Im so pleased with my hair. I appreciate her working with me when I was a little late. She did a great job on my hair. The shop was also nice, and beautifully decorated with a laid back kind of vibe. Definitely going back for a retwist.

Amazing experience! Felt like a home away from home. Not from Philly and the salon gave me vibes of my hood in Dorchester/Boston. My braid came out great! Haven’t been in a few months but definitely recommend.

There should be a disclaimer on the website stating that the health and safety of clients during a global pandemic is not a concern as the owner refused to wear a mask. I would not have wasted the car fair.

I have be going to this salon for about 4 years now and I’m always satisfied with their services.

My appointment was supposed to be tonight. 5:30-7:30pm (2 hours time slot) for two strand twist. I arrived at about 5:15pm. No stylist, the salon was closed and stylist didnt answer my calls or text message. I called another number I saw in the window for another business that shares their space and it was her brother. I explained to him about my appointment and that no one was here, he gave me his sisters phone number only to encounter the most unprofessional and ghetto voicemail. I didnt even leave a message. DO NOT BOOK with this salon EVER yall. The worst experience ever!!!!!!!!

I usually go to Nafeesah but she was in Jamaica, so I went to Sade. When i got home and got a good look at my permrod locs, I saw there was so much buildup left in my hair. I couldn’t call the shop since the number for the business doesn’t work. If I needed further treatment, then Sade, as the loctician, should have said so. I paid money to leave the shop with dirty hair and buildup. I won’t be back.

She opened for me when none else would, pulled me right together with a southern warmth you can only experience from the south. I love this place a recommend it to all natural heads of hair.. when. Good work is found it should be cherished!

Unfortunately I was not able to experience the superior service this salon was noted to provide. It appears that a malfunction in their on-line booking software resulted in my re-scheduled appointment being cancelled. Despite me receiving an email noting that the appointment had been changed, apparently I was supposed to know that if I did not receive an email confirmation that I had an appointment then I didnt have one. Unfortunately I learned this information upon my arrival to the salon after leaving work early. My stylist was gone for the day. Please note that I waited a month because this was the first available appointment. I was asked if I wanted to re-schedule, however I am not clear why I would be confident the same issue wouldnt happen again. As a new customer you wont get a second chance to make a first impression. I was so excited to have this salon be a part of my new journey. I had referred someone here. They will have to make their own decision about this salon.

My appointment was at 10:30 and when I got there my stylist was not even there yet. She texted me that she would be there by 11, and then my appointment was changed by THEM to 11 am. Stylist was still not there by 11 so another stylist (who was sitting on her phone while I was waiting) was asked if she could cut my hair. Then, because of my hair being “cut” I was charged $35 instead of the $25 I was told because of the length of my hair, AND for them to cut my hair WITHOUT washing it. Prices are way too high for what is done & the quality of what is done. I wouldn’t go there if I were you.

Natural hair requires patience, understanding and loving hand. I get all 3 when I get my TWA styled by Nefertiti, here at NBushe. The shop is clean, quiet, and dare I say relaxing. With the big comfy chairs, the neo-soul playing in the background, and great stylists, this salon isnt what I was expecting, but Im glad its here. My hair is cared for and styled to perfection. I get SOO many compliments about my hair each and every time I come. They do not use heat on your hair other than a trip under the dryer. My hair has grown and is healthy. The service is good, the prices are comparable and there is free on-street parking. They are only open Wednesday-Saturday, which is a bummer, but Ill take it.

The ladies of NBushe are welcoming and wonderful stylist. I love the fact that they and the shop are absolutely drama free!!!!

I dont get my locs done often so most of them are tangled up in the back wit lots of new grow not an easy task at all I appreciate the excellent service an great atmosphere..This was my first time here but its not my last definitely worth your time an money.... Thx ladies

This was the worst salon experience ive ever had in my life. The salon owner, who did my hair was arrogant regarding her knowledge about natural hair but in reality knew nothing about my hair type. I was explaining a style I wanted AND had the exact photo and she tried to replicate it without telling me she didnt really know how.As a result, not only did my hair turn out horribly, but my hair type was also insulted. Ive been natural for almost 2 years now and she told me that I had fine hair so I couldnt get the style that she suddenly figured she could NOT achieve at the end of the service. First, my hair is far from fine. I think its rare to even find a black woman with fine hair. So when I told her thats not true, my hair is thick, she proceeded to argue with me about the texture of my hair.I am very knowledgeable regarding natural hair texture and my own hair. I have been doing it since I went natural and my hair is now down my back. Simply, this service was a waste of money and I would not recommend this salon to anyone.

My stylist Neff, i love her! She treats my hair with love and patients, thats important to me. And youre not waiting for hours to get your hair done or finished. All the other stylist are great too, very pleasant. The atmosphere is wonderful and comforting, no drama.... just peace....with a little neo soul to groove..

Says that it opens at 7am on Saturday’s. Waited 45 mins after 7, no person in sight. Have called the salon number tirelessly, no answer. Not sure if they’re serious about running a business here or if this is for giggles. No other reason why you should claim to be open at 7 yet not 1 member of staff is present at 8am.

They have a photo of me on this site, it is a rod set with a flower in my hair that I did not receive at this salon and I called and asked to have it removed but did not receive any answers and nothing was done.
