I went here for the first time as I was looking for a new hairdresser near home. I couldnt say enough good things about this place--all of the stylists were so friendly and my experience an enjoyable one. Joanne cut my hair and did such an amazing job. HairCo is a great place for kids’ haircuts. You can book appointments online so it’s very convenient. I’ve never had to wait which is a big advantage over the chain hair cut places. They are always fully stocked with lollipops & they have made all of the appropriate changes to keep everyone healthy. Joanne is very nice & was super patient with my 5-year-old twins who find staying still quite challenging. The whole staff is friendly & the atmosphere is comfortable for all ages. I am really happy to have HairCo in the neighborhood.

Mary was amazing!!!!! I came in with a loose idea of what I wanted and she worked her magic. I have legit never left a haircut happy before this. I can’t wait to come back! Haircut was $20 and I tipped $10 because she was THAT good. She was super friendly and knowledgeable.

Ive been going to this shop for years with my grandmother, and weve gotten great hair cuts every time. Ive had my hair cut, bleached,colored, and styled multiple times and even used a few different hair care products sold at the shop. Frank,christie,and everyone working there are super welcoming and kind. Great place for a family haircut and so much more!

I am just up here visiting and Hair Co. was by chance right at my corner and I’m glad it was.I have many cowlicks and it’s hard to find someone who can handle it.Joanna had no problem.As well as being friendly and courteous she was very professional.You just know when someone knows their job really well.Her experience shined on my head.She did a great job!I would highly recommend Hair Co.Not only was Joanna great but everyone there seemed to be quality people.

But hey, at least it grows back, right ?Full review:The staff was very friendly and personable. The salon has a nice atmosphere and a cozy feel to it. I enjoyed my visit!What I didn’t enjoy, however, was the haircut I walked out with. I asked for a 0/1-fade and to not touch the top. My stomach dropped when she started using the shears to “just trim the ends a bit” and I started seeing clumps of hair falling onto the ground around me. I only had ~3” of length on the top already - so her taking an extra 1-1.5” off made a huge difference. If I’d wanted a buzz cut I’d have just asked for one. Of course she started in the middle, so it’s not like I could tell her to stop, either. 🙇🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️At the end, I politely declined when she tried to hand me the mirror to take a look. I knew I was going to hate it. Guess I’ll be wearing a hat for a while.

Eddie has been my barber about 20 years, back to the period when I actually had hair. My wife always knows if someone else has cut my hair, she can tell instantly. Thankfully there have been very few times over the years when Eddie was not available. It’s great that he’s back at the end of the quarantine or the reopening of HairCo Philadelphia. It’s a great shop and I enjoy seeing Frank and the ladies that work there but there but they are not my haircutters. Only Eddie!I was thrilled to get an appointment on Friday the 26th. On behalf of my father Jack, wanted to write a review for this awesome hairdresser. Ed and Frank are always pleasant and provide exceptional services.

Canceled my appointment I’d had for two weeks one hour ahead of time on the phone, with no apology, as if it was my fault, and yelled at me on the phone for asking if someone else could help. Because I’m a doctor working 24 hour shifts in the middle of a pandemic, I’m not available again for two weeks. I was also screamed at about this. Apparently was canceled because the stylist wasn’t feeling well and wanted to go home, but she was still in the salon cutting hair at the time I called and had been all day. When I finally got to speak to the manager, they also screamed at me about “what am I supposed to do about it” and then threatened to have the ill employee stay “if that’s what I really wanted.” This is literally the first review I’ve ever posted because I am so floored about how rude, disrespectful, and completely unprofessional they were, not to mention blatantly disregarding covid rules. Avoid at all costs.

Thank God that Hairco has reopened!!At my recent visit, I left as a totally satisfied and happy customer. Frank, the owner, is so good at color and style - that I lived through the ‘everything closed’ pandemic shut down - waiting for him to reopen to get my hair done. Stopped in for a quick haircut, as I was in the area and short on time. The girl who cut my hair (think her name was Merideth) was way more professional than what I was used to at the local hair cuttery. She asked a lot of questions about how I style my hair, and what products I used. In the end, she suggested some minor tweaks to the style I usually get, and proceeded to cut and style my hair precisely as she described. The cut itself was faster than what I expected it would be, but no less perfect. I will be making it a point to come back to this salon, as even as just a walk-in, I was treated with the courtesy & professionalism of a regular.
