and fun!

This was my sons first attempt at contacts and there were several bumps in the process but the staff was great and continued to work with him for 3.5 hours until he was able to put in and take out. Awesome group!!

Prescription was wrong. I used my new prescription from The Eye Care Center to order new glasses. Having blurry vision with new glasses, I contacted The Eye Center. Promising to call me back after talking with Optometrist, I had to follow up with another call to schedule visit. During visit, the Center acknowledged that prescription was wrong and only provided a Sorry. Meanwhile, I spent money and time on glasses that I cant wear due to their mistake.

I had an absolutely amazing experience here. The staff were all lovely and made sure to answer any and all of my questions. The exam was informative and in-depth, and Im so happy to have found this center. Samuel was amazing as well!

Everything I experienced was 1st class, from the optical assistant to the Optician. Plus, the front desk was flexible when scheduling me as well as being cheerful and helpful.

The exam was professional and competent, and I had a great consultation that let me find a good fit for contacts. Beyond that, though, there is a lot of positivity in this office. It seems like a happy place to work, and I was happy when I left.

Update - from the experience sectioned below to the one up top.They completly dropped the ball on actually ordering the contacts I requested. Not daily. Tried pushing it. When I reached out to see if monthly was available. They said not yet. Never followed up. Person closed my request. When I got around to it over 45 days later. They tried to charge me for an exam again. ArgoFuck Yourself. Never again work in North hills and will venamitly tell people to stay away.1st experienceI had the best time watching your staff interact. It was clear they worked really well together and above all else, it was just so nice to be somewhere that the vibe was so positive. From check in to check out this was hands down the best experience I have had at not just the eye doctor but probably any medical related appointment in my life. I dont have a track record of bad experiences to be clear.The optometrist that took care of me spoke in terms I could understand to better grasp my vision issues. After 30 years of wearing glasses and contacts, I was surprised how little I really knew. Upon further investigation of my vision history we were able to identify better options related to my issues and this would not have happened if the doctor had not been actually engaged in the appointment.To the staff, keep up the amazing atmosphere by just continuing to be yourselves!

I recently moved to Raleigh and was in need of seeing an eye doctor, so I can refill my contact lenses order. I found this location because of the raving reviews, which clearly was not the same case for me.My Experience with this eye center was not good at all. Initially the Doctor I saw insisted to strengthen my prescription on both eyes, and I had already told the Dr. that I dont feel well after putting the newly prescribed contact on as it was too strong for me. I feel dizzy. He insisted that I try it, and there was no follow up effort whatsoever. Normally, all of the eye doctors office Ive been to, they follow up with me after several weeks to check on things. But with this office, its like a one time deal, Ive not heard anything from the office since.So I called back to schedule a follow up. Another Doctor saw me and checked my eyes again and agreed that the first prescription was way too strong. She revised the prescriptions and gave me some contact lenses to try on. Before I leave, she clearly told the front desk to do a follow up two weeks after my fitting. No calls received whatsoever.I just have simply never been to any eye doctors office that is so irresponsible. Probably will not going to return.

Recently visited this place on several occasions in May and recently again on June 1st. At each of my visits, the staff were so friendly and genuinely kind that I definitely felt that I could leave my elderly father in these ladies care. On my last two visits, in May and June 1st, I had the pleasure to work with Dr. David Wong. Hands down, one of the best optometrists I’ve seen. On both visits he was just so genuine, highly informative, and definitely gave me that one on one time that I felt I needed. I’m that patient that just needs things explained. I at times just want and need to know why. He was excellent at explaining things to me and I definitely left more informed pertaining to my prescription. Definitely gave me the impression that he enjoys his job and that he genuinely cares about what’s best for his patients and what they feel most comfortable with. Definitely would recommend this place!

The North Hills Eye Center customer service that I received was outstanding! They go above and beyond with their service and care about their customers. I needed help with a pair of contact lenses when visiting from out of town. After calling four other optometric centers in Raleigh, these folks are the only once who took the time to help and genuinely listened.Would highly recommend using them for our optometric needs!

I was having trouble breathing in my mask because I have COPD and extreme claustrophobia and I got overheated. A male dressed in orange scrubs came and treated me with very little compassion and told me it wasnt the temp in the place, but rather it was just me and pointed out I was wearing long sleeves, which it was 36° outside, so of course I was wearing long sleeves. Per the executive order, I technically am not required to wear a mask because of my medical diagnosis, so I found the way I was treated to be very unprofessional and totally lacking compassion. I am seriously considering finding another eye doctor.

I had truly pleasant experience.

The doctor was great. The people up front who make appointments and do the prescreening are disorganized and don’t listen very well. They sent out the same set of forms to everyone (if they remember to) rather than pay attention to what you checked when you made your appointment. When I called and questioned them about it they told me to lie on the forms. They also sent my husband forms to fill out but did not send me the needed forms but instead called me and were threatening to cancel the appointment if I did not get the forms turned in! I had to inform them they did NOT ever send me the forms. They sent me between email and text 4 sets of reminders of my appointment that I had to confirm! They refused to work me in at the time my husband had his appointment, when I asked by phone, and said they’d call if they had any cancellations and could work me in. Then, when my husband arrived asked if I was with him, because they could work me in. They had never called me! I had stayed home because they never called and it’s an hour from home. They did not seem to understand this until my husband told them repeatedly the same thing! The staff upfront does not listen well, is not professional, and lacks organization.

The wait to be called in for the appointment was too long - approximately 25 minutes from the scheduled time of the appointment. The wait for the doctor to review the tests and pictures of my eye, was another 20 minutes. Those idle times were not acceptable especially when I came in for the appointment 15 minutes early. Other than the wait, everything went okay.

THE DOCTOR WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL AND EASED MY MIND ON MY ISSUE WITH MY LEFT EYE. THE STAFF WAS FREINDLY AND HELPFUL. THANK ALL OF YOU.

Dr. G was so kind and thorough. He made going to an eye exam fun and was clear when explaining all of the options for both me and my husband. The staff was also helpful in explaining costs up front and making sure we understood all of our purchasing options. Also everything was sanitized and cleaned throughout our visit. We felt very safe and cared for.

This Eye Center now requires, that everyone who schedules an appointment in advance, provide their credit card information on their check-in portal or over the phone. I expressed that I was uncomfortable doing this and if I could speak with the Manager and I was quickly told she was the Assistant Manager and she responded that was policy and she would be happy to cancel our appointments. She told me its their policy because they have many people scheduling appointments who do not show up. I told her we have been customers for over 2yrs and when we make our appointments in advance, we show up. I requested to have this policy emailed to me and I was placed on a lengthy hold while she contacted her corporate office and was told no. Ive been in the medical field for 38 years and no office mandates/requires you to provide your personal credit card information in advance of a visit. Plus, the portal mentions nothing about why this confidential payment information is required. Customers should not all be penalized for others who do not show up at their eye appointments. That is inappropriate and unprofessional to request this information in advance of a eye appt. I told her to cancel both appointments and that we will be taking our business elsewhere.

Workers, not front desk, were very condescending and continued to cut me off with yeah! Okay!, when they werent listening to me at all. The male doctor I had talked to himself constantly and kept talking over me. I got 2 sentences in about MY eyes!

This was my first visit to the Eye Center and everyone was nice, competent and professional. I felt very safe with all the Covid procedures without feeling alienated, threatened, or judged. They had a nice balance under the circumstances. And there was no high-pressure on buying glasses or contacts which is greatly appreciated... and will more likely result in my buying from them. Overall a good experience.

Dr. Clayton Davis is quite an excellent doctor! He is very knowledgeable, pleasant, kind, thorough, un-rushed and helpful when addressing my vision concerns. He is obviously well-trained and experienced. I was so grateful to have found him, by chance, through the online appointment system, after my doc of 10 years moved. I have my new forever doctor!His optical assistant was, likewise, very thorough and pleasant to work with. What a great place! It ran like clockwork.

Expensive, even with a good health insurance plan. The staff was friendly, but there was something about the way the doctor coded my visit that led to only $4 being billed to my insurance. This has never happened to me before, so the bill I received at check out was surprising and unsettling, especially given these difficult economic times. Next time I visit an eye doctor, I’ll shop around and ask about pricing beforehand.

Ive had the pleasure of being a pt of dr biaggi and dr Middleton (aka dr G). Both have been great. I first saw dr biaggi for my regular eye exam and when I asked for referral for lasik/prk surgery she referred me to an excellent doctor. I then saw dr Middleton for my follow up after my prk surgery and he was just excellent! He called my surgeon to update him while he saw me. Ive never had an eye doctor that explained every detail of an exam and he also explained everything regarding the healing process after prk (he explained everything better than my surgeon). His bedside manner was also outstanding; he leads you out to the front desk and ensure you are checked out and a follow up schedule is made with the staff. I had to do more follow up appts after the surgery and Dr Middleton was very sensitive in terms of making sure my eyes were ok and was very reassuring. One thing for sure, don’t underestimate retail eye centers!

All precautions were taken prior to check-in and when I arrived. Very thorough exam and state-of-the-art equipment..Pleasant staff and doctors

I know we are facing crazy times, but Lenscrafters handled my appt in a very professional manner. They made sure all my needs were met before i left. I had individual attention and once I came in the door my appt went quickly and flawlessly. Thank you for wonderful customer service and not to mention I can see much much better too. :)
