Been coming here since 2019 to get my finger waves and I’ve never left disappointed not once. I even got my hair dyed red here as well and was completely in love with it. They’re very fast and sufficient and I’m glad they’re located downtown and so easy to get to.♥️

I am a student here at Empire, I have been for almost the last two years. Im finally graduating next month. All the staff, instructors and the director are great here, very friendly,always willing to help you out. The prices for services are more than affordable. There are so many talented students here you can receive services from. I am anxious to go out into the world with the skills Ive obtained here at Empire. Monique and Lapetra were seriously Amazing!!!! Lapetra had my daughter and took such good care of her she wont stop brushing her own hair!!! Monique made me feel like a million dollars!!!

Came in for mani/pedi. Arrived 5:18 was asked to have a seat as they dont start until 5:30. At 5:32 receptionist asked me to sign in. While waiting, one of the students went across to 5below for supplies. This shouldve been my first sign... I filled out their chemical waiver form shortly after 6 and was finally sent to chair which wouldnt adjust, so she added more water for my feet to be submerged. It was evident they dont train/prepare students on pedicure services and she told the staff she wasnt happy with her assignment. Despite, she was courteous. No base coat, no top coat barely scrubbed off dead skin. Definitely not the best pedicure ever had, but $15, you get what you pay for. Didnt get mani, wont return to rate any other services. Had high hopes, wasnt expecting top salon service, but left super disappointed at 7:00pm.

Hi IM DIAMOND I Can to empire for assistance on getting my licence and it has been the One Best decision Ive made in my life. I was welcome and greeted by the best reception that a business can Have (Ms.Fabulous Brenety the bomb. Who then introduce me to Mr.Flanigan who was warm welcoming,kind,sweet professional and helpful walk me through my whole process. Simply Amazing. The I was giving the best teacher ever Ms.Brown who taught me Everything I needed in mins stood by me with anything I was unsure of she nailed it for me..The executive director Mr.Rob was always here to help if it came to any problems or situation he was absolutely the best.Ms.peterson was sweet kind and stayed the same from the time I met her very professional and just a great experience Thank you empire for all that you have done I will show love about empire as long as Im here I graduated Feb and now is a professional licence hair styles ❤

*Ms. Edens* 👈🏾 She is Awesome!!I wish every phone call I made to a business establishment went this way. She was very welcoming and warm hearted. I dont think she really knows just how much her kindness has made my day! My daughter will be attending this location and I am absolutely over joyed that she will be in the company of such wonderful people like Ms. Edens. She went above and beyond! Her customer service is absolutely Stellar. I could not thank her enough. Keep up the Great Work Ms. Edens, the world needs more people like you!

The student I had was wonderful and she was about to graduate. I was her first sew-in but she did my hair exactly like the picture I showed her. The reason I cant give them five stars is because the school charged me $85. It wasnt bundle hair it was simple pack hair. For that I wont return for a sew-in. I was told a different price on the phone.

Waited a hour for no service

Ive been getting hair care from this shop close to a year.I can say everyone who has treated my hair did good work.Most of them have graduated and moved on.I like their hair products.

Went for first time they are ok ! Prices are really high especially for sew in and weaves . Prices are not competitive at all considering that it’s a school and these are students (who are not being paid) .. The stylist I had was friendly and wanted to know so much about me to the point it was uncomfortable. Probably won’t come back ! I can get better quality for same price if not cheaper !

Today I came to get my hair washed and curled. The young lady was nice and friendly. She seemed ro do my hair. I was only her second client. My roots were puffy. She asked the teacher to help her 3 times but no one helped her. She couldnt figure out home to get to my roots so it looks like I have a curly bush.

I went here for the first time today and I was beyond happy with my experience!! Everyone was super friendly and the girl did an amazing job! I will definitely return.

So you mean to tell me these women, pay for school and not learn proper customer service skills or held accountable for their appearance? Honey, their setting you up for failure. Shut it down, based on these reviews.

I was there for over a half hour, finally left and came back and was there for another hour. The receptionist was very kind and polite, but I couldnt even get to see the lady who does nails. I cant waste that much time.

Please do not be fooled by past reviews. This school has definitely turned around 100%. The teachers are supportive and the students all enjoy being here. Its very simple, come to school and learn about all of your possibilities. If you are skeptical of this school please do not refer to these emails. please come in to this school yourself. Let you be the judge. Find out how the school works by taking a tour, talking to the instructors and the students. Trust me you will be pleasantly surprised.

Came in for a re twist and I sit down get my hair washed and everything . The girl begins twisting my hair and suddenly mentions a sore on the back of my head. Takes a picture and goes to the front desk, comes back and tells me she can’t finish the service. She goes on about how she’s sorry and that I won’t have to pay anything ok fair enough , so I get to the front desk and the girl with a pound of make up on her face proceeds to tell me that I’ll have to pay 9$ because for the wash . . Unbelievable. The girl had a nerve to give me her card , needless to say that went right in the trash. Waste of my time and money. I will never return here.

I can only give an opinion about the customer service but I asked about a basic gel manicure and a single process hair dye. At first they were courteous saying If you come before 11 we can do your hair but we cant do your nails. I already found that weird since thats a service they are supposed to provide but maybe they were booked, not gonna judge. But then she flat out told me I couldnt come in to get my hair done. Its understandable for their school policy to test it out just in case you get an allergic reaction but the girl on the phone just gave me no option to come in or anything to test it. Just was like yeah sorry cant come in. So Ill take my business somewhere else. Which is sad because I love these type of hair salons.

Xavier is the guy to ask for when getting a fade or clipper cut. Very professional. Be careful asking for Andrew everybody thinks he’s the best but I’m sure he clipped my one side shorter to be spiteful.

I walked in having had fallen on the sidewalk and scratched up my hand. I kindly asked if I may please use the restroom to wash my hand. The female working at the front desk who I presumed was the owner looked at me and said I cannot use the washroom unless I was a paying customer. One would expect any Philadelphia resident to help when some is hurt, in my brief time, I guess this is not a place with heart :)

The prices are reasonable to get your hair done.

Horrible. my hair is uneven with one side up to my ear and the other to my neck. the ombre is bad. dont go there. ever.

This is beauty school is unprofessional, ghetto, rude, and have bad customer service, because I was interested in getting my hair done by them. The secretary of the school gave me an attitude and hung up on me. Now, I refuse to get my hair done by them and find another location. If you reading this, its a shame that you know how to loose a customer.

Experience here is always informative and the students are having fun while learning....cosmelotgy is fun!!

I worked all day called them and they said yes we can do your hair after work as long as I get there before 6:45 I arrived at 6:00 only to get there and these chicks talking about they cant do my hair because they dont have enough students and they going out tonight so they couldnt stay to service me

My wife goes inside for a tour with the school with her mom. Literally 2 minutes in the school they tell me women are looking at them wrong up and down. Men are looking at her in a sexual manor . This is highly unacceptable .When i went inside the 2nd time my wife goes for more info about the school for her people are sucking thier teeth and being rude and loud .( remember this is only the 2nd time in the building ). I was very suprised of the unprofessionalisim in the school with the students. We decided this is not the place for her to be enrolled in. Never will i EVER step foot into empire.
