I recommend digestive and liver center to everyone I meet. The service was amazing start to finish! From my call to become a new patient to checking in at the front desk. They treated me as if I was family! The doctor was great … very thorough and detailed! When I got my bill and needed to pay they were able to quickly assist by insuring I understood my bill and my portion that needed to be paid and why. This place is truly incredible and again the service is excellent!!!!!!

Ridiculous waiting time! Waited over an hour after my appointment. Office packed with people waiting in lobby, first time in my life I’ve waited so long for a scheduled appointment. People complaining in the lobby, falling asleep, constantly asking when will they be seen, arguing with front desk. Third world country type. Wasted my whole morning! Only when I asked the front desk for my paperwork back to leave after waiting OVER AN HOUR that’s when they found a room to have me wait for the nurse there. All staff looks overwhelmed, overworked and tired. Even at checkout the front desk lady interrupted the scheduler to take care of a call from a lady that had her in the phone for 25min, so while she was helping me she was also answering the phone and helping another patient. Honestly so unprofessional to disrespect patients time like that. Definitely not safe if you’re afraid of Covid. I decided to decline scheduling the procedure and will look for another practice, I recommend you avoid this place at all cost don’t waste your time!

Wife had to come back because they forgot to give her some script to take. Three days she hasnt been able to eat because of their common error. I say common because my own experience was about the same. Appointment made next day at 12:40, however, discharge nurse said to be here earlier, 11 am. Would not see us early. Bill? Well insurance says copay of 25%, didnt mention the specialist copay was also required of 10 bucks, should be paying me for the 45 minute drive we had because of their error. Two copay for one visit, shady people here.

Best way to explain my experience, was chaos! When I arrived to the building, there were groups of people filling out paperwork outside, groups of people filling out paperwork in the lobby. There was a line to get to the receptionist, the waiting room was full. Ive seen emergency rooms that are more organized. After an hour and a half of waiting, and no one providing updates, I canceled my appointment and left.

Very busy office but the staff and Doctors are great. I highly recommend them. After reading a few reviews, I did complete all my paperwork online and uploaded my insurance card so I did not have to complete once I arrived.

If I could give 0 out of 5 stars I would. You want to be given the run around, this is the place for you! They will not call you even when explicitly saying they will for a procedure. When you ask to reschedule because no one contacts you, you will then be transferred numerous times and no one will answer. Save yourself time and money and pick another facility for gastroenterology! This facility is the least professional in the Orlando/Kissimmee area.

I came here for my 2nd esophagus endoscopy and everything was really dinamic and fast. Everybody here from the front desk until doctors and nurses are very kind and know what they are doing without mistakes. Im really happy that everything turns out well with my procedure. Long wait, wrong diagnosis, arrogant doctor and rude staff. These guys have everything you look to avoid in a doctor and their practice. Looks like they got a team of FAKE reviewers from India to bump up their google rating. I wouldnt be surprised if they have fake degrees too. Dr Seela just gives bunch of tests and then when its time to talk to patient they forget which doctor prescribed these test and then make patient for 2 hours and another doctor says, just come back after 1 month because he is not aparently the doc who checked my wife before. Additionally, they gave wrong diagnosis to one of my friend. It also seems like they have some dedicated marketing staff who just makes sure to keep up their online reputation. They may just kill you. So Avoid Avoid Avoid!

I am afraid that I cannot recommend Digestive and Liver Center of Florida. I had a Tele-health appointment at 1115, and was to expect an initial call an hour or half hour in advance. When those calls did not come, I called the office, and spoke to staff about my concern. I was transferred to someone (I’m guessing a nurses station) and waited on hold for 45 minutes. Eventually, someone picked up, and said yes I had an appointment and they needed my email address. They then transferred me somewhere else, the call times out and I got a busy signal. I called back, waited on hold multiple times again, and eventually gave up. An hour later I called again to see what had happened, and I spoke to someone who transferred me to another department, where I reached an answering machine.Long story short, I never did have an appointment, speak to a doctor, or get any help. Obviously, this is very frustrating, and I will have to seek care elsewhere. Thankfully, there are plenty of other options for GI care in central Florida.

I would advise everyone to stay clear from this provider. I arrived for my appointment, Signed in, and then stood waiting to the side Because all the chairs were taken. I counted all around the room and there were 20 patients waiting to be seen. After about 20 to 25 minutes of waiting just to fill out initial paperwork, I asked the girl at the desk how long will it be before it is my turn being that I have an appointment. She confirmed that the doctor I was to be treated with had five patients ahead of me. With those five patients had me not yet seen, I was likely to have a waiting period of about an hour past my appointment before I would be called.I do not know why a doctor would make appointments when they are almost treating the practice like a walk-in clinic. It seems apparent The provider is scheduling too many patients within a short block of time.I canceled my appointment and will find another doctor to treat with. I would recommend no one else come here as they Obviously do not have the staff to treat as many patients as they are booking. This is also a blatant disregard for peoples time.

The facility itself is a breath of fresh air: clean, and tastefully decorated to keep the patients busy observing the details as we wait. BEWARE OF EXTRA BILL!I had a procedure at this location and the biopsy was sent to a pathology lab for testing. They sent it to an Out of Network lab and I had to pay more than $600 just because the lab was not in my insurance network.When I asked You had my insurance information, why it was sent to an out of network location?, the answer was You havent asked for an in-network labSo as a non-medical citizen of this county, I suppose to know their process and it was my responsibility to ask for an in-network lab.So dont make the mistake I did, and tell them to use in-network places for everything!!!UPDATE (07/22/2021)Almost one and a half years after my procedure, I got a call from the billing department still asking for payment for a balance I already paid in February 2021. Even though I fully paid and closed my account, they kept calling and asking for me to pay. And, I could never get a written statement that shows zero on my account. Do not go to this place if you do not want to be ripped off. (btw, the person on the phone was so rude and just wanted me to pay the money, although I explained to him that I do not owe any money)

Had a bad expert with the billing department! Staff is sweet but had me wait to do paperwork and get my money for hrs until I pay an incorrect smount. Procedure was done back in 5/20/21 and still waiting for my refund. They’re very good to ask for deductible but to pay back the refund the worst! Still waiting for my money! Still calling and no answer.. no one from billing department has called me back and today is 7/26/21.. wondering who I have to call to get this resolved????

I have never dealt with a worse set of office workers until having to come here. I’ve had multiple appointments canceled, one the night prior to the operation. I’ve had zero help with being connected to a nurse or anyone besides the operator. I’ve left multiple messages and have not had a single one returned. I’ve been sent to get blood work with the orders never being sent. I could go on but I’d rather not waste a single second on this company

Happy with Doctor, but there is absolutely NO excuse to wait the length of time that I did prior to my scopes. Especially being NPO for so long, not feeling well, and being anxious. Very apparent totally overbooked. Doctor apologetic, knowledgeable and kind. Professional after procedure, he personally comes to meet and explain your results.

Had my appointment today with Dr Kola. I have to say the attention of all the staff very welcoming, the organizations of each and every department was amazing you feel like your health concerns are important not only to the Dr but to everyone there. I have never been talked down to or reprimanded more by a doctor for the way i conversed with him. He didnt like my tone of voice or volume of my voice and spoke to me as if i was a child in front of my son. This office charges if you cancel or dont show up but yet they schedule so many patients that they cant even keep their appointment times.

My first visit to the office was a bit disappointing. I was seen by the dr one hour late despite arriving early and having an appointment prior to others who were taken ahead of me. Wish my time was valuable to them too. I was hoping to get some treatment options for my NAFLD but did not. I suppose there are none at this time. I was scheduled for endoscopy with a preferred bowel prep but my pharmacy was not able to fill it and despite several calls to the dr office the pharmacy was unable to obtain a suitable substitute prep. On the day of the procedure the waiting area was packed and I waited outside in the hot sun. Unfortunately, they again were running behind and they were an hour late for my procedure. Trying to get updates from the receptionist was impossible as her voice could not be heard above the lobby noise. She seemed annoyed that I could not read her mind. I received a bill from the dr office and the number on the bill is not to their billing office. Apparently the billing office does not want to address questions. The gave me a direct line number to billing which I call 4 times on consecutive days but they would not answer the phone. I left a voice message asking for a return call on two occasions but never received one. I tried to call the office manager and a pleasant lady took my information down and promised to forward it to billing for me. It did not work as I still have not received a return call.The physicians were pleasant and professional and if they worked in a practice that respected its patients I would recommend them.

I met Dr. Sheela (Seela) while in the hospital when I found out I had issues with my colon and more. Just to set up an initial appointment took 4 phone calls, and they don’t have a problem taking your money whether it’s in person or telehealth, but the doctor has always been at least an hour late to calling me back.They call and text to make sure you are coming or showing up for your appointment, but they are unavailable unless they are operating on you. I had to find another doctor due to their ineptness; I am not sure if they don’t care, indifferent, disorganized, or overwhelmed but as a former teacher if I treated my abuse to this way, I would have been fired.However I have dealt with Melissa and other people in the office and they have proven that although things don’t tend to go as they should, there are people there who are trying. I hope that make improvements in the future

Went there cause it was my network health plan, it is a caddle call and apparently doctors are in a hurry in order to see as many patient$ as possible!, scheduled an appointment for a colonoscopy got e-mails and text messages til the day before the procedure confirming it!, did all the preparation, diet, everything!, it was terrible!!, in the morning of the procedure my friend drove me to the hospital,(Advent Health), arriving there talked to the secretary that told me that my procedure had been canceled!!Unfortunately many doctors believe they are semi-gods and only their time is precious!, Have the feeling it is one more of those money hungry doctors facility!, it was either dr. Kola or Seela who should do the procedure, I am considering taking legal action to compensate for the emotional distress!

Arrived at the Dean location for an ultrasound to be told my appointment was in Sanford. This is after multiple texts, emails and reminders in the Healow app for the Dean location. No apology, no sorry for the inconvenience, just you need to reschedule. Another patient in the waiting area was having the same issue, was scheduled for testing results and told appointment wasnt for this day. The front desk staff couldnt have cared less. I wont be back.

The office staff (specifically the front desk associate) were extremely rude and unhelpful. Dr. Sheela himself was very short and provided little to know knowledge for our telephone appointment. Seeing from the other reviews this place seems to usually run smoothly but our experience was very different.

My first appointment I paid $35 co-pay the doctor was about 35 minutes late and then he only spent 10 minutes with me the nurses scheduled my appointment for my philosophy that appointment was great on time punctual so I had to do a follow up I try to cancel my appointment and reschedule they want to charge you $50 I get there today People’s in the waiting room about 2 1/2 hours that only seen her for 10 minutes the customer service is poor I pay my $20 co-pay I’ll arrive least 30 minutes early like they say my appointments at 2:15 I’m still in the back room at 3:15 haven’t seen no doctor but they want to charge you $50 for cancellation or reschedule then the lady tell me to $35 that I paid due on my first initial appointment was not receive so I’m trying to find out where is my money they are overcharging your insurance for poor service charge you big fees for cancellation don’t want you sitting up there 2 1/2 hour waiting the doctor is slow he doesn’t care but I will dispute this charge with my insurance company if they do charge me a cancellation fee added a whole big building there only one bathroom for the ladies in the men’s

Had 1st appt over phone. Schedule labs and Ultra sound . Dr was not in my insurance network had to start all over with another. Dr. Now sending me somewhere else fir ultra sound. Receptionist is exceptional.

I had my first experience with the office on a Tuesday after an ER visit when I was trying to schedule a follow up appointment. They got me in for a phone appointment the next morning and Dr. Sheela was so nice and immediately called in some medications to help with my issues and got me scheduled just two days later for a colonoscopy. Dr. Kola performed my procedure and was very nice and did an excellent job making me feel comfortable. I did feel slightly rushed out after the procedure (but that might have also been the medication!) but everyone was very courteous. I had my follow up call with Dr. Sheela and he was again very nice and caring, even letting me know the office would follow up with the next procedure and if they didnt just to text him and he would get it situated. They were again able to schedule me in the same week for the next procedure. I asked the lady on the phone to please email me all the follow up days and times since I couldnt write them down at the moment and I had them in my email just a few minutes later. Very happy my first experience under mild sedation was with them!

Thats a -1!!!!!! This place is a farm. They herd everyone in at the same time. Take your money and waste your time. They take full advantage of you because they know you need the service. My time is valuable. 4 hours waiting for a 30 min procedure. If the prep for it wasnt so awful, we would have left. But they are not the only service provider, Id rather pay out of network fees than to be treated like this again.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. After weeks of begging them to schedule me for a colonoscopy (8 weeks), once I arrived on the day of the procedure, it took them over an hour to call me in FOR THE WRONG PROCEDURE. They had me down for an endoscopy when I was supposed to be getting a colonoscopy! My experience has truly been nothing but negative, and I would not recommend that anyone come here, even if you are referred.They also try to get you to pay for the entirety of the procedure claiming that they do not take any form of insurance (which is not true, call your provider prior to them trying to scam you).

Initial appointment was made quickly. The day of the appointment the Dr spent maybe 5 minutes with me placed me in another waiting room to schedule my procedures with another employee. Waited and made my appointment. The order for the medication never made it to my pharmacy. Day of procedure after not eating for 24 hours, drove an hour to sit in their freezing cold waiting room for 2 hours. Finally I was pulled back to sign registration forms. Then placed back into the waiting room for another hour. I got a migraine from not eating for so long and everytome I asked what was going on the employee behind the counter told me I was next. That was a lie because patients that came in after me (2) were pulled back and I was still sitting there. Ended up canceling my appointment and follow up. Finding a different provider for my needs. Staff is very unprofessional.

I had a procedure done here and before the procedure, they made me take off my 14k hold chain and leave it in a bag. After the procedure, the chain went missing. I called and spoke to the staff, they said they would look and call me back - never got a phone call. My issue was completely ignored. And I just had my follow up appointment and the doctor said he would pass this on to the manager. I will update my review if I get a call and/or resolution to this.

I wanna share my awful experience with this center. I had an appointment with Dr. Sheela on Thursday, 11:15 AM. Dr. Sheela called me at 12 not on zoom or any video chat platform, a simple voice call. We talked for 3-4 min, didnt let me ask any questions, then verbally gave me lab test and Endoscopy and prescribed some medicions and hanged up. After the appointment for 3 days I checked with my pharmacy and their office failed had failed to send my prescription to the pharmacy. I had been calling every day, send them massages in their portal, nothing worked. Even though I followed up with them every day, thus far (after 4 days) they have not sent me Dr. Sheelas notes for my Endoscopy and blood test.If you really a responsive, professional Dr, this center should be your very last choice.

Here we go should have have never ignored the google reviews and went with my gut feeling on this one no pun intended, so i had an appointment by phone, im guessing due to covid. the appointment was for 12pm i checked in on the app and received a message saying your all set well call you. No one called, so i decided to call at 12:15pm to give the dr some time just in case he was running behind. got the runaround bounced to 3 different departments to finally get help around 12:25-12:30pm after calling back 2 more times. now someone did call at 12:40pm to ask what my symptoms are, and then was told the doctor would call me back. so i waited until 2pm to call back after no one bothering to call me back. and to no surprise got bounced around to every department once again. so finally, from someone that im pretty sure is not the doctors nurse or assistant tells me that doctor sheela stops seeing patients after 12:30pm and was told that if they bill me to call back and explain that you never seen the doctor. so in conclusion SOME of staff has attitude issues. the way this office works seems very disorganized after going through that i wonder if the procedures are the same.
