I love Greensgrow! The staff are always incredibly friendly and helpful, and you can get pretty much anything you need for your home garden here. I bought four different pepper plants for my rooftop garden, and a large 50lb bag of soil during my last visit, all for under $30. The pepper plants are shown in the attached photo along with other plants on my roof.

This is an educational non-profit, so Im always happy to support. They have a good selection of plants, although sometimes they look a little rough. Mostly old standards, with a few surprises. Some basic gardening supplies. Organic Mechanics cactus soil! That makes it worth the trip. They could do better with some more natives for sale. Was surprised to not see any native fruit trees growing or for sale. People are super friendly and cool.

It was a treat to support this local business during this time of shut downs and social distancing. I ordered online and picked up from their farm where it was clear they were doing everything possible to ensure the safety of their customers and staff. My purchase was relatively small, but they made a great impression and I would gladly shop here again, especially once I could stroll around the place.

I started going to Greensgrow when we moved to Fishtown in 2009. Its such a great place- Ive done farm shares and become an avid gardener with Greensgrow as a trusted guide and supplier. Great, helpful people and fantastic selection - I have since moved out of Fishtown but still make the trek to Greensgrow for plants!

Very nice garden! They have a wide variety of plants and herbs. If they dont have what youre looking for, you can always make an order in person! The plants are all locally grown or right there in the garden. It gives the community a nice sense of tranquility with the green scenery. Definitely a good place to shop for garden plants.

Friendly staff, nice quality products. I enjoyed my visit. The staff were friendly. The flowers and vegetable plants were very nice quality. It was nice to be able to see inside the grow houses for the vegetables. Also nice features to visit with the turtle water habitat /feature and the other animals (children and adults enjoyed). Large variety and quantity of herbs. It has nice quantity of some items (vegetables, herbs, certain flowers and plants etc), as the grounds are not as large, not as large of a variety of items, however what they do have is great quality and they carry in large quantity/variety of that item (e.g. purchased and have planted already some wonderful flowers not always found at other shops and they had large selection; they had large section of different types of mint). They have small farmers market area with nice quality of items (vegetables, refrigerated meats and cheeses, local honey, etc). We picked up black garlic, (not always available at farmers markets), which was so scrumptious on garlic bread, tricolor carrots, and couple other items. Pretty good prices on some things, some things little pricier, however this is the case anywhere you shop...just compare pricing. Free street parking out front. Have been a couple of times so far and will definitely return.

The employees (volunteers?) for most part are very knowledgeable which was a lovely surprise. I bought some apple mint and is very hardy and growing like crazy. I had came with the intention to buy catnip bit they didnt have any at the time. The employee knew to go right to the mint section 1st to look (not a lot of people know offhand that catnip is part of the mint family so score right there. Also, after she realized they didnt have it she instructed another employee to keep a list if the commonly requested plants they were lacking. I was impressed by this because I saw that as a sign that they really care about what the customers want. The plants looked healthy and there is also a pig to check out if youre so inclined. I had a really great experience here and it sparked my gardening bug for the year. Highly recommended!!

If your looking for a hip garden store that also kinda functions as a community garden, this is the place for you. Their selection is pretty good, especially if youre looking for more unique varieties of plants and vegetables to grow. Their staff is pretty knowledgeable. Hours are kinda touch and go through during the week, and weekends are crazy busy in the summer (good for them) but can make for an overwhelming experience. Go early in the morning to avoid long lines.

The thing about this place is Ping, hes a duck but the kids like him. There are also chickens, turtles, and a pig named Milkshake. The prices are a little too crazy for me. Especially since you can almost the same things at store, any store. The people arent very helpful to people that arent spending a lot of money, in my experience. Oh, they have giant goldfish too in very small area. They used to have Koi but Im not sure what happened to them. Best things about this place is the animals.

We have been coming here for about 2 years now. At the advice of the really helpful staff, we got close to 800 dollars of dirt/compost from greens grow this season to refresh our potters and were happy to do it. Sorry to say the compost came with some plastics like candy wrappers inside. I should have known then not to use it. I transplanted my tomatoes into the mix of compost and potting soil (all from greens grow) and now every single one has a fungal disease that comes from, you guessed it soil. I called and just got a sorry about that This year is gonna be a wash, and whats worse is once the fungus is introduced into the soil its incredibly hard to get rid of. Thanks yall.
