Beautiful view of the mountains by the lake. Campsites are close to the lake. We really enjoyed this spot with our kids. Definitely would go back. The campsite hosts were really nice and friendly. Great place for Tents.

This is a good lake and it was beautiful however the drought that we have been in has been really bad for the lake and the water is pretty far down. I spent a few hours here fishing and didn’t get a single bite. Probably my fault as the fisher man but still 😂 it is a good place and you won’t have to worry about a lot of people being there. There are also cows to look out for on the way up.

This was a nice little place. Its not so far out of town that it takes a very long time to get there, but its far enough that you are getting away. The campground was very well taken care of and the bathrooms were honestly the best long drop toilets I have ever used. I was absolutely shocked at how well the smell was contained. There was plenty of shade at the camp site so we never felt like we had to suffer the direct sunlight.Im deducting one star because the prices were not listed online (just says first come first serve, which it is), so there was no way to know how much the stay was going to cost until we actually arrived.$22 site fee for the weekend (I think)$10 per vehicle

Had a great time up there today, this was our first time. We spent a few hours hiking around. There is plenty of water which is surprising compared to other lakes this year. There were quite a few people, you have to drive for a few miles on a one way road. We will definitely be going back.

This campground had a lot of traffic late at night since we were by the lake and people would go night fishing but I have never stayed in a cleaner campground. The hosts were fantastic came through every day. Cleared the pads with a leaf blower and the restroom was immaculate.

Nice secluded lake with less people. Good for fly fishing, swimming if you dont mind a few snakes sharing the water. The lake is rather small, but no boats or Motorcraft allowed, so that is nice for the youngins.

In August the temperature was right. I went to spear fish and found the fish to be poisoned and dying. Water was dirty with flys. We did find a cool snake to observe.

The camp ground and restroom were clean. I even got to talk with the camp hosts Lee and Alice. They were kind and friendly and answered my concerns that I had. I have camped there twice this year and both times its been a good experience for me and my family.

As far as places to go with your family - this lake is just okay. Its small and its green! The surrounding vistas are not the prettiest Ive seen. There isnt a lot of suitable beach area for playing or sitting. There are benches placed around the lake at various spots - all in different states of repair. Above the lake is a small circular area with a few day-use picnic sites ($10/vehicle). We went for a brief family outing and didnt really enjoy ourselves all that much. It was quite hot to boot. I would recommend going a little farther up the road to Payson Lakes. Its much more beautiful and enjoyable.

Fun spot to catch a few fish. It was busy when we went but there was enough room and we caught several fish. Beautiful surroundings, relatively close and secluded.

Beautiful place. Nice little lake. Kids wanted to swim but there was algae covering almost the whole lake surface. Still had fun and lots of people fishing while we were there. We have stayed at the campsites here as well and it was great. Small one lane windy road to get the campgrounds. Use caution.

We went to swim in early July and had fun but it seem the lake is more geared to fishing than swimming. A lot of old fish line, hooks, sinkers and trash around the edge of the lake...

Poor Maple Lake. The water level is terribly low. Only a couple inches of water deep. Tons of goldfish in the water, but probably not for much longer. It is such a beautiful spot though nestled in the Wastach range. Beautiful countryside.

This is a fun campground with fairly nice facilities, the best part is the lake even though it is a bit dirty. Also if you want to avoid crowds this is usually a safe bet.

The mountains are beautiful but the lake is a big mud hole! No water in it. And the road is very narrow. Only 1 car at a time. Very sad its been neglected.

Such a beautiful place, but an example of why nice things are hard to maintain. There is so much broken glass around the lake and camping sites and garbage left from the usual dregs of humanity who feel no accountability to nature or society that it taints the overall experience a bit. Worth a visit, but bring wood and keep your shoes on!
