Sam is the best hair stylist I have come across in the Philadelphia/South Jersey area. I commute into the city just to see her for my hair. She is so talented and smart! Always gets the color right and leaves my hair healthy.My comment above still stands however I’m extremely disappointed in the salon staff itself. A receptionist double booked my stylist for my appointment, and instead of apologizing and taking the fall, they made me CANCEL my appointment the day before a holiday and reschedule to a different week. Mind you, my hair must be done on a specific time schedule or else it just looks bad and overgrown. Not sure why a salon would want their clients hair looking bad in public. So now my hair looks bad not just for a holiday, but the timing won’t work for my vacation coming up as well. This is the 2nd time the front desk staff has made an error that resulted in me being unhappy and my time being wasted. I took off of work for my appointment that I had to reschedule and now I will have to move my life around for the rescheduled appointment as well. When I called to talk to a manager, they claimed she was there, but no one could find her and she wasn’t answering her desk phone.

Been coming to Toppers for my nails for more than 5 years now. Mila is some kind of miracle worker! I bring her gnarly, calloused feet and she works her magic and makes them gorgeous. Love the new location too - has a bright, airy, relaxing feel to it. More recently Ive started getting my hair cut here too. Kathleen is phenomenal! I waited 8 months just to go back and see her again because I mistakenly thought she only had appointments on Sundays (not true, shes there other days too). Thanks Toppers for keeping me from looking as tired as I feel :-)

Masseuse told mid way through our couples massage there was not enough time for my added hot stones (which was scheduled in advance) and was told the front desk doesn’t know how to schedule. They credited my stone back; however i informed her that the fact this conversation was taking please during my massage was inappropriate and completely opposite of relaxing. Professionalism out the window!!!! I asked to speak with the manager who was on break (Erica) and left my phone number, filled out a comment card and the text survey the sent me. No call back. The experience to celebrate our 15th anniversary was ruined! And customer services is not even a concern!

Have be having my hair done there for awhile now. Jill who does my hair is great. She always goes out of way to make sure my hair looks great and that I am pleased.

I have been going there for past 3 years and I am extremely happy with the services that Ive received. I love Kathleen!!

I really wish that I read these reviews before booking Toppers for my wife.Two months ago we made an appointment for my wife, my sister in law, and mother in law (lives an hour away) to get facials and a massage. However, Toppers had to cancel last minute due to an esthetician being sick. We of course understood, and planned to reschedule,Given that my sister in laws husband is a doctor, it was tough to nail down a date where he was available to watch kids, but we finally settled on this weekend. Then, an hour and a half before this appointment, Toppers called to say that an esthetician was sick… again. This was very upsetting given that I had a babysitter, my brother in law planned to be off from work at the hospital, and my MIL already drove an hour into the city. I then called Toppers and asked why our appointment was canceled over others. The receptionist, Liz, responded that another group was coming in that “unapologetically refused to let me cancel their appointment, and had booked a month ago.” Therefore Toppers decided to bump our appointment, that had been bumped in the past (booked 2 months ago), for a group that was “unapologetic”.Toppers then offered to split my wife’s appointment with my mother in law’s, giving them a half hour each. Given that everyone was already in town they reluctantly accepted. My wife’s party reported back that entire time the staff was rude, and tried to cut my sister in law’s massage short by 30 minutes.I run my own business in center city, and understand how important customer satisfaction is. Of course unexpected circumstances can arise, but Toppers should have handled this situation in a more professional manner (or had an esthetician on call). I really can’t imagine how these folks are still in business. I strongly suggest that you look into other offerings from Rescue spa or Rittenhouse spa.

Last Saturday I got a manicure and a pedicure. The manicure was with gel but by Thursday they were chipping/peeling. Not worth the price.
