My daughter got work done and they did amazing and made sure we as parents were comfortable and walked through the whole procedure before they sedated her and took very good care of her. They have lots of patience for smaller children which i love! Not all dentists offices do! Great staff,Dr.Dan is the best,highly recommended for your little ones!🙌🏼

As someone who has bad experiences with dentists as a child, I wanted to make sure my children have a better experience. I chose to bring them to Desert Valley Pediatric Dentistry and, long story short, I was really impressed! They were very kind to myself and my children, explained every step of the process, and took great care of their teeth. What really made a difference was they way they didn’t judge me or speak to me in a condescending manner when they noticed my 6-year-old had a buildup of plaque. I will definitely be bringing all four of my children here for their dental needs 👍🏽 Edit: I had written this before I met the dentist and let me tell you…. Dr. Dan is one the most amazing human beings I’ve ever met in my life!!!! He took so much time to explain my son’s dental situation in the kindest and most knowledgeable manner! He explained how the “sugar bugs” affect teeth in a detrimental way and offered healthy habits and behaviors to correct and even prevent issues like cavities 🦷 I would HIGHLY recommend this office to any parent to bring their precious children in for dental work 💕

This place was amazing. Got my son in right away because he had a bad fall and broke some teeth. Elizabeth the dental assistant was amazing she delt with my sorry a attitude and still worked her but off for my kid. She gave me a referral when I called they said they couldnt see my son tell November. I went back in and told Elizabeth about it she called her self and got my son in the next day. She is truly amazing and amazing at what she does she went out her way for me and didnt have to thank you miss lady you made my day so much better. The dentist was very soothing and amazing as well.

I brought my son Connor in for his first true dentist appointment and it was the most pleasant Dr visit I’ve ever encountered. From the receptionist’s friendly and professional demeanor, to Samantha the dental assistant’s wonderful handling of my son and explained everything she was doing. To the grand finale Dr. Andrea making Connor like putty in her hands with care and checking all his teeth and thoroughly explaining his X-rays and our next options. I highly recommend Desert Valley pediatric dentistry to everyone!

Miss Jackie is a tech that took over after miss Jessica left my oldest doesn’t deal with change well. Miss Jackie has been amazing with both of my boys and always reassured them and makes them feel comfortable and welcomed. The office is always clean and the remaining of the staff is nice as well.

They used to be a great dentistry but not any more. The forced my daughter to get a princess toothbrush when she does not like princesses and likes super hero’s. She doesn’t always identify as a girl and we don’t put a label on it and let her go with her own flow but I thought that was pretty bad. Not only that they send you reminder letters that you receive a movie card with a cleaning but they don’t do that either. The back staffs ok and the dentists are usually always nice but the front desk will cause them to lose a lot of customers. They always rush to book appointments, don’t listen to concerns and make comments like “oh well not our fault” when they don’t allow two parents to go back with FOUR kids. 2 of those kids are special needs( autistic and Deaf) and one is a toddler. Both parents were allowed to sit in the waiting room with other parties and only my family was in the back area but would not allow me. It’s silly since they didn’t even check the adult temperatures at all. We have been patients there for years... since we moved to Phoenix but we will NOT go back.

My sons like coming to this location. the staff here is really friendly and super super helpful.they are flexible with your schedule plus theyre open on Saturdays.I am happy with bringing my boys here.

Really great dentistry! Most dentistry’s should definitely provide the level of care and comfort they continue to provide. They are very welcoming and friendly. Definitely glad I chose to bring my daughter here.

Dr. Wilson and his staff always makes my daughter and I feel comfortable. From the moment we walk in the door we always feel welcomed. Every question or concerns I have I always get help from the staff. Since the pandemic they take extra steps with the hand sanitizer and temperature checks. My daughter had to be sedated and have 6 teeth capped so needless to say my husband and I were nervous wrecks. The staff and 2 anesthesiologists were amazing and helped us feel so at ease. They were so compassionate when providing care to our daughter and updated us numerous times throughout her relatively short procedure. Also the dental work that was done was exceptional, my daughters teeth look beautiful!

So my daughter needed and extraction and spacers it in. The procedure was done on the 8th and the next morning the spacers were already gone only found one of them and she might have swallowed the other. We called that same time and they told us she could only be seen on the 19th cause that’s when the dentist would be there. Come to today they didn’t fix anything and didn’t tell me to bring the other spacer or that I would have to pay for another one. They didn’t know how much it would cost or why both of them came out in the matter or less than 18 hours. Saying it was my daughters fault. The doctor did not so a satisfactory job because of the quality of the work . Now I have to wait to see someone else or her teeth will grow in messed up which the spacing was fine before. They offered no solution but me paying and it’s our fault so no I would not recommend.

This was the first time I took my children to this dental office. Customer service and professionalism are nonexistent from my experience. I left questioning the skills of the dental assistants and feeling my expectations of the visit were not meet, and the services rendered were lacking. I will not be returning to this dental office.

Love this place they are very kind, clean, caring and love the service they provide unlike the previous dentistry I was taking my kids seem as they only care about money and charging the insurance for terrible service and my son always had tooth aches after getting a crown placed on at Az pediatric dentistry so glad I found Desert Valley Pediatric dentistry

Very nice establishment! Definitely dont judge this book by its cover...the outside does not do the inside justice! The people are so kind and Dan is so sweet! So happy i chose this dentist for my daughter. He understood that if my daughter ends up needing any work it would have to be done in a hospital setting because of her heart condition and that she may need an antibiotic before cleanings. Very helpful!

My youngest is 5 and we have been coming here since she was 1. The staff is ALWAYS so kind and welcoming. They even remember her nickname. The providers are attentive and informative. I moved further away and there is an office closer to me. I still drive here. Good service is worth it! Plus, Saturday appointments... can’t go wrong choosing them!

My two boys have bern patients at Desert Valley Pediatric Dentistry for a little more than 4 years in the beginning I expressed that I was upset about his first dental work were a tooth was extracted and a spacer was placed on another tooth in his mouth. My son was partially sedated with sleepy juice but I dont think that helped at all. It was very clear my son was in lots of pain when extracting his tooth but the male dentist continued to extract my sons tooth and wasnt sensitive to the pain he was feeling nor did he try to numb him up more. I wasnt happy and had explained to them my son had a bad dental experience. I decided to give them another shot and truly I love the front office staff who help schedule my sons appointments around my busy dialysis schedule. I also love dental assistances and dentist in this office who help keep my sons teeth healthy for these past 4 years. Thank you for everything!

I have been taking my children here for over two years and this last year I have had more negative experiences than I’d like.With covid, they stopped the Harkins passes for the kids which they still advertise about with a sign in front of the door. Disappointing to see.The front staff has always been kind, but the orthodontist was rude upon the first meeting with him.Also quite frustrating that I specifically asked for a 9am appt to fit my schedule and it wasn’t accurately scheduled. Upon finding out, they said it would “take awhile” for her to be seen and her sibling (6 yrs) couldn’t be with me but I couldn’t leave my other daughter alone. So as a single mom of 4 with all of them in virtual learning it’s very inconvenient. Trying to stay a responsible parent and not leave my children unattended in the car or home just for an appointment. I understand the covid precautions, but I got an appointment at Risas Dental, same HOUR, same DAY && I could bring my whole family to wait in the lobby NO PROBLEMClear your schedule for appointments here. CLEAR YOUR DAYSo, if you’re a single mom with one child... this place is perfect for you.

Awesome! My son had an infection that needed immediate attention and they were able to get him in within an hour of my phone call. Staff was professional, friendly and even in these scary times made us feel very comfortable. They were able to able to treat the infection, perform a cleaning, take additional x-rays to look for any other problems and schedule another appointment in 35 minutes. I would highly recommend them to any parent! Thank you!

They are always super friendly and super respectful of my kids. They treat the kids like people and talk them through procedures, explain what’s going to happen and let them see how different things work before using it on them. We have been going there for like two years now and I will only take my kids to them. I also love that they get gift cards for a movie ticket everytime they get their teeth cleaned. Great group of people!

My star rating is not based on my childrens experience at this dental place, but over the fact that they are in a rush to book your next appointment. The last time I was there, the lady looking to book the next appointment was asking me about one date, to which I replied in the negative, since I knew it wouldnt work with my work schedule, then she asked me about another to which I replied the same, and then she asked about a third, to which I replied the same, and that I will have to see when it will be possible and let them know. Now mind you, this lady was busy asking me this while I was attempting to control my four young children.And no, I did not call them during the next six months since I know from past experience that I could book at a convenient date at the last minute.Well, I checked my messages on one Saturday evening, only to find out that they called twice that day, the first time in the early morning before 9am when some sleep until late, telling me about my upcoming appointment that coming Monday, which was the third suggested date which I DID NOT APPROVE OF, aside from bugging me on a Saturday instead of a normal weekday, and so, the first thing on Monday, I called them giving them a piece of my mind, and letting them know that they will never have my business again after having the nerve to set up an appointment without my prior permission.

They’re nice. But they took my daughter back and had her sit 45-60 mins waiting for them to give her sedation before crowns. Then had to wait another 30-45 mins for that to take affect before starting the procedure. Only us and one other set of people. Shouldn’t have taken so long for them to assess what needed to be done

Very money hungry place! This place messed up my child’s mouth and then tried to charge me to fix...WHAT THEY messed up! They literally ruined my child’s mouth so bad the dentist after was in shocked!

Took my 4 year old for his first time to this office and I was pleased at how thorough, kind, and attentive everyone was. My son was a little reluctant and nervous initially, but the staff was so patient and friendly, which made his first experience there very positive. Eric, broke down our visit in such detail, he explained the expectations at the beginning of our visit, this really meant a lot to me, because I was nervous too. Overall, had a positive experience and I am excited that my son has a dentist that we both enjoy. Also, they’re open on Saturday’s, which is very helpful for my family because we have a very busy schedule during the week.

I love taking my kids to this dentist, they are flexible with your schedule even open on Saturdays. The staff is very professional and courteous on top of that they are fast never have to wait more than 10 mins to be seen. My kids love going here whenever they have needed any treatments done they are gentle with them at other dentist they forget they are just kids and are to rough with them.i have nothing but good experiences here definitely recommend them!!!

If I could leave no stars, I would.The office manager, Jessica, is extremely rude. I will NEVER go back to this office because of her. I went in for a one hour appointment to discuss my child’s procedure and felt no reassurance or even comfort leaving my child in this office’s care. We were filling out the entire packet of PERSONAL paperwork at the front desk where anyone could hear us. I’ve never felt shame for nursing until I came here. I will not recommend due to the unprofessionalism of their staff. And when I called to cancel? I have no information and she already assumed it was me with the worst attitude, I can’t believe they let someone like her be a manager! -20/10 will NOT recommend.Dan Ponce had me in tears leaving this office after diagnosing my child’s teeth, with NO remorse, worst dentist. Jessica proceeded that even though I don’t like him I should still let him work on my daughter because “his work is good” - ABSOLUTELY NOT.

Wow it was amazing. Was told at another dentistry my son absolutely needed to get his four front teeth pulled but not here. They were able to fix them and give my son an amazing white smile! I really appreciate it and I was able to watch the whole thing! No complete sedation was needed as told at the other dentist.

They are very courteous and answer any question you might have for them. I also appreciate all of the extra steps they are taking to keep us safe during covid-19. I hope they continue with it.

Dr. Dan is awesome. I have been taking my childrens to this office since it was opened at the 27th ave location. Dr. Dan takes time to listen and understand what is going on with your child. He discuss all procedures with parents and give parents time to think and make the best decisions for their children.The assistant Jessica is amazing, my children loves her. She serves everyone with smile on her face. She takes time when cleaning the childrens teeth. My children never had frustration coming back from the dental office. If your child had bad dental experience somewhere else, I advise you go to Desert valley pediatric. They know how to work with children.

They are always super gentle with my son and make him feel comfortable by talking to him and explaining each thing before they do it. Jessica is amazing! My daughter hadnt been to the dentist in a few years. This dentists office made us feel welcome and didnt criticize us for not visiting a dentist more regularly. They took her x-rays and cleaned her teeth; letting us know how her teeth were progressing since shes losing all of her baby teeth. And scheduled all the future appts that were needed without any problems. We felt well cared for and comfortable in the atmosphere they shared.We will continue to go to see this dentist.

The place is clean, the staff is so nice, they got us in and out in a timely manner and the dentist was pleasant. I highly recommend this pediatric dentistry. My kid actually loved it and I feel confident to continue doing business there, (my child has a lot of cavities). They made us feel welcome and cared for.

My child and I had the worst experience with this office and in particular Dentist Daniel prince and his office girl named Jacqueline . I would say horrific would be a good describing word . After experiencing him give my daughter oral sedation when it wasn’t needed trying to crown two of my daughters teeth that simply needed Fillings Mind you my daughter is six years old and only has baby teeth. Thank god we got a second and third Opinion regarding the treatment plan that Dennis Daniel prince had put together for my daughter. After being educated that there was no need for the oral sedation that she could merely use laughing gas to fill the Fillings instead of giving her crowns I knew it was all about how much money he could rack up toward our insurance . I highly recommend never going to this office or putting your child in danger of this man. He could’ve very well killed my daughter playing around giving her sedation that she didn’t need and not having the proper euipment in case she had aspirated.

The staff is amazing they also do a great job with braces the only reason why I didnt give it 5 stars is because of the wait there been plenty of times were we go in to our scheduled appointment and dont leave after two hours just for a regular adjustment .

I always enjoy coming to this dentist even now that I have moved further away the ladies up in the front are always super sweet, they treat my boys so nicely , & can always work around my work schedule when making appointments. The dentist who has done work on my boys as well has always been super polite and makes my boys feel comfortable I really enjoy the staff here !👍🏻😊

Had an excellent experience with staff and Dr. Umar. Staff was very friendly, competent, professional, and bilingual. It was very convenient they were able to see my three kiddos back to back the same day. Loved the fact that they had a kids area full of toys, books, and a television to keep my kiddos occupied. Wait time was short, thats always a plus in my book! One of my kids was terrified of the dentist and was crying uncontrollably. Loved how staff helped me calm her down by teaching her about the instruments and making the experience a fun one! Kids were all smiles at the end of the appointment. Definately coming back!

Normally I loved this place but not this time . My daughter had a tooth extracted and usually she is out and doesn’t feel a thing ,but this time the dentist just continued to take the tooth out even though she said she was feeling pain and quite frankly my daughter never wants to come back again now and neither do I . It felt so awkward and off and I’ve never been somewhere where the dentist doesn’t stop if you’re feeling pain and make sure you’re ok . Sorry to say but we will never be back I won’t put her through that again :(

My babies have been going here since they have been able to go to the dentist and I have no complaints!! We love our dentists office all the staff are friendly and loving!!

They are very friendly and understandable & the best part is that you can sit in back with your kids while they get their teeth work on so you don’t have to be worried about anything!

We simply walked in one evening to inquire there were very helpful and set up an apointment. Unfortunatly my son got sick 2days before appt. Staff was understanding and had no issue rescheduling. (Thanks) my son whom is 3 was his first time but because of great people and set up he did wonderful. He cant wait for his next visit.

The assistants and the dentist were amazing!! So patient with my 3 year old, and explained how to care for my 1.5 year olds dental issue. I’m surprised and so so satisfied with the whole experience there. The staff is amazing...I wish more healthcare providers were like this.

Absolutely recommend! We got to our appointment at 10:00am we were called back at 10:05! They seated the kids (2) and started right away with my son taking his x-ray then called my daughter over directly after. While my daughter got her X-RAYS the dentist was examing my sons mouth, then as soon as my daughter came back she was right there examing my daughters mouth and the tech that did the x-rays went right to work on my sons cleaning and started my daughter right after. We were there literally an hour for two cleaning and two sealings for my daughter. Everyone was super friendly and professional! Im so happy I choose this place! My children will definitely continue receiving their dental care here!

I had gone to three different pediatric dental offices before finding this one, and this by far has been the best. My kids have seen Doctors Dan, Andrea and Umar and all were amazing! Dr. Umar is like a gentle giant. The office staff has also always been very friendly and done what they could to work with my schedule. Clean office and conveniently located right off the freeway.

Dr. Kamel and staff where great with my son. My son was really scared to be at the dentist. But everyone tried to make my son feel much comfortable at his visit, after all the crying , he left with a big smile walking out the door. I will recommend Dr. Kamel and her staff, they are really great with kids. :-D

We have been patients with Desert Valley Pediatrics for 5 years now & have been seen at 4 different locations. This one is by far the worst... the staff are not at all friendly. They make condescending comments dipped in friendliness like that will make it okay.We had a full day of appointments today & the doctor before this one ran late. I called DVPD, explained the situation & asked to reschedule because we’d still be another 25 minutes getting there. The woman I spoke to said not to worry & to still come in. Once we got there it was nothing but attitude. Every single person we interacted with made a remark about our being late and told us that next time we need to be 5 minutes early or call and let them know. EVERY. SINGLE. PERSON. And every time, when I tried to explain that I did call but was told to still come they cut me off, dismissed what I was saying & restated that I needed to be on time. They acted like we were an utter inconvenience & had asked for some kind of special treatment or privilege. I had the mind to walk out 3 different times because it was soo awkward.The moment we walked out of the office both my daughters said they didn’t want to go back because they didn’t feel comfortable. I agree with their sentiments & we will either drive the extra 10-15 minutes to go to one of the other locations or bite the bullet find a new provider all together. Regardless we won’t be back here, EVER.

Jessica is the best dental assistant and receptionist in the office the doctors are amazing the office is extremely clean and they always do the best to treat your children! 10/10 would recommend!
