My sports medicine Dr. at the Hospital for Special Surgery in NYC correctly diagnosed my lower abdomen (core) pain as a “sports hernia” and recommended Dr. Meyers at the Vincera Institute for a consult and a surgical procedure. After an MRI that was done at the Institute, Dr. Meyers met me, examined me and confirmed that I had compromised and had torn “core” muscles and connective tissue. A week later I had the surgery and had a remarkably fast recovery. 45 days out I started running again and I’m totally pain free. I highly recommend Dr Meyers and the Vincera Core Physicians as the go-to clinic for this type of corrective surgery.

I drove up three hours from the dc area. My appointment was at 10 and they said to get there early so I showed up at 930 am. I wasn’t seen until noon. And whenever I would ask the front desk staff when i would be seen they were rude and condescending, as if it’s “normal” and completely acceptable to wait that long. Let me tell you, NOWHERE is it okay to have an appointment at a time and wait over two hours. After waiting an hour or so, i finally got called up, but it was to fill out even more paperwork. They emailed me paperwork ahead of time to fill out which i did. They should have emailed me ALL of the paperwork so i didn’t have to fill it out again when i showed up. The office can’t schedule appointments efficiently and they are rude when you ask why you’ve waited 2 hours. Completely unprofessional and unorganized. Worst doctors office I’ve ever visited when it comes to customer service and scheduling. Doctor Meyers himself seems great and very knowledgeable but my first visit with their office was not a good one.

Surgery: $7000 - $12000 (not covered by any insurance)Facility Fee: $3500 (not covered by any insurance)Anesthesia: $600 (not covered by any insurance)MRI: $1375 (maybe covered by insurance). I had an MRI less than six weeks ago and they said Id likely need to have another one there. Unless you have a 7T machine there, the brand new Siemens 3T machine used for my MRI should suffice. Just another money grab.Office Visit: $600 (maybe covered by insurance)He wont even refer patients to other doctors because, no one else does what he does. Sorry, but why does that matter? That doesnt mean there arent other good doctors capable of fixing a sports hernia, especially here in NYC. This guy is just like so many pro athletes; doing it for the money, not the love. Do yourself a favor and find a doctor who will work with your insurance, and not cater to only the rich 🤮

I want to say how grateful I am for finding my way to Dr. Meyers. I’ve been struggling with an undiagnosed pelvic floor problem for 5 years. I suffered a severe exacerbation on October 12th,2019. I had to stop working as a physician. I stopped living.....stopped being a dad. NO ONE could help me.......I hadn’t been off of my couch or bed for 7 weeks. No longer feeling like a human being...... I was extremely blessed to find my way to Philadelphia because of the “crotch doc”. It was extremely difficult to get there.....After I met with him, reviewing my history and MRI findings, he explained to last five years of my life. Then after I met with Dr. Coleman.....He only confirmed my impression....”this is exactly where I need to be!”I know I’m only POD 5 (from a hip preservation arthroscopy and Dr. Meyers and procedure) but, I was outside today while my kids were playing for the first time in seems like forever. I’m looking forward to the rest of my rehab. I feel confident that I am going to recover enough to get back to being a physician, father and “myself.” I had truely given up. NEVER give up on your symptoms....just because the doctors you’ve seen can’t figure it out......Doesn’t mean that you can’t be helped! Kevin H.

My daughter had an avulsion of her gracilis muscle. After 19 different doctors evaluated her case. Dr Meyers was the only doctor that could help us. We traveled from North Carolina to meet with Dr. Meyers one week and back the next week for Surgery. They took extra measures to make sure that all tests were available to be done on our first trip and surgery was scheduled before we left. Wonderful team. Everyone was great, from the front desk, radiologist, Dr Meyers and even physical therapy. So glad we found the Vincera Institute!
