Staff is nice sure, but be careful with insurance coming here. The billing staff doesnt know what they are doing or I suppose they just like charging people money for no reason. Even when your insurance pays 100 percent of everything. They also like to wait until 5 minutes before your appointment to tell you that you owe money and cant continue with your appointment if you dont pay, which causes you to miss your appointment, and then they want to charge you a service fee for a missed appointment. Ive talked to billing almost 5 seperate times about the insurance, even done conference calls with my insurance agent to tell them that they have been getting paid this entire time. Still theres always an issue. Its actually ridiculous how much they dont care about your situation. Leaving to go to another practice that actually cares about treating trans women without pushing for money all the time, THIS IS WHY WE HAVE GOOD INSURANCE.And if you read this front desk, you prob know which patient this is and you should be ashamed of how youve treated her.

My experience started when I began to look for a PCP. My prior physician ignored my claims of severe anxiety. By the time I found Spektrum I was nearly never leaving my house as a 20 year old student. Denise Morgan as guided me over the past 10 months on a journey of coming off my old medication and finding one right for me, I have gone from never leaving my apartment to traveling the country as a young journalist in my short time with Spektrum. My partner is blown away in the difference it has made in my everyday life. Both Lana and Megan in the office are also incredible, they helped me work with my insurance to ensure my visits would be covered. I am so happy I found Spektrum Health.

I found them by accident. The staff are well trained and they will take care of you like you are their family members.About my doctor, i am naturally getting sick constantly as a result, I have been going to hospital and doctors offices more than once a month.. what being said,, I really sensed my doctor has healer spiritual and mental health care experiences.And the most important thing is you dont need to wait. Who wants to wait when you dont feel well right ? Lol well,I didnt have to wait a very long time like any other doctors offices even though I already scheduled an appointment. 😉I will miss this place when I deploy again 😢

I absolutely LOVE this place and its staff! I had been searching for an office to help me with my transition and make me feel comfortable. The place is the most comforting doctors office I have ever been in. My wife and I both see Joey and he is just phenomenal. I never feel like Im bothering him or his staff when I need things addressed and its amazing.

Finding Spektrum health last year is probably one of the best things that has ever happened to me. It really has been life changing. My experience with Joey and the staff at Spektrum has been better than at any other health care provider I have gone to.Spektrum is never the rush rush production line that most clinics are these days. The staff is super friendly and all of them take the time to listen and to make me feel like I matter.Having the virtual telemedicine option available made it easy for me to keep my appointment during the pandemic too!

When my wife came out as mtf I went with her to her first therapy appointment at Spektrum. We were both so impressed that now we both see Ann for therapy and Kim for medical needs and we wouldnt go anywhere else. If we ever move out of Central Florida we will absolutely stay patients remotely.Every single person there genuinely wants nothing more than to help people be happy. Your pronouns will be embraced and you will be surrounded by people who will help you be your best self no matter what your concerns are. You can tell that this is not just a job for any of them. It really shows how passionate they are about equality and protecting the LGBTQ+ community.

I cant say enough good things about Spektrum Health. They literally probably saved my life this year. They make you feel immediately like family. It doesnt matter why or how often you need them, they are there for you! I have used Spektrum for mental health counselling, PCP, and Trans services. Everyone who works there genuinely cares and are 100 percent knowledgeable and professional. So glad they are expanding. I cannot say anything but good words about Spektrum Health!! I’ve been to a lot of different doctors from general medical physicians to surgeons, and all of the offices are the same. Fill out the paperwork, sit down and wait to be called back. Then wait some more, up to an hour at times, until the doctor shows up. No one wants to deal with that.This was certainly NOT the case with this medical office! Seeing nurse practitioners is by far better than seeing a physician. Both Joey & Kim are VERY knowledgeable, professional yet laid back and clearly passionate about helping the LGBTQA+ community. Lana, Megan and Wendy are the best “front of house” people I’ve had the pleasure of meeting. They make those first moments into your visit, feel less of an appointment and more of an outing with friends so to speak. My anxiety was definitely less than normal thanks to them. I love that the entire staff is a wonderful representation of our community as well! It’s rare to find a medical office that treats you like a family member/friend.

In the beginning of my exploration into my own identity I needed a lot of help. I was entirely new to the LGBTQ+ Community and my family doctor didn’t have the experience necessary to treat me. The transgender friendly doctors I did visit didn’t exactly make me feel super comfortable either. I went to Spektrum Health originally to speak with a Therapist about gender identity issues I was having.They made me feel comfortable in a way that no one else did. After learning I could also seek treatment there I had a consultation with Joey where all my options were laid out and clearly explained to me. Joey explained every single possible step of a medical transition to me in a way I could understand! The best part was they let me know my options and took a step back and let me take my time deciding. It took me 2 years of therapy to come to a place where I was personally ready to transition, and they were there for every step of the way.I am 6 months into my transition and I am so incredibly grateful to the amount of care and attention that went into my treatment. Im happier than I have ever been thanks to all the lovely and friendly people at Spektrum Health. I recently relocated back to Orlando from Atlanta and was looking to restart PrEP. I’m so thankful I found this office. Everyone greeted me with a smile (I could tell even wearing a mask) and sooo nice. My visit went really quick but informative. And they had a great program that made my medication affordable. Thank you to the entire staff and I’ll see you in 3 months.

I have been going to Spektrum for awhile and the team and atmosphere is so amazing. I always am created coming in and leave with a smile. Honestly, so lucky to have a queer healthcare center that validates my gender. I would recommend this clinic to anyone looking to start HRT or looking for a new clinic. They do work with you if you dont have insurance, so dont fret about that.Phones can be odd but its some of the kinks of a new system. Calling and speaking to them is best.

Been going here since mid 2019. Ive been to almost every clinic that focuses and aids in LGBTQ healthcare and this has been by far the best. Especially since its one of the only that counts as a general physician vs a specialist on my health insurance so i can afford co pays! a lot of the kinks and issues i had with other locations i dont have here. everyone is always so friendly and the team always recognizes everyone. they even were beyond proactive and helpful when my pharmacy was giving me the run around with my prescriptions for months (especially Lana and Megan!). Florida may lack in a lot but its been a wonderful surprise and blessing to have such good and inclusive health care. Sometimes they have trouble getting rid of me cause I enjoy everyone who works there lol!

This is the best care I’ve ever received. I love being able to have all of my care (mental health, PCP, migraines) integrated in one place. The staff here is compassionate, friendly, and takes the time to truly get to know you. Joey is excellent at explaining how different conditions and medications interact in an easy to understand way. Everyone is very attentive to pronouns and making it a comfortable space for any LGBTQ+ person coming in. I can’t recommend this place more highly!

Spektrum Health is an amazing team of people. They helped this trans woman find her way onto the path to being herself. Its a safe place for me and anyone else in the LGBTQ+ community (as well as for allies!). They are very big on using your correct pronouns which helped me a lot in feeling comfortable. I love that I can see someone about hormones and other health needs as well as a therapist in the same building. It brings me so much joy walking in and seeing Lana, Megan, and/or Kim at the front. I cant tell you how important it is to have a good crew at the reception desk and they are all fantastic and caring! Ann is a wonderful therapist who helped me get the paperwork and put on me way to starting hormones immediately. She has a long history of working with the trans community and didnt bring any gatekeeping into it. And shes also wonderful at helping me work through my mental health issues beyond things related to being transgender. And the one leading everyone and helping patients is Joey. Hes the best health care provider I could ask for. Again, no gatekeeping, and he explains clearly every process Im taking as I medically transition. He, too, has been working with the trans community for a long time and knows what he is doing. Im so lucky I found him and everyone at Spektrum at the start of my transition. They work to make things affordable, including the blood work I need every few months (also, Megan draws my blood and makes it easy for someone who is terrified of needles)! Please, if you are looking for a place to start or continue your transition or a safe place that provides wonderful health care, go to Spektrum. They also offer telehealth options if you cant make it to the location.And if the Spektrum family is reading this, thank you for everything you do.
