If anyone is looking for a facility to place a loved one, my family and I highly recommend The Haven. The care given to our mother was wonderful. She was in the dementia unit. The staff was very caring and concerned about not only my moms well being but ours as well. The food was delicious, the place was clean and it never had an odor. When we called they always gave us a run down of her day and her night. All the staff was kind and very positive. We want to give a special shout out to Amy at the front door, Rick the maintenance man and moms special nurse Heather. We thank you all.

Very clean community with a great team of staff. The location is very close to downtown but tucked away on a hill with beautiful scenery.

The staff at the Haven have been fully dedicated and devoted to the care of the residents during the time of this evil virus. They are to be commended for their work and efforts. My mother moved there 2+ years ago and the quality of her care was significantly improved by the staff. Environment is clean, staff are friendly, care is EXCELLENT!

Beware! Up until the past couple of weeks my family was satisfied with the care my mother received at the Haven. Recently we were informed that Covid 19 had been found at the Haven. This week my mother developed a fever, and the staff at the Haven sent her to Allegheny General. She has tested positive for the virus but has remained a symptomatic for several days. The hospital is ready to discharge her but the Haven has refused to allow her back. They have stated that they are not equipped to handle residents with Covid despite the fact that she got it while in their care. She had a private room at the facility and quarantined there in June when she was first admitted We are now scrambling to find a safe place for mom. The situation is intolerable. They have had six months to formulate a working plan for this eventuality and gave us absolutely no indication that this was a possibility. They have absolutely handled this with a distinct lack of professionalism and compassion. We are horrified.

I have only positive things to say about The Haven. The staff is wonderful. Always available if I have any questions or concerns. They are so nice to my mom and if there is ever any concerns they will contact me. You can tell that they truly care about the residents. Also, the rooms are a nice size. My mom is a more private person so if she doesnt feel like socializing shell just keep her door closed. But I know that someone will always check on her throughout the day. Usually to make her smile or give her a laugh for the day. Anytime I hear of someone starting to consider a place for a relative, I always tell them to check The Haven.

My mom receives excellent care at The Haven. The entire staff supports and cares for her with patience and understanding. They know her very well and do everything they can to keep her centered and content. We feel very blessed to have placed Mom in such a warm, professional, and caring place. Thanks to all of you!

First class facility. Employees, both staff and management are excellent. Accommodations are very clean. Food is nutritious.

I am a very happy employee of The Haven at North Hills. The staff and residents are the reason I have come to work everyday for the past 20 years. I am in full support of this warm and homelike environment. This truly is a community not a facility! I have had many of my own loved ones live here because of the trust I have in the loving staff!

I work as the Maintenance Director at the Haven and I could not ask for a better job, I worked at several care homes and nothing compares to The Haven when it comes to the staff and managements professionalism and making sure the residence are number one.The staff goes above and beyond for the residence and their care and the management helps with anything that needs any attention to provide help in any why possible, also providing quality leadership, The kitchen provides excellent home cooked meals, everyone is very friendly, kind and family oriented.Rick Carr

One of the better facilities you will find at that level of care and price.The majority of the staff is capable and conscientious. They do an above average job at meeting the staffing challenges that all these kinds of places face.Food it above average and the facility itself is pretty nice. with places to walk, sit, play, o There is a limited-access memory care unit that fills most needs in that area. Generally clean, periodic cleaning (like behind furniture) is one area that could use a bit of improvement.If youre looking for a Personal Care Home in the North Hills, you owe it to yourself to give this place a serious look.
