Called endocrine center to have prescription sent to pharmacy, and was told it would be that day. Called pharmacy that evening, and they hadnt gotten it. Called Endocrine center Friday morning to see what was going on and they said it was sent to be filled on Friday. Called pharmacy on Friday and they still hadnt gotten anything from the endo center. Now theyre closed for the weekend and no one is answering the on call line. How am I supposed to get my insulin?!

I love this practice due to the welcoming attitude of the office staff, as well as the medical professionals. I like that I can always reach a live person when I call during business hours. The doctors are very knowledgeable and always explain in detail what I need to know to understand. One of the best things I LOVE about this team is that they are a NO SHAME team. So many doctors use the shaming technique to some how force you into eating right or losing weight. This office explains the facts, shows how to achieve results, offers special classes to help me along my path to health, with encouragement and no shame. I can walk out empowered and not ashamed. I love that!! This is my favorite doctors office!!

The doctors themselves are fine but the office itself is just so terrible. Its now been 5 months that Ive been without my testosterone and its because these people are sending the wrong form. Not only that but I recently went to pick up a prescription and they put the wrong date on it. They also take forever and a day to reach back to you. I understand they get very busy but they need to improve on that. If it wasnt for the doctor I would have left already.

Find another office for your needs. This place is all about how quickly they can get your money. Dr Wendy treats you like a paycheck not a person. Seriously trust the reviews. I didnt and I regret it. There are drs out there that really care about people FIRST and money second. This place doesnt care about people.

I would like to start out by saying I have only been a patient for a few months and have no real comment as to the doctor’s ability, and have been reasonably satisfied with my treatment. There is a recurring theme in these reviews and its money. I have 6 total doctors I see this practice being one of them, if I include all the other doctors my wife and children see it could be over a dozen. This is the only doctor I or my family go to that collect co-pays up front and in the lobby. They actually discuss billing and amounts due and what those amounts are for. I once asked what a charge was for and the response was those were for your lab tests on xyz date. Although I’m not a lawyer this has HIPAA violation written all over it. I have actually witnessed someone say ill pay half today. I am fortunate that money is not an issue for me, however that is not the case for many. Imagine having to explain you can’t pay right now in an open lobby where other patients are waiting. Every other doctor I see has a separate window where they collect at the end of the visit. My dermatologist office even asks that you step back when someone else is paying to protect personal health information. Now comes the final rub, they book your lab tests at their facility which is across the hall. I have been having these same lab test for years and my out of pocket is much less at other facilities but I’m not complaining about the costs. The doctor’s office is in an office building and in order to give a urine sample you have to go to the public bathroom. You then have to walk through the building with a cup of urine in your hand as other people are walking around. Not a great feeling but it gets worse after that I go back to the lab and am told you have a small balance it was $44 and you must pay before I can draw your blood. I said I’m on a really tight schedule and I promise to walk straight across the hall and pay after you draw my blood. I did this for fear if I walked out more people would come in front of me. Her answer was not I’m sorry ill get in trouble or it is policy it was a kind of rude NO. No you have to go and pay first. Did I look like I was going to get my blood drawn and sprint out of the building, if I was a patient who couldn’t pay would services be denied to me? Money is a theme here; I do realize doctors need to be paid for their work but there are professional standards missing here. The staff excluding the Doctor in my opinion may not like their jobs just a bad vibe. In other posts the response is call the office and speak to the doctor. I decided at that time this is not a place I want to come I asked that the front desk tell the doctor to call me. Three days have passed with no call so I decided to write this post.

My Mother has been going to this office for well over 10 years and has always been greeted with friendly staff and professionalism. She has had to call many times and left voice messages. She has always received a return call the same day or next day if she left message later in the day. Very pleased and happy to have a specialist group to care for her. Thank you Dr. Huhn and staff.

I had an appointment with Dr. Wendy and she said my blood work looked great. She asked me how I felt and I said the same - great! She asked if I was still taking the medicine she prescribe and I said I never started because I wanted to try natural medicine like supplements and herbs... boy did the visit change. She asked why am I here and handed me my papers and said why dont you take this and have your naturalist look at it! Wow was I taken back. I thought she would at least be happy for me. She got up and said I dont do eastern medicine went to her assistant and did not even say goodbye. She was very unprofessional... May be she should look at other ways of practice and dont be so quick to judge another way.

Since the first time I stepped foot into their office, I saw that their front lady Jennifer has an attitude with every patient that was signing in. I had just moved from a childrens clinic to an adult clinic and I immediately knew that that the pen was better than a pump for myself. Doctor Robert Constant had an issue with me wanting to switch back to the pen instead of sticking with the pump. I hadnt even been his patient for more than five minuets at the time. I set up an appointment with them and the nurse Kim had called out. Their team had said they would call back to reset up an appointment with me and they never happened to call back. I recently called them to set up and appointment with them when I showed up they told me they no longer took my insurance. Over the phone it is a procedure to ask you if anything has changed since your last visit which they had lacked on doing. They wanted me to pay out of pocket over $200 for lab work. I was very dissatisfied with their communication, team members and overall service. I would not recommend this office due to the disrespect, lack of communication and service I got as an individual here at the Diabetes and Endocrine Center of Orlando.

Id give zero stars if possible. Ive been calling and leaving messsages for 3 weeks. No has replied to emails or phone calls. The office staff is miserable -- cranky, unwelcoming, and inept. And the clinicians dont seem to care much more than the office staff. Frankly, no one seems to care too much about my health. I would not recommend this practice.

As a new patient Ive never felt worst than Ive felt during my visit to a doctors office. From a medical perspective, I know the work load can be heavy but not when you can control patients visit. Doctor was in a rush and I was treated as a #. Lack of compassion and effective communication, didnt even get a chance to explain well whats happening to me before I was told they have to move on , its a shame. Sometimes I think to myself do they forget we the patients are paying them. I would NEVER recommend them to anyone and definitely will be seeking service elsewhere. Usually I wouldnt write reviews, if the service was unsatisfactory Id go somewhere else but this one, no way couldnt let it slip away without others knowing. No one deserves to be treated that way.

Dr Wendy Huhn is the worst Doctor I’ve ever had the displeasure of seeing. She’s has horrible bedside manner. She’s a bully and body shames you. She is unwilling to let you be part of your medical decisions and treatments. It’s her way or the highway. Found that out when I deterred from her treatment plan so she booted me from the practice. Wendy Huhn doesn’t have the compassion needed to be a good doctor. Would not even recommend this doctor to my worst enemy.

Just started taking care of my dad. Hes a perfect example of what happens when you dont manage your diabetes. This clinic shed a LOT of light on how to better care for him. The staff - from the receptionist to the nurse to the doctor (Vaulk) handled my dad so well. My dad is a very irritable, grumpy man. He was giving EVERYONE a hard time. Each staff member rolled with whatever he dished out and it was hilarious! Thank you SO MUCH for helping us!!

I went there for several years getting lab work, ultrasounds, doctor/PA visits every few months and felt like the care was fine. HOWEVER, they put me in collections over ONE co-payment ($60.00) that they failed to collect at the start of an appointment. I was going to pay it at my next doctor visit in a couple of months, rather than send a check (who uses checks anymore?). When I called to make the appointment I was told they sent me to collections and discharged me as a patient. After years of them getting lots of money from me and my insurance company for labs, ultrasounds and doctor appointments they wrecked my credit and lost me as a patient (with good insurance - a PPO) for a delayed payment of only $60.00. My credit score took a dive. Thankfully I am with a new endocrinologist who I like SOOOO much more. My health is better and my credit score has recovered a year later. I am still so mad about how I was treated by the billing of this place. Poor business decisions. They got their money and lost A LOT more money losing a chronic care patient.

I needed to see an endocrinologist and found Dr. Wendy Huhn as a provider in my network of doctors I could see. I called the office and was able to make an appointment, received paperwork that I could fill out prior to my visit. During my appointment the doctor had someone transcribe our visit. Because of this and their computer systems I was able to complete my visit seamlessly, even getting my bloodwork completed across the hall.

Horrible practice! I was a patient of Dr. Constant’s. It’s all about money and pharmaceutical kickbacks here. Not to mention the horrible wait times and office staff. Jeannine in particular. She is the most absent minded person you could speak with. You ask them to call you back and they message you back on an unorganized portal instead, as if I have the time to login to a portal and respond. Very unprofessional! These doctors work for YOU, not the other way around, so don’t let these people determine what’s best for you and your health, because it won’t be to your benefit!Needless to say, they’ve been fired as my healthcare provider and will be going to another provider who went to medical school and actually learned something about my disease (which is a fairly common disease), someone who also knows and understands what’s best for my health, not just about my money!Review up date 11/27/2018: I received a call from Liz today trying to confirm an appointment that they had scheduled and I explained to her that Dr. Constant was fired as my doctor and I left you a bad review on Google and her response was “That’s fine we’re not worried about that.” They are obviously not worried about losing their patients, because they’ve lost so many already. She made that clear per our phone conversation. The reviews don’t lie!

I would not recommend the Diabetes and Endocrine Center of Orlando. I really wanted to like this provider as I spent a lot of time trying to find and endocrinologist. Upon my first visit with the physician, I left feeling like a number, not someone who had just come out of cancer treatment and had a lot of questions. Bedside manner is definitely lacking, that is in regards to both the staff and the physician I was seeing. Id witnessed the staff have less than welcoming attitudes with patients who were seen before me, but tried to pay no mind to it. On several occasions during our conversation/consultation I was interrupted by the physician, and answered with rhetorical questions that came with a attitude of superiority. Clearly I didnt feel like my concerns were validated, let alone listened to. I proceded to make another appointment, because I really wanted this to work. The staff booked me an appointment with their lab (which is in the building)- and failed to inform me that A- Id be charged if I missed an appointment, and B- appointment cancellations must happen 24 hours in advance. All well and good, however, Their office doesnt answer phone calls during a traditional lunch, or after hours, and the answering service doesnt take messages.I Attempted to call within their 24 hour time frame and let them know Id be using the Quest that was nearest to my job, but was unable to get through to anyone. I didnt think it would be a huge deal. However, when I walked in to my second appointment, I was greeted with a $50 missed Lab appointment fee. I kindly let them know I wouldnt be paying that, as I attempted to call and advise I wouldnt be able to make it, and dont believe penalization would really be helpful in this situation. The manager at the desk then let me know, that I wouldnt be able to see the doctor without paying, and that if I DIDNT see the doctor, Id be charged ANOTHER missed appointment fee- so far $100 for services not rendered. I explained that while I do understand informed policies, and dont want to inconvenience anyone. I was there, my labs were there, surely there is something that can be done. and that moving forward, I would continue to utilize quest to avoid this situation. That wasnt an option, the office manager then proceeded to shut me down, and let me know I wouldnt be seeing the doctor, and that now I owed them $100, and that if I didnt pay it, shed have no problem turning it over to collections. I let her know that this is where the relationship ends, and Id like to have my medical records- and was cut off before I could finish -faxed to another provider. She then let me know that it would be $15.00 to have those records- which is true if I needed them printed, HOWEVER,, its free to fax. This is predatory folks. I looked around at the office and saw the many people that were my grandparents age and wondered, how many of them had experienced this? especially if they were uninformed. I left the office, knowing that it wouldnt work, as I just wasnt a good fit for their setting. Also, I had no intention of paying the $100.00. I wish this was where it ended.I got a phone call several days later telling me I had a lab missed ANOTHER LAB appointment. One that I didnt make, and that Id be billed for it. HOW does this happen? After trying once again to call and try to resolve this, NO ONE PICKS UP.There are other providers out there folks- providers that actually treat you like a sentient being and arent predatory with their billing practices, this isnt one of them.

I have been seeing Doctor B. since October of 2016. After years of having doctors look at me and say Well, you are fat so you are probably diabetic and you probably over eat. Heres a 1500 Calorie diet. Go lose weight because fat is unhealhty and never really helping.Since I have been seeing Dr. B, I have gone from a size 26 down to a size 18 as of 3/1/2017. I feel better and have more energy and have him and the AMAZING team at the Diabetes and Endocrine Center of Orlando to thank! I have never had a moment with them where I thought they were rude or awful. Then again, I dont ever forget my co-pay and dont practice wacky medicine and then go to a Medical Doctor and expect to be praised for doing that.If I had one complaint to give, it is that not once have they ever actually answers the phone when I call (their brand new phone rotary system is currently not working right). I really dont like that at all. And it takes a day or so for them to manage to get back with you. I am not a fan of poor phone communication. If you have a phone at your office for your business, you should be answering it.At any rate, Thank you Dr. B and team! You are the ones behind my weight loss success!

I called the office to obtain a few pills - a required medication that I had inadvertantly left behind during a business trip. Not only did the nurse refuse to fax me a prescription for the 5-6 pills I needed to tide me over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend, she told me the wrong time for the office closing time so that when I showed up at the office to pick up the presecription in person, they had already closed. When I called there is an answering service that told me there wasnt even an option to leave a message - had to wait from Wednesday until Monday. Sorry she said, and hung up the phone.Im going to be 5 days without required medication as a result. If I may editorialize, I dont think doctors should be allowed to be completely unreachable and provide no alternative doctor contacts to patients. However great a doctor may be in person, there is a certain level of commitment that I believe needs to go along with the emphasis on professional education and the consequent high fees. I am very disappointed.Terrible office!
