Been seen by dr Buelvas for years now and never had a problem and felt comfortable with him and practice. But lately you have to predict when you get sick to be able to be seen, twice I got sick on two separate occasions and tried to make an appointment only to be told earliest availability is 2-3 months away! Not sure how that’s going to help me get better. Assuming the staff gets harassed about this, they don’t seem to care and are short when it comes to trying to schedule an appointment. Guess it’s time to start looking elsewhere.

It is when you get an illness that you find out if a doctor and his staff care. My husband and I are both patients and both of us are sick. I spoke with the night nurse who was professional and caring. She was to forward the notes to the practice and told me to call them at 8am when they opened on Friday. Their hours are 8-12 that day. I called and could not speak to anyone, goes to VM. I left a message. I patiently waited until 11:35, the dentist I work for told me to call again and make sure I reached them before they closed for the weekend. Again, no one picked up on their main line! So convenient on a Friday afternoon to not deal with issues. I left another message to please call me. This is the second time this has happened. Why employ a doctor if you end up at urgent care when you really need them. We will be moving on.

If you care about your health and life do not see Dr Buelvas. Seeing this doctor is a mistake and I wish I could turn back time because he caused irreversible damage to my health. He obtained his medical license from a very shady school that if you really research, is a known diploma mill. Research the doctors you visit and where they got their diploma, at first glance it appears to be a reputable school, (American School of Antigua) but dig deeper and you’ll see the truth (diploma mill). He carelessly prescribes meds and although seems to be an attentive, competent doctor upon first impression is actually very cold and lacks any emotion at all. The meds he prescribed were meds I never should’ve been taking, which I had to discover after visiting multiple doctors who were horrified that I had ended up on them in the first place. He was careless and didn’t look at my past medical history. Don’t risk it, find a dr. who has a education from a reputable school. I had to learn the hard way.

I am so grateful for Dr. Buelvas. He is a true professional who listens to his patient’s concerns. He is knowledgeable, kind, compassionate, and judgment-free. Additionally, he is the most thorough primary care physician I have ever been to, ordering a full panel of tests/labs, and ensuring that he gets a broad scope of understanding of his patient’s health in order to address their needs. I am finally getting answers to issues that were overlooked for many years by other providers. I am so so grateful for Dr. Buelvas, he is truly doing God’s work. I searched so long to find a good PCP. Dr Buelvas is amazingly talented and a great person! Very grateful for him and his staff.

My entire family and I really love Dr. Buelvas. He truly cares for his patients and genuinely wants to help in every way he can. However Ive noticed over the last 6-7 months a complete shift in service when it comes to his staff. The online portal has been replaced by the Carium app, which I love and believe the service is fabulous on there, but the staff physically in his office do not provide the same level of service as Dr. Buelvas or the Carium nurses. We can never get a hold of the doctor or see him - he has no availability often for over a month - so if we get sick or have horrible side effects to medications (as my father did, which almost sent him to the ER), how can we see our own doctor? I hope they can get the office straightened out because it makes us want to go for care elsewhere at this point even though we love Dr. Buelvas. We always tell him its always great once we get to see him but leading up to that is frustrating and exhausting.

By far the best Doctor! You can truly tell he cares about his patients, you never feel rushed when going over your questions. The office staff is also very detailed, friendly and organized. I really dont dread going to my appointments anymore because i know i am in good hands! Thank you Dr. Buelvas & Staff!

Hes been wonderful, communicative and kind. Ive never felt rushed in the years Ive been seeing him, and he makes sure to see me as a whole person always asking about all areas of my life regardless of the reason for appointment, examining me physically, emotionally, socially, etc. I recommend him to every person I know looking for a doctor.

I have not even seen him yet, but he came to see one of my friends in the hospital, I was impressed with his compassion for him. I was looking for a pcp, I think I may have found him. I’m about to schedule an appointment

Took time to get to know and understand my past health history. He is very nice and easy to speak too! Very knowledgeable!

He acts like hes a nice guy, but hes not. Doesnt listen, has very poor communication skills, tried to use fear and intimidation to coerce into paying for tests I didnt need, and he lied to me in an attempt to justify his failure to address the medical problem I came to see him about. Avoid!

Dr. Buelvas is kind, attentive and very personable. My health means something to him and he always has time for my questions and requests. I would recommend him to anyone!

Jennifer the PA is not a nice person she doesnt listen to your issues and concerns. She just tells u what she wants and she expects you to listen and follow her directions. If you tell her something hurts and she touches it she asks it hurts that bad?. She gives u what she wants and sends u on your way. Then if you arent feeling better you rather suffer than go back to this PA. She is not compassionate or concerned if you are in pain.Whats the sense in going to the Office if she is not going to listen to your issues and concerns?Jennifer misdiagnosised me and went to my dentist where I was given the proper medication and diagnoised. Only to find out I had a infection in my tooth. Thats why my gland was swollen and hurting so bad!!!!The staff is great and quick to get you in ASAP!!

Dr. Buelvas knowledge, bedside manner, compassion and willingness to listen gave him the tools to connect the missing pieces that compounded my failing health. He was able to give me a thorough diagnosis after two visits. Something that numerous doctors after many visits, could not, some unwilling to do, leaving me felt as if I was just a number and a nuisance. A few gave me general diagnoses but did not give me the tools needed to improve my health.Dr. Buelvas makes me feel valued, and with his healthcare team and holistic approach my health and quality of life is starting to show marked improvement.In addition to his greatness his friendly staff, office atmosphere and cleanliness is definitely a reflection of him. I would highly recommend Dr. Christopher Buelvas.

As a healthcare proffesional myself I personally recommend him to some of the patients I see who ate searching for a pcp. He always takes the time to listen to your needs without rushing you out of the office and always cares about how you are doing as a whole . He always remembers to include my boys by interacting playfully (even though they are not patients of his-ages 11 mo and 2.5 yrs)Truly does embrace the #wholecare experience.
