I had several issues with this practice: 1) The tooth that needed a root canal was the same tooth this office worked on a couple years ago. With my recent pain episode, the x-ray done by a regular dentist showed that the canal had not been fully packed, which was why the previous root canal failed. I decided to go back to this office, thinking they would surely take responsibility and repair it. 2) The office requested additional x-rays that would not be paid by insurance, despite already having had x-rays done a week before. 3) My appointment was mid-September 2021. At the time, COVID was rampant in Idaho & hospitals were rationing care. At this office, reception staff were not wearing masks. When asked if staff was vaccinated, one receptionist said she thought the doctors probably were. I walked out w/o being seen, as this practice does not care about the health & safety of its patients.** Wish I could rate at ZERO STARS. **

First time needed a root canal. Was nervous going into it but they were very friendly and assured me it’d be smooth sailing. They weren’t wrong! Much easier than I was expecting. Didn’t hurt a bit and only took an hour. Amazing experience and would recommend to anyone needing a root canal.

I am very nervous going to the dentist. I needed a root canal and was referred to Access Endodontics in Post Falls. I had a wonderful experience. The staff was caring and Dr. Tim was very gentle and made me feel comfortable through the entire process. I highly recommend Access Endodontics.

Every person on staff that I spoke with was extremely friendly and helpful, their goal was to make me at ease. I have plenty of anxiety about the dentist! They handled everything extremely professionally, explained things as they were happening, were up front about pricing. Im very pleased I had my root canal done here!

I shared with this office my dental anxiety and that Ive been in major pain and trauma for a month. They didnt follow up with me and are not able now to put me to sleep. Im very upset.I let the doctor know I was upset that I had to sit through 1.75 hrs of root canals. The nurse was very rude. I asked the doctor who would be assisting him because I wasnt comfortable with the nurse. He walked away and told me he wouldnt do my procedures.Its wasnt until this morning that the doctor noticed I wasnt set up for sedation. Ive been texting and talking to the office for WEEKS. I was very clear that I could do whatever needed. My office lady stopped responding and I just showed up at the appointment time. My trusty auto text was what I followed.You would think someone in this profession would understand what it was like to be on this side of his drilling. Clearly now. They dont care about me. Office managers says he will help me schedule.

I have had a great experience with Access endo. I split my tooth and was in a lot of pain. They got me right in and took excellent care of me getting me out of pain that very visit. The Dr and staff were all kind and reassuring. I would feel comfortable sending any friends there

The receptionist at this office was very unhelpful with the billing process. She did not go the extra mile, to answer questions and make sure I understood the billing issues. I called her 5 times to try and coordinate the insurance (mine was out of network which they apparently didnt know - why wouldnt you know Blue Cross of Idaho is not a provider??) and then she was very rude. I asked to speak to the office manager and since he didnt answer, I left a message. He never returned my phone call. I went to this place because the Gatten people are supposed to be very ethical but they employ inept and noncustomer service related people who dont make any effort to solve billing issues in a timely manner. I started trying to solve this right after my appointment in June and today when I called they had barely received my EOB when my insurance company settled the claim on August 2nd. There were so many other miscommunication issues. Ive gone to another endodontist in the area who was so much more personable. I will never return to this one. Im very disappointed in my experience.

Had a root canal repair. Was expecting pain afterwards, but to my delight; NO PAIN!!! They were very professional. It appears they are using current technology during the procedure. Would definitely return if I needed their services again

I’ve known Tim for many years and he’s one of the best people I’ve had the privilege of meeting. I hadn’t been a patient of his practice until last week, but I felt so well taken care of by him and his staff through my consult and procedure. I wish I had used Tim for my first root canals, but the repeat process was so easy and comfortable, I had 0 pain at the site of my most recent root canal performed by Tim.

Dr.Tim and his assistant Chris explained everything they were doing through the whole root canal process which I liked. The entire staff working there were so kind and friendly. If you need a root canal, I highly recommend them. 😁

The doctor was completely unprofessional! He never once saw us and wouldn’t answer any questions rather having his assistant do all the work. If we could go somewhere else we would. We hope to get better help from him next time we come in

I liked the explanations of what was going to happen and as it was happening.I was confident of the doctors skills.Also, it would be hard to find a friendlier staff.

Extremely quick, great chair side manner. The only thing I would say is I showed up at 935 for my 945 appointment and was told I was late. I wish the receptionist wouldve just told me what time I was supposed to be there instead of 945 but 20 min early! And then she got defensive when I told her next time just tell me what time in supposed to be there. Otherwise the Dr was incredible. The hygienists was extremely nice and caring. Id back again in a second. Thanks

Dr Gatten and his wonderful team impressed me from the first phone call. My first root canal took less than 1 hour at a very reasonable price and my tooth feels normal again. I had zero pain during the procedure and I was very comfortable! Thank you to Access endo in Post Falls.

The term root canal can bring a grown man to his knees nevermind the actual procedure. This week I needed 2 root canals....Merry Christmas to me.....which brought me to Access Endodontics. I couldnt have asked for a better experience. Friendly, cheerful and empathetic staff and Dr. Dusty Gatten is a prince among men! I especially appreciated that he explained what he was going to do and why and then again during the procedure he explained what he was doing and what to expect! I wouldnt hesitate to use them again if needed and can strongly recommend them.

I think it is just not fair to charge people for those expensive full mouth x-rays while people have brought their x-rays from their general dentist. They forced me to do one and I have to pay the whole amount as any insurance does not cover it. While I had my dentists’ images from two days ago. It is super unprofessional. Their doc even didnt look at it. I said I dont want it !!!

Access Endodontics has been there for me for several years. From root canals to screening for why I have tooth sensitivity. They, all of the doctors and staff, have been kind, courteous, and professional. Unlike other [so called] professionals I have sought help from, they have never recommended a procedure that was unnecessary. Would I recommend them? Absolutely!!!

I was really upset about having to go to a specialist for a root canal because my insurance wouldn’t cover it however access worked with me and allowed me to break down the cost into two payments. I’m terrified of dental work even teeth cleaning but they numbed my mouth well, they explained a good portion of the progress and would update me along the way. They were patient even when I kept moving my head.. (I wasn’t the easiest patient I’m sure). The doctor was polite, knowledgeable, and the whole process was fairly quick and definitely painless! I don’t remember the nurses name or assistant/dental hygienist but she was so sweet and offered me a blanket and her bedside manner was wonderful! I would highly recommend you go here! I’m still scared of dental work but I feel completely confident in the abilities of this office!!

Referred by my dentist for root canal. Carefully diagnosed and fixed problem. In very good hands with Dr. Rencher and Madelyn. I would definitely go back if needed.

Just got done with a root canal, the doctor and assistant were awesome. They kept me updated on everything going on. Plus the precautions for covid were wonderful and made me feel 100% safe. Thank you all very much!

I was so nervous coming in for a root canal, and from the moment I walked in, I felt in good hands. From the covid protocals making me feel as safe as possible in the midst of a pandemic, to the positive and cheerful attitude of both the receptionist and the hygenist/assistant to the care and attention from the doctor. The doctor explained everything he was doing and what was happening. Nothing was surprising and it was virtually painless. Would highly recommend.

I was having quite a bit of pain with my tooth. They were very accommodating and got me in quickly. They were kind, gentle and efficient during my appointment and the pain is completely gone! I would definitely recommend them, I had a great experience!

These docs are a specialists specialist. While general dentists do most root canals in the US, Access Endo is the first place I call when I need to refer a complicated case. My referrals are only the most challenging cases and Access makes it look easy. Their reports back to my practice are clear, concise, and professional. Perhaps most importantly, they can schedule patients soon after my referral.

Fantastic experience, friendly staff, great care for patient. Not covered by most insurance so paid out of pocket, but worth it for great work done. They were very thorough and did quality work today for root canal. I will try to review again in a month after we go to normal dentist to put on crown etc.

I went to Access Endodontics recently for my first root canal. I really wasnt looking forward to the procedure and was somewhat nervous; however the staff and the dentist at the clinic did everything they could to put me at ease and explain the procedure to me. While Im still not a fan of having a root canal done, I couldnt have asked for a better experience. The staff was friendly, professional, and considerate.

I had broken a tooth and my dentist recommended a root canal before I get a Crown installed. I am giant wimp about dental work and I was nervous and terrified. I was actually having nightmares about it leading up to the proceedure. I even contemplated NOT going and just running from it.This team is amazing. They made me feel at ease and relaxed and now I feel a little silly for being so worried.

Without sounding over zealous, this was the best, most sophisticated, painless root canal I have ever had!Recommend to all ages!

Had work done here once and it went fine. Went back a couple years later for a different issue. The dentists and there helpers were great but the lady that handles the billing was the rudest POS ever. i dont understand why she was so rude and mean when money wasnt an issue. I am fully insured and was paying the rest cash. ultimately her attitude got me searching for another place to get my surgery done and im sure glad i did!I found Dr. Penberthy at Northwest Endodontics. He was able to do the job sufficiently and for HALF the price of access! I highly recommend him over access

I was so impressed by the way they estimated my treatment and costs. They were spot on! I couldnt be happier. The cost was lower than other endodontic offices and the care was exceptional. I would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone who needs a root canal. (I dont understand a previous comment that was unhappy about costs and insurance.) My experience was the complete opposite. AMAZING!!!

I walked out of this practice without waiting to see the dentist because:1. The receptionist, Annette, was very difficult to work with just to get an appt. and seemed to expect me to coordinate care between the 2 dental practices.2. I arrived with full xrays, including at CT film taken 1 week ago but without looking at them they insisted that they do all xrays over to make sure they are right and, dont worry, your insurance will pay---an ethics complaint is on its way to the Idaho Dental Assoc. along with a letter to the insurance company that had just paid to have the same xrays done a week ago.3. I sat in the chair for 40 minutes waiting to see the dentist with no information about the cause of the delay and finally walked out.I know there have been other complaints about this practice

WONDERFUL. They were able to get me in for an emergency root canal the same day that I called. The staff is very professional, considerate, and knowledgable. They made the procedure as comfortable as possible and were very patient with my own nerves. I highly recommend them, and while I dont hope to return, if I need to it will be here.

I know that endodontists usually get referred by a dentist. I was also. But I really wanted to leave a review because of how awesome they handled me through my root canal. It was a good experience and am thankful for their care.

If your root canal does not go well you will get no support from the office. I had a lot of pain that was not fixed with the ibuprofen and tylenol that was recommended. I was told to call the after hours on call line if the prescription pain killer ran out and i needed more. I called twice and never got a call back. Barely slept for three day because of the pain. Would not recomend them.

Upset about a 175$ charge I have to pay for a tissue sample they took on top of paying for my services here. Wish they would have at least informed me how much this was going to cost. Love it when businesses are upfront on ALL of the the costs.

Ive had a couple of root canals in times past and they were most unpleasant and painful.This was so thorough and the best experience in having to have a root canal. The doctor used a microscrope to clearly see precisely what was needed through the whole procedure. It was not painful at all, I highly recommend!

I have been to many dental specialist and none rank any ware so low as this office. Rip off sums it up! High price practices that are not all covered by insurance. Charged hundreds of dollars for a case covered by L&I, which is illegal to do. Thats called stealing! Recommend you find a better Endodontic doctor office.

I waited 2 mos to just get a tooth with a temp.crown ck.d for the possible need of a R.C. and I get in there and they refuse to ck it😣 Claim I made the apt. to ck.the ones done last year. No. I was quite clear I needed both done. My dr wont install the crown until a O.D. ck.s it.The dentist did do a good job on my 2 R.C.s tho..i5 cost,2 thou! In MX. u can get a r.c. a bone graft and a implant for 500 bucks!
