I have to applaud and commend Linda. She helped me take care of an issue with getting an authorization for my husband to get a medical test done which had been a fiasco until today. We thank you from our 💕. It shows that you truly care about the patients. She deserves a raise, Dr. Shaikh! 😁

My mother was admitted to the AdventHealth Hospital, and Dr. Aniq Shaikh was the doctor called to the ER. Initially, we were happy to see a specialist. Therefore, and after my mother was released by the hospital, we set an appointment with Dr. Shaikh. He was brisk, cold, rushed through the consultation, and was not empathetic at all. His staff is so rude, too.We paid his consultation fee for nothing. My mom came back home in the same or worst situation, without any medication, without any suggestions, and without any procedures’ dates. After days, when I called them again to try to set my mother’s procedures’ appointments while she was in pain, his staff mentioned me that the Dr. Shaikh was out of the country and without a return date, leaving us without options.Until now, we have not received any calls from them, although my mother is Dr. Shaikh’ patient and needed to be assisted and treated.Luckily, we found a professional and humane gastroenterologist who is treating my mother with success and empathy.

He is a good doctor but the wait time and office staff makes it an inconvenient experience. With an appointment we waited 2 hours to be seen. To get the appointment was horrible when the office staff lack listening skills, they are impudent and have no empathy whatsoever. As patients we dont need any type of unprofessional behavior, there are no excuses for it. Especially when you work for the health field, patients are vulnerable and we shouldnt be taken advantage just because we need to see a doctor ASAP.

Dr.Shaikh is an amazing GI doctor who takes his time with his patients. My father was told he had cancer and while we were very worried and filled with questions, he found the time to explain each step and why they were done. I find that to be an important quality in doctors, especially when they are they are bombarded with work and many patients to visit. Additionally, he took all the precautions necessary instead of rushing any major decisions.Doctors like him are hard to come by. He truly made me feel that my dad was in good hands!

I have been a patient of Dr. Sheikh since 2006. I’ve had many stomach problems and he did everything he could to help me and due to my problems try to avoid surgery. Although we couldn’t avoid surgery he was there every step of the way. He’s very thorough and will not stop till he’s got an answer. I recommend him 100% to anyone. Coleen Montalvo

Today I had an appt at 2:30 pm.It was my first time so I went there(they told me)at 2:15.i did the paper work in my car as I was told and the rude nurse told me to wait in the car. They already charged my 35 dollar copayment.I waited until 3:15 .I called them and asked what was going on because I saw everybody else going in the building, not waiting in the car like me.You are next,we will let you know. They let me in at 3:32 an hour after my appt. The nurse barely talked to me.She checked my pulse and blood pressure and leave me in the room for another 25 min.Nobody ever came so I decided to leave. They can return me the money or not but I am not going to see these thieves again for sure.

This was my initial visit to Dr. Shaikh and I found him and his support staff one of the best Ive dealt with in a long while. The wait time was shorter than other medical offices and the doctor didnt act like he had only a few minutes to spend with you before rushing off to the next patient. He was thorough and answered my questions. From this initial visit, I plan to stay with this practice for many years.

Im not sure what to make of the extreme differences in these reviews! I was petrified to make an appointment, because of the many negative reviews. However, I didnt have much of a choice, so I went ahead and made an appointment. I have been carefully observant, due to the negative reviews though.Fast forwarding, almost 2 years later, Im so glad that I got in to see him. I have only good comments for him, his professionalism, and attentive care. I had only one long wait (45 minutes at my first appt). Since then, I have been seen promptly, had plenty of time to be examined, with ample time to ask questions and be thoroughly answered. Im generally in and out within an hour. Hes always patient with me, even though I ask a lot of questions.Getting medications has never been an issue, even when I forget and have to call them on another day.I do agree that the young ladies (receptionists at the sign in desk) lack interpersonal skills (no smiles, no hello/goodbye, please, or thank you). I have flinched at how they talk to others (ask personal questions and financial information) across the room! Ive never had to deal with that though, but I certainly know how to handle the situation, if I ever need to.I should have rated his performance #5, but I gave a #4, because of his front desk staff.

I was very happy to see Dr. Shaikh initially. I believed that I was finally going to get the care I was looking for - alas I was mistaken. Its hard to know who really is at fault for many of the issues here as the office staff, as mentioned in other reviews, doesnt seem to care about patient service.I am unhappy as I do not feel like I was heard by the staff, or Dr. Shaikh himself. I was admitted to the hospital, and discharged with no plan. My actual time with the doctor lasted two seconds each visit. This isnt the kind of treatment you want when youre battling an illness. Nor do you want to be told by the doctor who admitted you to the hospital, that your problems are minuscule.Fun fact, when I asked about accommodations I could request for my job as a teacher, the woman on the phone replied, He has other patients who are teachers and theyre just fine.I feel like that sentence perfectly sums up my experience with this office.

Avoid at all cost! The staff is so rude! The wait time is ridiculous!! An appointment, what is that? That’s means nothing here. They canceled my appt same day 3 times. After almost a year I am sitting here still waiting when my appt was at 3:30 & got here at 2:40. I will NEVER come back here!

This doctors staff is the most miserable group Ive ever encountered. When you walk into the office there are two women at the counter. The one on the left is very curt and condensing. She has a chip on her shoulder the size of a boulder. Twice I had an appointment card in my hand for the day I walked in there; only to have this receptionist tell me my appointment was yesterday. So this office must overbook their appointments and make stupid excuses. Again, in a condensing matter; like Im the idiot. I love Dr. Shaikh, he is wonderful; but, I hate going into this office atmosphere. I cancelled my future appointments and Ill be looking for another doctor. Somebody needs to fire this staff before these doctors are out of business.

Dr. Shaikh occasionally has long wait times. That being said, he has always been very thorough in explaining my progress and recommended treatment options. I am the kind of person who has a million questions and he is patient with me. His staff is always friendly when checking me in or assisting with a procedure.

Absolutely useless. Charged me $250+ for a consultation and then said that I cannot see a doctor for almost 3-4 weeks because he was on vacation. I am now receiving mail saying I never paid, except there wouldnt have been a consultation without it.

The worst doctor Ive EVER encountered and I was an inpatient! The hospitalist AND surgeon wanted me to have an upper and lower endoscopy while I was in the hospital. Once he discovered I was uninsured he refused and even went as far as telling me I didnt have, and never had ulcerative colitis. Im58 and have been treated for this since the 5th grade by various GI doctors. Not ONE time did he physically examine me. He just read some test results and said to follow with my free place and my bed was reserved for emergencies. During my cold, abrupt and heartless 5 minute berated encounter twice he left to answer his phone. This is one very mean man who forgot about patient care or maybe never took that class. Other reviews state similar experiences. Wish I knew that first. BEWARE of this doctor.

After sitting on her heals for 1 1/2 years my last gastroenterologist closed up show and everyone had to find a new doctor. I went to Dr Shaike and he jumped right on the ball and got all tests and procedures completed and put the paperwork in for my meds to get approved. This doctor has saved my life! Literally! He tells it like it is, which is what I want. I hate doctors that talk to their patients like children. I have only glowing reports for this office. The staff at the front may be a little short when they are fielding multiple phone calls and patients at the same time, but they have always been nothing but nice and professional. Especially the lady at the back of the desk, wish I knew her name.Sometimes I have to wait and sometimes I get right in quickly. Late afternoons seem to be the best time to go.

NEVER EVER go to this doctor. He is brusk, cold and rushed, that is all true, but the big reason is this guy started touching me very inappropriately.Without asking held my hand in his and placed his crotch in my knee. AND IM ALSO A MALE. Steer far clear of this guy unless you wear a full body chastity suit.

Waited 2 hours over my appointment time, then spent 2 minutes with Dr. Shaikh while I watched him look at his laptop. Whenever I asked him a question he brushed it off with one word answers, he then referred me to get an endoscopy which his office later cancelled without notifying me. I then went to another gastroenterologist and she told me I didnt even need an endoscopy.
