The counseling session was very informative and my wife and I came away feeling stress free in the mortgage approval process. No matter your income level, credit score or price point, NACA is definitely the way to go. They focus on readiness and not numbers. If you are in the my rent may as well be a mortgage group, definitely check them out. No PMI, no down payment. Even if you qualify for traditional loans and are ready with a down payment, NACA has the lowest interest rates. 100% recommend. To everyone.

A friend of mines introduces me to NACA about five years ago, but I did not think that I was ready to start my homeowner ship process but I’m happy that I finally made up my mind and took that leap of faith. I joined NACA at the beginning of this year and I just had my intake session. My counselor Ms. Nixon is amazing, very attentive and patient. My experience with Ms. Nixon thus far is very relaxing and she makes me look forward to completing this process. Our experience with NACA as we speak is still in the process. It has been a long journey for us but honestly if you dont have the thousands of dollars that other lenders ask you to have NACA is the program for you. Also your credit score does not impact your eligibility which thank goodness that was not our biggest concern. But if it is yours then also this is the program for you. You do have to be on top of your counselor. You know how they say in order to communicate it is a two way street? Well NACA is just that. Would i recommend them? Yes, absolutely! For me and my family is what has worked for us thus far! Is it a 1,2,3 step, go? No it is not, it takes patience, lots of paperwork, and COMMUNICATION!

While the process can take a lot of patience, it really does work! My parents purchased their home through the NACA program and now I am going through the process myself for my own home.NACA support isnt always the most helpful so the best way to go through this is by utilizing your local NACA office. Before reaching Mr. Washington I went through 4 different counselors. I had 5 appointments where I had to take off work to attend. One of those appointments my counselor never showed up as it turned out he left NACA.During one of my counselor appointments the whole meeting lasted 5 minutes. With the counselor not even checking my file before drawing conclusions that were not pertinent to the 20 different documents I had uploaded (he is also no longer with NACA).So it does appear like NACA has issues with some of their staffing. Just know that it requires patience and for you to keep pushing them to get your file reviewed. This program may not be for everyone for those reasons but the no closing costs and low interest rates are hard to beat.Once you get a good counselor (Langston Washington is great!) everything starts to progress much more smoothly and quickly.Just make sure you follow all the steps and have everything in order to make it easier on everyone.Both Mr. Washington and Ms. White have always been extremely helpful and responsive. They make the Philadelphia office shine and I am very thankful for having them at my local NACA office and on our side.

Patience is the key when comes to the NACA program, but the payoff is well worth the time investment. The representatives at NACA have your best interest at heart because as a 1st time home buyer they was in the same shoes we were in at one point in time. For example I had a session that was suppose to be 2hrs but it lasted for 3 1/2 hours because she wanted to give the attention she felt my particular file deserved to be fine tune. I really appreciated that as well as getting all and I do mean all my questions answered.

I have been on my NACA journey for quite some time for numerous reasons. Owning a home is something you must truly understand and be prepared for and NACA’s process ensures just that. I’m with my 3rd counselor and each time I am paired with someone I learn something to apply to my overall preparedness. If you decide to give the program a try you must be diligent, your own advocate, organized, invested in your own outcome, and yes patient.

My husband and I are currently going through the process which is over a year now. We’ve had a change in our counselor because the other one quit causing our last appointment to be canceled and rescheduled which was very frustrating. With the NACA housing program, we have to have lots of patience because at the end of the process we know we’re going to be homeowners. We’re excited and just hoping for the best of having our dream come true. Keep pushing and stay positive.

I am currently going through the NACA process for home ownership and so far the journey has been exciting and stress free. NACA gives you the tool in order to succeed. This organization has a great incentive but is very disorganized, unprofessional, and ill-equipped to manage the high demand of participants. It has been one year in making an effort to complete working with NACA. It has been a disappointing experience with cancelled appointments, misinformation, abrasive staff, and unresponsive administrative support. I found two other programs that offer housing counseling, etc. and have had more progress in three months than a year with NACA. Save your money and ENERGY and out your expectations in another her program .

My wife and I have been working with NACA to begin our journey into homeownership and we have enjoyed the process so far. It is a lot of work on your end to ensure that you complete all tasks and steps according to their easy to follow plan but it will be worth it once we’re spending our life together in our new home. NACA is definitely a product that many people could benefit from. The interest rate, no down payment, and lack of PMI really is a huge help. Especially nowadays when so many people are competing with investors and developers. So just on their product alone, its hard to deny that NACA can be a great asset to homebuyers. But you do need a ton of patience to go through this program. It can take a lot of time, meetings can be canceled with no notice whatsoever, communication can be an issue, and sometimes the chosen software is unreliable. But this is a non-profit organization and they are probably very overwhelmed.

Good program, very informative and helpful with the home ownership process. It also helps you to be budget minded and pay more attention to how you are managing your finances. If the goal is home ownership then NACA is one of the best options out there.

The NACA program has been a really great learning experience so far. There are some cool tools and processes that help you take a hard look at your finances. You have to create an actual budget which a lot of people havent done before. There is a ton of information on the website and every person we spoke to was helpful and had a great attitude. The only issue is the length of time between meetings, so its important to be fully prepared at each session to keep moving forward.

My family began our NACA process in November 2020. We are still in the process of getting approved. So far everyone has been polite and helpful. I would recommend this program due to the low interest rate and the ability to buy down the interest rate. The program is structured in a way that forces you to prove that you can afford the mortgage payment prior to mortgage approval. The program can take awhile to complete so I would suggest starting as soon as you can. One of the first steps is to attend a Buyers Workshop. They will explain the program and give you access to a handbook that lays everything out. There is no cost for the workshop so I would recommend signing up for one while you are researching the program.

Truly is the best mortgage in America. The process can be long but you will be ready for homeownership. They approve you based on affordability hence why they have the lowest rate of foreclosure. Just stay the course, and i promise it will all work out.

So I just had my first meeting with My NACA counselor Deandra, and I have to say Im super excited about the process, we talked for 2 hours and went over all of my paperwork and she gave me a small To do list to get my loan approved, I hope the rest of the process goes as smoothly as today did! NACA: Neighborhood Assistance Corporation of America. Is a great program for buying a home. When we first learned about NACA and attended the Workshop, we knew we had found the best option out there for our family. We are a young starting family of 3 and have not purchased a home before, and becoming homeowners has been the chasing dream. NACA works with you and your financial situation. It does require putting in some work, extra organization, and dedication to get through the process, but as with any homebuying process this should not come as a surprise. Our NACA counselor has been very supportive, accessible to reach, and very professional, and we couldn’t be more excited to get through this process toward homeownership.

The Philly office is the closest to where we live although we live in the middle of New Jersey. I was first introduced to NACA through the Achieve the Dream workshop last year. Ive been getting a lot of knowledge every time I go to one of the events. A lot of the people that work for NACA also give information workshops that they advertise on FB. This is a good time to ask all the questions you need to know before officially meeting with your counselor. These people are the real deal and tell you all the info you need to know. The only problem I have is there are a scarce amount of counselors that work for NACA. They need more counselors to accommodate the large amount of clients they have.

Naca is a great program, for people that dont have great credit or dont have enough money for the down payment.

Joined Naca four months ago and have been doing a ton of research on how to be successful within the process. I just had my first intake meeting, my counselor got on the zoom meeting and told us that the Naca system was done so we couldn’t over anything. He then emailed me later that night and schedule a zoom meeting once their system was back working and went over everything with my fiance and me. It was 7:30 pm, I couldn’t thank him and appreciate him for doing that for us because we waited so long just to get to the intake appointment with him. We are happy and excited to go through the home buying process with Naca. We have even started telling a lot of our friends and family about the program. Our dream house is in the near future.

Naca has been a pleasure to work with so far. They answered every question I had and were knowledgeable and helpful. I am going to recommend them to anyone I know looking for a home.

I must say my first impression of NACA was WOW, this is too good to be true, and I will not lie, it took a lot of time and patience, to the part I started to give up, an since it was covid19 all the offices was closed. Then I received an email with a schedule appointment from a Ms. Karen Johnson ( out of the NC office ) who was so encouraging, and told me I was closer then I thought of owning a house and scheduled a follow up appointment with a new local counselor Mr. Langston Washington who was so passion and confidence, he will work with me and close this deal. We just had out followed up meeting and everything is looking real good... I will keep you posted.

I started the NACA process in January with the home buyer workshop. I participated in the achieve the dream event in March I was told what to do before my first meeting with my counselor in June. There were a few things the person from the ATD event didn’t let me know but my counselor was great and very detailed and scheduled my next appointment for less than 2 weeks later. Today is the day where I will be submitting my forms to the underwriter and hopefully can start looking for our home. My advice is have your documents ready have your money ready don’t wait until your appointment to start do it now. I find the people I see who take longer are the ones who have more things to do or don’t have any savings. Have something. Do the math with what you can afford in the workbook and that will give you a ball park of what you will need. It is worth it in the long run.

Im new to the process but it has been good thus far. The intial video was a little long but consider the time an investment for the future you desire. My appointments were quite some time out as well (6mos then 3mos additional) but Im determined to have everything thats required when that date arrives, whenever and however it arrives.

Very stressful process. The initial workshop did not provide in detail what was required, however when I spoke with my counselor Robert Martin he did go in to detail of what was needed and how it was to be done. I am still in the process of being approved, hopefully it becomes less stressful but i`m sure it will be worth the headaches. I found this was the best route to take in the homebuying process.

My husband and I are working with Rachel Simpson as our NACA representative and we have nothing but great things to say about her. She is very attentive and positive throughout the daunting process of becoming qualified to buy a home. Thanks Rachel!!

This process has been incredibly long. I will admit that when I started the process in 2018, my desire for home ownership and I wasnt as progressive. However after I decided that this is what I wanted it was a six month process. Three stars because I wanted more communication than I received. It is hard to get them on the phone and that wait time really feels like uncertainty.

So far, my experience with NACA has been pretty smooth. Ive enjoyed working with my counselor and look forward to next steps. The reason why this is a 4-star review is because their document upload system isnt very user-friendly.

I first heard about Naca in 2012 and attended a workshop in January 2013. Nacas approach to homeownership is great, brilliant even. Budget counseling, on-time bill paying which leads to credit improvement without making credit scores the sole criteria for mortgage approval. On-going support even after purchase. Zero closing costs, No Down Payment and below market interest rates...are the 🍒 on top. Beware if you think youre just going to walk in the door and be handed a loan without proof that you have your financial house in order, not so. However, if you get Naca Qualified you can stand up to the scrutiny of any bank. The value of Naca is not just the awesome terms but the FREE financial education and support given to the communities that really need it. I give 3.5 stars because its not a smooth process by any stretch of the word. They need more quality counselors and real estate agents in all of the locations. Everyone should get the benefit of a great counselor no matter the location. Naca can achieve so much more if there was consistency and standards in each and every office in every state. Geez, every one cant move to the south.

Their attention and care are is always above beyond. So grateful for the great work that they do.

I just started my NACA process in philly, so far I have a great MC who Thur everything step by step explains all the paperwork . Hopefully soon I can be a NACA homeowner too. I recommend it

From what I heard its a great program. I originally started Feb 2020 the process has been slow trying to speak with someone directly and schedule an appoint. Once you speak with someone and have everything you need to process is much faster.

NACA has personable good counselors who are willing to help.

I have been working with NACA for about 1 year now, so far I can say they are really good, the counselings that Im assign to is really nicely just cant wait to be done with all the paper work and get my house. I will definitely recommend NACA to people.

I stumbled across the NACA program in a budget Facebook group I am in and I am so glad I did! NACA is such a valuable program! You are provided with a ton of great information so that not only can you purchase a home but so that you can KEEP your home. FYI.. There is a very high turn over rate when it comes to counselors so this will delay your progress if your counselor decides to leave NACA. When there was a glitch in the system and my qualification was removed I had no one to reach out to since my counselor was no longer with NACA. I was so happy to get in touch with the one and only Latisha Geter! When I tell you she will make sure your file gets back on track and fast. She is truly heaven sent! She now offers Zoom meetings on her OWN TIME to help all of us out. Whether you are just starting or well on your way she is a saving grace!Anyone out there looking to purchase a home knows how hard this can be but I am willing to stick it out with NACA because of their great benefits such as:VERY LOW interest rate,the ability to buy down your interest rate,no down payment,no closing cost,no PMI,and credit history is not a major factor!Just make sure to read the handbook and have all of your documents uploaded and on hand in case they are needed again and you should have a great intake session!

Staff was great! Treated me like family. Very patient, knowledgeable and helped me achieve my goal of homeownership. Taught me money management skills. It was definitely a process for me not knowing what to expect but everything eventually worked out in my favor and I am truly thankful. I would definitely recommend this company, you just have to do what they ask, be patient and everything will work out in your favor. No matter where you start, they will definitely make sure that you make it that finish line. Thank you Naca for everything.
