I’ve been getting haircuts and coloring with Jessica here and I would definitely recommend her work. However, their pricing policy is very confusing and for short haircuts they don’t ask about the difficulty of work in advance. The first time I scheduled a really short haircut, I told the person who was then in charge of the schedule that I want a men’s haircut, and I asked for “short on the sides and longer on the top” style. They charged me $50 instead of $35 for men’s haircuts. I thought it was alright because they gave me a 30 sec styling. Second time I asked the same (with the same wording “short on the sides and longer on the top”) but without styling, and they still charged $50 because, they said, they gave me a “pixie” and not a men’s haircut – and this directly contradicts their pricing policy on the website (screenshot attached). Moreover, I asked to remove the bleached layer, but there are still visible white parts, which makes me look 10 years older with graying hair. I talked to them about it and they promised to follow up – twice, but never did.

I recently had my hair cut and styled by Hang and I could not be happier with the result! She really listened to what I was looking for while also suggesting what she thought would work best with my hair. She kept checking in with me to make sure I was happy with the length as she went. They really make you feel pampered with a nice head massage during the shampoo and taking the time to blow out your hair at the end.My husband also gets his hair cut here and hes been very pleased. Its a great value for the quality service they provide.The Pretoria team does a great job of adhering to COVID policies - you need to sign an electronic waiver and have your temperature taken when you arrive. You wait outside until they are ready for you. They provide masks and sanitizing wipes, and make sure the place is cleaned frequently. As someone who is very nervous about COVID, they made me feel comfortable!

Would highly recommend Hang and her team! She is very talented, super sweet, and gives great tips for maintaining your hair after a haircut. She also did a fantastic job with my wedding day hair and makeup.

First time here and so disappointed. I showed pictures of how my hair used to be blonde and wanted to go back to that (my hair that day before dying it was my natural light brown color). Overall the color was some what okay, but not what I asked for. What made it worse is that she gave me random silver/grey streaks throughout which is NOT what I wanted at all. Not even close. She insists that it is because of the toner and it will wash out, but I have had blonde hair for years and never once had that problem. I left disappointed and she knew that so she called a few hours later and asked me to come back in that day to have it rewashed and redone. Any good hair stylist should know you need to wait at least 48 hours before washing colored hair and especially redying it because it will damage your hair. The color is not the only thing I was disappointed about. The cut of the hair was sloppy. One section of hair was a lot longer than the others and my hair looked so unhealthy and the blow out did not look like I just got it done at the salon, it looked like something I did at home. As soon as I got home and saw how one section was a lot longer than the other I turned around and went back. The lady apologized and made excuses for why that is, but that is something a stylist should notice before their client leaves. She fixed it and I asked her again are you sure if I wash my hair it will turn out the way I wanted, because this is not what I wanted at all and she said yes. I am gonna wait a few days to wash it, but I highly doubt it will magically change to how I wanted it because this has never happened to me before at any other salon. I had such high hopes because some of the other clients there seemed to be regulars and the reviews on here were not all bad. Maybe my stylist I had was just a fluke, because my boyfriend gets his hair done by Jessica and it actually looks good and another client who was getting her hair done by Jessica left looking amazing. Also hangs pictures on yelp look amazing too. But my stylist did a far less than amazing job. Im so disappointed. I will try one of the other stylist to do a color correction but I have already spent $230 on my hair for it to turn out like trash. Depending on how the color correction goes will dictate if I ever come back.Update: I washed it 24 hours later because I could not stand the random grey streaks, and its still there after the wash and she said it would be gone after! I knew it would still be there but a girl could hope

Very nice salon but I was very disappointed. My first time getting my colored and it was the worse experience. The owner is very nice but the stylists doesn’t know how to color hair.

Not all the frills of some other salons for a mens cut but the stylists are dependable and prices are reasonable.

Pretoria is heaven sent! I have been either doing or fixing my own hair all my life. As an experienced cosmetologist myself, I had a hard time finding the right person to take care of my needs and fully execute. (Asian hair isnt always the easiest to deal with) I wasnt surprised at all when my hair came out fabulous and my visit was memorable. I had the pleasure of having the owner, Hang, giving me my makeover. She was just absolutely gorgeous and her personality matched 100%. Hao, the concierge, was extremely welcoming and just a delight all around. Jessica, a stylist there, was also very cute & welcoming. They made everything worth my drive, time & money. Now ThaT is hard to come by these days. Did I mention the salon was super cuuute! I learned that Hang designed everything herself! No wonder! She is just producing fabulosity on all levels!Note, I had 5 inches removed, toned out my outgrown color and had a full head of processing with blonde & ashy tones. I am writing this review after Ive washed my hair twice after it was done. I do not feel the need whatsoever to go through and add or remove anything that was done. (Have to do this every time before with any other person Ive let in my hair). Needless to say, my hair has gotten its life back, yaaaaasss! I cant wait to be back for my next session. I had such a great experience, I could probably write a review after each visit. :-) Thank you Pretoria!!
