I could not recommend her more highly. Dr. Kashi literally saved my life. Upon diagnosing my cancer she recommended a terrific surgeon and oncologist each of whom also provided extraordinary care. I have recommended Dr. Kashi to friends and family and each of them has been grateful for her care. Im sadden to read several low reviews and am heartened to know that her care and concern for my health was paramount.

Would have given 5 stars but first meeting was great very professional and knowledgeable. But follow up to phone calls and MyChart messages did not happen. Lack of communication made me lose trust and confidence with this practice. I am seriously looking to move my care from Advent.. thought I would have better care but they just did not deliver .. very disappointed!!! 😞

If I could give 0 stars I would. The office staff alone needs its own review of how poorly competent these individuals are. Unprofessional, rude, and not putting forth the patients best interest. Following up calls from Dr.Kashi’s office is a nightmare!!! Not to mention they double book patients, and do not value your time at. Expect to spend more than 2 hours for your visit. I feel as though I’m treated and seen merely as a piggy bank. Racking up my insurance to receive a nice paycheck, when the work input is just not there. You used to be a good doctor Dr.Kashi. You’ve now become the worst doctor with the worst practice I’ve ever encountered.

Before I go on with my comments, it should be noted that this is the first google review I have ever written, and that is because I feel so strongly about this.Dr. Kashi discovered and diagnosed my esophageal cancer, and I will forever be grateful for her part in literally saving my life. After the diagnosis I was, of course, handed off to a team of surgeons and oncologists to take it from there. Dr. Kashi continued to check in with me two to three times per week by phone and text, just to see how I was doing with my recovery for several months. Of all of the many, many, many physicians I have dealt with in the past year of my cancer journey, none of them could hold a candle to the level of care and compassion I received from her. Some doctors are in it for the money, and it shows. Dr. Kashi cares, and it makes her one of the best.

I see Dr Kashi around every 18 months for endoscopies and colonoscopies. She is fantastic and pays attention! Having a female doctor is important to me. Highly recommend Dr Kashi! If people are writing bad reviews for the office staff, surgical center etc.., THAT IS WRONG! Review Doctor Kashi!! Take off a star for the other stuff, but note WHY you did. Dr Kashi getting 1-2 stars because of the staff or billing mistakes is you being selfish!!

Dr Kashi is a wonderful physician, however the surgical center where she performs the procedures has horrific billing practices. I saw Dr Kashi for my typical colonoscopy. Their office coded the procedure incorrectly and Ive been receiving a bill for $1500 on a procedure that should have been 100% covered by insurance. Ive called Advent Health 4 times to straighten this out but to no avail. Its been exhausting trying to fix this, especially when I work a demanding full time job and dont have time to argue with a billing dept. While I really like Dr Kashi and trust her completely, I wish she was independent so I wouldnt have to deal with this nightmare.

I have been a patient of Dr. Kashi for over 6 years now, how I’ve lasted so long I do not know. The attention to patient care is below average. The office staff, nurses and medical assistants are never available to answer ones calls. If you schedule an appointment at a given time expect to wait over an hour in the lobby or zoom call before you are even acknowledged. I have ulcerative colitis (diagnosed at 15) and have gone through several treatment processes that have and some that worked. Ive been currently dealing with a lengthy bad flare for some time now, expressing to the Dr. that since starting the new treatments have not done anything for me. But it doesn’t cost her anything, since I am the one paying the monthly Bill for a medication that hasn’t helped me in any way. Dr. Kashi’s solution is to pile up on prednisone, disregarding my history of bone density loss. Knowing steroids such as those cause more bone demineralization. I’ve called this doctor crying, in pain, and still no solution to my health concerns and all she could tell me is that she can’t work miracles. I also mentioned to her that I had a lump forming near my inguinal area not sure if it was related to colitis and she didn’t order any tests just sent me over to my primary. I’m currently recovering from a hernia surgery that could have been diagnosed for some time now if actual care was given to me. Stay away from this place!!!

I had an endoscopy endoscopy last Wednesday. Needed to get the prescription they called in to a pharmacy I gave them but price was 250.00 versus 35.00 at Costco or other places. I spoke to someone Wednesdsy afternoon and left a message Thursday morning. I spoke to someone again Monday morning. Had run around that nurse practitioner would need to approve . Nobody has called me back and no prescription has been called in. Dr. Kashi seemed very nice but this is very poor communication.

Terrible. There should be now reason why I’m consistently fighting for a follow up on my health. Very disorganized. All the double bookings cause later wait times. As an office, these bad habits should not be acceptable especially for someone sick or in need of immediate consultation.

One star is being generous but its the lowest rating....I was referred to Dr. Kashi by a very reputable and caring physician. After waiting months for an appointment, the appointment day had come. I waited for 30 minutes passed the scheduled appointment time to call the office and question what was going on. I was then told that the doctor was behind because she double books all appointments. I was also told it would be another 30 minutes at least, if not more. With her being the Medical Director, I feel that she should be aware how frustrating and unacceptable this is to patients. Not only her time is valuable. I am still waiting after almost 2 hours and called the office again. Now Im being told that since the nurse didnt speak to us first that I will have to reschedule, are you kidding me! After waiting months for this appointment! Infuriated is not even a strong enough word for this situation!

I was referred to Dr. Kashi by my OB due to having Crohns disease. I saw Dr. Kashi in March when I was pregnant, and set up a follow up appointment in September (postpartum). Back in april, I messaged her office asking for a prescription refill and never heard back. I followed up twice and never heard back. Randomly, two months later, I got a notice that the office staff called in the prescription out of nowhere. Thankfully, it wasnt a critical need but I found it weird that no one got back to me. I brushed it off.Unfortunately, I should have taken this as a red flag. While I was asymptomatic with my Crohns during my September appt, I shortly after started having a lot of pain and was desperate to move up my procedure to an earlier date. I messaged Dr. Kashi noting my pain, issues with getting lab work done, and that I was having other challenges, and received no response whatsoever. You would think as a doctor, that if a patient messaged you saying Im having severe pain and my bloodwork is abnormal that she would either want to see me immediately, or at least would take the time to respond. Nope. Unfortunately not. I called the office again after not hearing back from her and after being placed on hold for 10 minutes by the office staff, was told I would get a call back regarding my message to Dr. Kashi from the medical assistant. This was after being told I couldnt be seen until December (in the first week of November). I was trying to get an appointment scheduled ASAP as I would think most doctors have an appointment or two available for emergency cases, but instead of getting a call like I was promised, I finally received a portal message from someone who I had never spoken to that only said yes go ahead and schedule an appointment before your procedure. Conveniently for the office, they were already closed (this was a Friday afternoon) so I was unable to speak to anyone.I called again first thing this morning (Monday) to get my appointment scheduled. First the receptionist told me to hold so she could check Dr. Kashis schedule. 8 minutes later after being placed on hold with no answers, I was told I could be seen today. I said Great, what time? the receptionist replied Oh...im not sure. Let me look. You tell me I can be seen today but dont know the time? Oye. Back on hold I go for another few minutes. Then she comes back on and tells me the surgery scheduler needs to schedule my appointment - not her - and that theyll call me soon. I didnt understand given that its a normal appointment, but, fine. I finally talk with the surgery scheduler who gets me an appointment on Wednesday, November 18. I ask if I can be seen today - Monday, November 9. Im told no, that Dr. Kashi is double booked all day. Im also told that Dr. Kashi is triple booked on the day of my appointment and it may be over an hour after the appointment time that she actually calls me. I was then told (which seems to be a consistent thread among her reviews) that she is always double booked and always running late. After being fed up with having an inaccessible doctor, especially during times of pain and inflammation with a chronic illness, I have decided to go to another practice. The office staff here is disorganized and unfortunately Dr. Kashi is just too busy for my liking. The reason for my 2 stars is for Dr. Kashis virtual bedside manner. When you can actually get an appointment with her.

She has not called for 2 days now for my other who is under her care. I have tried twice and left messages with her call service who was actually kind of rude as well even though when on hold it says how much they appreciate your business. My sister has tried to no avail also. For 6 months now they have not been able to find out why she has an internal bleed. NO response to call service !! I will be finding a new GI doctor for my mother because of the way she handled the care of a great woman who deserved much much better !! Zero stars if possible !!

Very disappointed in the medical assistant for Dr. Kashi, I called left messages on 1/30 & 2/3 and they never returned my call. I tried to talk to the office manager on many occasions to find out why and they never returned my call either. Not thrilled with Dr. Kashi either. After 2 appointments I felt she was not really listening to what I was saying. She wanted me to try a medicine I already had used and it did not work and she insisted I try it again. I found out my insurance will not cover it anyway.

Dr. Kashi was referred to me by my PCP, this practice is very disorganized. While my first visit wasnt the best considering I had been to the ER twice in the month of December. Dr. Kashis P.A. never read my results fromy MRI, CT or ultrasound yet recommended over the counter drugs. So I just racked up thousands of dollars in medical bills for you to suggest an over the counter drug. I asked to see Dr. Kashi. Dr. Kashi reviewed the images yet was not sure on next steps. She offered my a prescription yet never completed the questionnaire from the insurance company therefore nothing was prescribed. I informed my PCP of this and I told her I would give Dr. Kashi one more chance. Well I arrived at 8:30 and its 9:30 as I sit and wait to be seen. The assistant says, I see you are here for a follow up, what are you following up on? I said you should be telling as it should be in your notes. Im done!! We pay too much on insurance to get little to mediocre medical treatment when we are already dealing with a true medical condition.Frustrating!

Went here for sharp abdominal pain. Mentioned occasional galbladder pain and diarrhea as well. Dr told me eat healthier, lose weight and come back in 3 months. 6 months later still have abdominal pain. I understand the direction, but I needed a GI doctor, not a nutritionist/personal trainer.

This is the email I sent to Advent Health on June 9th to which I have received no response:Dr. Kashi was recommended to me by my PCP. My pre-procedure appointment was at 2.45 p.m. on June 6th. I was not seen by Dr. Kashi until 4.10 p.m.I was going to overlook the unreasonably long wait, but was greatly disappointed (and very upset) at Dr. Kashis demeanor. She was mechanical, cold, impersonal, and was visibly irritated when I asked questions. Worst of all, she ignored my questions and did not answer them. She was obviously tired and yawned several times.I expect that Dr. Kashi is very competent and, as a result, very busy. However, I will be looking for someone else to perform the procedure. I need to have a doctor who at least makes a pretense of being caring and compassionate.I will not be recommending her to anyone. I am sure that there are many other, equally competent, practitioners in Central Florida. With her patient load, Dr Kashi may not care, but I hope that Advent, as an institution, does.
