This one by far is the best and Natalie is so professional knowledgeable and friendly. She knows what shes doing very detailed and precise cut. I love the special touch of the massage and sage spray before they begin and lets not forget the warmed towels around your neck for you hair wash. Love it 😀

Truly top talent — Joanna is indeed a short hair specialist, plus much more! She took the time to look at my face shape, hair type, and see what I wanted, what I liked, didn’t like from another salon’s haircut, (that wasn’t working for me, and my husband didn’t like) and best choices to achieve the look I wanted. She found a picture online and texted it to me and herself as a record of what we are working toward. She also is warm and kind, and wise. I was so pleased to meet her and enjoyed the expertise and excellent service. It was my first visit, and I am so glad I went. The scheduler was also very attentive and helpful with my crazy schedule that day, and went above and beyond to accommodate me. Can’t recommend Matthew Michael Experience enough!

I cant recommend this Aveda location enough. My stylist Nicole was beautiful and professional and gave me an excellent, thoughtful haircut. All of the staff was really sweet and helpful. Everything felt clean and they really provide a full service experience with drinks, shampoo and scalp massage. I have definitely found my local haircut spot and look forward to returning.

They completely messed up my hair and were so rude to me the entire time. I asked to pay partial payment because I didn’t feel comfortable spending $200 on something I hated. Then they called the cops and tried pressing charges. They got their money and lost a slice of their reputation. Below is what I asked for and what I got. The owner Michael kept bashing my character and saying how awful I am for wanting a hand out. The irony is, I offered to pay partial payment but felt full price was unfair. I don’t want free, horrible services. I wanted to pay for quality service. Unfortunately everyone good left the salon during the pandemic and now they are left with inexperienced and rude staff.

My hair was in bad shape and desperately needed a good hair cut and color. Joanna was a stylist angel. She gave me a diva cut for curly hair and freshened the color. It looks and feels so much better.

The stylist Shelley really helped me feel comfortable she’s so warm and friendly ...I decided to go for a cut and style that first day and felt comfortable enough to go back a week later for highlights - she helped me come up with a cut and highlight that would help ease me into having hair I’d enjoy .Shelley suggested some hair products that have kept my hair soft and shiny. It’s clean in the store and lots of precautions are taken seriously. Your temp is taken upon checking in.I felt pampered and so relaxed . I will go back again in a few months and go a bit lighter and get a trim.I’m so grateful to not just always have my hair in a bun/ponytail and have a bit of style again!— today I went back and got my highlight and long layers it looks amazing and I feel very confident and happy with the way it looks . At Matthew Michaels hair salon, I found the best stylist I have ever have. Michael calls his clients guests. They present a warm and welcoming place. Their sanitation procedures are over the top. Michael does require face masks, but he will dab a fragrance on your mask. How good lavender and peppermint smell. And the salon is cavernous, so I am more than 20 feet away from any guest. If you want the best hair, you need to visit Michaels salon. It has a soulful and loving atmosphere!

He cut, colored and styled my hair just the way I like it. He recommended products that would control the fizzy in the Florida humidity. I am so happy with his work that I am recommending him to all my family and friends.

I am so impressed with the service I received today. I found this salon and Shelley Simonazzi by the excellent reviews online, and I was not disappointed at all. I had some color issues with my hair (it was a huge mess from my last colorist), and Shelley was able to correct it. She is knowledgeable, skilled, professional, and really caring. I was not expecting the great results I got given the mess I came in with. I have another appointment already scheduled for next week, and will continue to come back. Johnathan was honest about time and cost, cut my hair just as I asked. He took his time with my color and got it just right (a small grey streak in the front). I am thrilled with my experience at this salon. I was in town visiting family and spontaneously decided it was time to get my hair cut after a year of growing it out. I called and got an appointment for just a few minutes later on the same day. It was easy to park and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. I could tell that many precautions were being taken to protect the health of the staff and the clients. The waiting area, salon, and restroom were all clean and everyone worse masks.Then I met Joanna. She did a thorough consultation about how I usually cut and style my hair and gave me excellent advice. Even though I didn’t come prepared with a picture or even a clear idea other than “short”, Joanna was patient, honest, and extremely knowledgeable. She gave me several suggestions to suit my low maintenance and active lifestyle and we settled on an exciting new style for me. Joanna was very friendly and we chatted while she worked on my hair. She also gave me many pointers about how to keep up the style and recreate it at home.I also had my eyebrows waxed. Usually I am very red and puffy for several hours after, but Joanna must be an expert because it was much more comfortable than usual and I didn’t have any of my usual post-wax pain. Also, I have a scar on one eyebrow that I have always thought made it hard to do my eyebrows nicely, but Joanna showed me how to work with what I’ve got and maintain the look at home. Joanna was so incredibly helpful and generous- she even took my picture and let me charge my phone for a few minutes before I left!Checkout was quick and I loved that I could leave a tip with my card (yay contactless!). Because of how luxurious and skillful the haircut was, I expected it to be more expensive than usual (but still totally worth it!) but I was pleasantly surprised to find it was comparable to what I typically pay at my salon at home.I’m over the moon about my new haircut! I didn’t know exactly what I wanted but this is definitely it! I have been going to the Winter Park location for the past 3 years and was so excited when they opened another excellent salon in College Park! The stylists are professional and talented, I learn new tips for styling my hair each time I go, and I always walk out feeling great about my hair. The aromatherapy scalp and shoulder massage included with haircut and pleasant, natural smell of the Aveda products create a relaxing spa experience. If about $45 for a haircut is in your budget, I would definitely recommend Matthew Michaels!

Got a great cut from Johnathan today! Showed him a picture of how I wanted my cut to look and it turned out awesome (a few inches taken off with some layering). Everyone was super friendly and they had plenty of COVID procedures in place (temp checks, masks, sanitizer, distancing). Have been going to this salon for a couple years now and am never disappointed.

I’ve been going to Matthew Michael’s Aveda salon in Winter Park for three years now. And fell in love with Willie’s work ever since. He is a true professional and makes my hair look fabulous every single time I visit!I recently visited their new location in College Park and loved it. Amazing space: a lot of natural light, very spacious and modern. Private parking is a huge plus. All the staff is very helpful and nice as usual.I highly recommend Willie! He is amazing!!

I had my hair cut w/ Shelley. I have shorter hair and I was trying to let it grow out which wasn’t working and she did a pristine job on my bob it’s absolutely perfect and I’m very picky about my hair!!! Also the salon was incredibly incredibly clean and I felt very safe With the steps they’re taking to keep everyone safe I highly recommend Both Shelley and the entire Matthew Michael’s salon it’s a wonderful experience!

Shelley Simonazzi did a fantastic job with my COVID neglected hair! She did fantastic highlights that made me forget that I hadn’t had a color in 6 months. And to top it off she is super nice and gave great suggestions. Definitely someone to see!

I have been a loyal Mathew Michael’s customer for over 5 years now. There is something to be said about the professionalism and family feel that they have. Everyone is always so friendly and welcoming. Willie is amazing at his craft. From his colors to blowouts, he always has me walking out feeling beautiful! If you want the perfect eyebrows, you have to see Lee...flawless every time! I had an appointment at the new College Park location today and loved it!

This place is amazing if youre a guy looking for a haircut or anyone looking to get their hair done. They have aroma scents that you smell and they give a neck massage and when you go to back room to get hair shampood they put hot wet towel over your face and give you a head massage. It is pricey for a haircut but you will not get that stuff anywhere else and if you found a place probably would be even more. I always go to Nicole who is an amazing stylist and very friendly person. Everyone there seems really friendly and I highly recommend this place. I wont go anywhere else. Ps. Since the pandemic they dont do the aroma scents or neck massage so hopefully virus goes away soon and they can resume them.
