The medical team and staff are so amazing here! Everyone is so kind and attentive! I have felt completely informed of all my options, they have been transparent about any challenges or issues I may have, and they are so sensitive and respectful of my needs and concerns. They make great use of their patient portal, and I always get same day responses on questions when I message the team. Sometimes you go to clinics and you never see the Doctor, unless theres an emergency. But Dr. Gehlbach made a point to meet with me during my initial consultation. That made me feel very at ease and sure that this was a clinic that cares. Best medical clinic Ive had in years, and I am so grateful I was recommended them. Ive passed along to my fellow service members that this is the best reproductive clinic in the area.

Struggling with infertility is soul-sucking and from my very first phone call with Mimi at MRC, I felt supported and I felt hope. Absolutely everybody in that office shows up to work everyday with a compassionate smile and a caring determination to help you through some of your hardest times.The NP was brilliant, she had reviewed my medical file prior to my appointment and memorized my test results!! She very clearly and with perfect detail outlined our plan.The nurses were so kind and compassionate when I had a mini-meltdown over needles.And Dr. Gehlbach was so easy to talk to, so knowledgeable, so patient and so understanding- I felt like we were in the best possible hands. I know that once I hit 10 weeks, if our precious pregnancy continues to evolve, I will be released from Dr. Gehlbach’s care to my OB and I’ll tell you I’m dreading it! I wish we could stay with Dr. Gehlbach throughout (and also, couldn’t he quickly become a pediatrician?!) as I trust him so entirely with our little embryo.I cannot more highly recommend this office. Results are never guaranteed (I’m remaining very cautiously optimistic myself) but the process- horrible enough as it is— has certainly be smoother and a little less painful thanks to MRC.

Dr. Gehlbach is superb, professional and nice. After 3 years of infertility issue, consulted and done lots of testing in other clinics. Finally, Midwest reproductive center diagnosed the reason for my recurrent miscarriages and treated me with right medications, i was able to carry baby to full term. He made my dreams of becoming mom and having my own kid came true. I couldn’t be more grateful!

The staff members at MRC are incredible! It seems like every appointment runs on schedule and were never left waiting for anything very long. They are compassionate and realistic. Dr. Gehlbach is very kind and always takes the time to discuss options, statistics, risks, and makes time for any questions that we have. I cant say enough positive things about this clinic and the people working there!

My journey to become pregnant was not so easy like others . I have gone one to another doctor to know what exactly happened to me and why I am not getting pregnant. Doctor Gelhbach is one of the best doctor I have to say because he found my problem and did the right treatment. And finally I am successful . This clinic is amazing. All of the staff, nurses, embryologist, and doctor were fantastic. They got me in for an appointment and treatment quickly and did an amazing job each step of the way. Highly recommend this clinic!

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Gehlbach and his entire team! They are highly capable, attentive to detail, and kind. This isnt our first fertility doctor experience, and Im so grateful we chose to work with Midwest Reproductive. Dr. Gehlbach and every member of his staff are thorough and patient, willing to answer all questions. They remember your name (and how to pronounce it-- such a nice change!). Dr. Gehlbach strikes the perfect balance of addressing the fertility issues head on while also seeking your input and not rushing into things prematurely. Another perk is that MRC has their own lab at the clinic. They have taken such good care of us-- we would recommend them to anyone!

Don’t waste your time anywhere else! After a year of horrible experiences meeting with other doctors, we found MRC. MRC’s staff is so kind, and they know what they’re doing. I always felt I was in very capable hands, and I could always trust that I was receiving the best plan and path forward in our journey to become parents. MRC has helped us not just once, but multiple times, now with our second child.

We have had such a great experience at MRC! Infertility can feel so defeating and our journey to become parents was not easy. Dr. Gelbach and the staff at MRC made us feel hopeful throughout. They are kind, compassionate, and knowledgeable. Our son is almost 2 years old after IVF. We moved away after he was born and decided to travel to KC so that we could try again at MRC. We are currently pregnant with our second from IVF as well! We absolutely love MRC and we are so thankful for their help!

We not only had a negative experience while at MRC, but just found out they didnt even give me an accurate diagnosis. We had a total of 3 IUIs with MRC for unexplained secondary infertility. The first IUI, Brittany came in and said when this doesnt work, next time we will....What kind of person tells someone the treatment they are spending money on isnt going to work? Why then am I doing it?We thought that maybe we just had a personality conflict with Brittany. After 3 failed IUIs we decided to go to a different reproductive endocrinologist in town. Within minutes of meeting them, we were told our AMH level was abnormally high, which Brittany had told us was normal. This led us to a diagnosis of PCOS, confirmed with ultrasound and other blood tests. MRC didnt even attempt to find out the cause of our infertility, but rather made us feel like they are out for our money only.We also found out due to our diagnosis, the medication Brittany put us on , for 3 cycles, is not recommended and actually ineffective!Im not one to try to deter others, but when it comes to something as sensitive as your fertility and growing your family, please think twice before going to MRC. There are other places in town, which are wonderful, compassionate, and educated!

The staff here was amazing from start to finish. Out journey was long and hard, but they helped us get through it. They answered all of our questions, worked with our schedules, and genuinely cared about all our concerns.

My experience was wonderful!! The staff was great, everyone was helpful and caring. My wife and I have twin boys via IVF. We have recommended several friends to this clinic and they say the same about there experience and has also conceived.. We are very happy that we chose this clinic.🤗

Dr. Gelhbach is kind, patient, knowledgeable, and very thorough. He listens well, has a good bedside manner, and is not pushy whatsoever. He allows you to make your own decisions after giving his professional opinion. He is very supportive and helps bring peace and joy to a difficult situation. As I type this Im holding out four month old miracle. We are so grateful for Dr. Gelhbach and staff.

Extremely frustrating experience, as if infertility isn’t enough stress! Since receiving treatment over approximately 5 months, Dr. Gehlbach made an appearance once for about 10 minutes (including a procedure). The “consultation” was very basic with no personal guidance and seemed very robotic. The main concern was getting their money, not my health or achieving our goals.

Billing issues, bad communication. Do your own research and advocate for yourself if youre gonna go there.

These people are vultures and riddled with billing issues. I strongly recommend finding anywhere else to go because otherwise you are most likely wasting your time and money. My fiance and I were patients a couple of years ago. We decided to use their services and picked a procedure to try. Everyone seemed so nice and they explained what to expect with both the procedure and the billing. The first two attempts were unsuccessful and we decided to try one more time. A few days before were were scheduled for our final attempt, we received a phone call from their billing department. The lady insisted that my insurance policy changed and so the insurance company would not pay for the medication needed to get my body ready for the procedure even though they had paid twice before. She informed me that I had to go to the pharmacy and buy the medication out of pocket, and administer it to myself before coming in. Both times prior to this, the medication was on hand at the doctors office and the nurse gave me the shot. Even though they said I had to pay for the medication out of pocket, and give the shot to myself, their charges did not change. I called my insurance company to find out why my policy changed since the term had not expired. They told me it had not changed. They said they had left several voicemails with Midwest Reproductive to let them know they picked the wrong option when submitting the claim. They could not get the billing department to take their call or call them back. My insurance company told me exactly what the billing lady needed to do in order to get everything back on track as it had been before. I called the billing lady and she refused to listen to me. She said that she had been doing the job for years and she knows what shes doing. I cancelled my appointment and never went back again. If I cant trust them to get their billing right how can I trust them to help make us parents? Now my fiance and I have decided to try again and we chose a different fertility specialist. We submitted medical releases to several doctors offices. Today I get a call from Midwest Medical. I was told that if I want them to release mine and my fiances records I would have to pay them $30.00. I know its just $30 but the fact that these people want more money from us and are holding our records and dream hostage pisses me off. They received thousands from my insurance when I was their patient and they cant just send the files over without more money in their incompetent hands. I let the lady who called know that none of the other doctors offices called me for money to send over our files and, two years ago, when we were their patient no doctors office charged us to have our records sent to them. She responded that different doctors offices have different policies and asked for my card number. She asked if I would like a receipt and confirmed my mailing address. I asked her to email it to me instead. She actually said...our office doesnt use email...its not safe. My degree is in cyber security. I let her know that with encryption it would be perfectly safe to send a receipt to me via email and with the amount of money they overcharge, even just for a medical record to be sent to another doctors office, they should be able to afford encryption services for their customers. She laughed. Like I said...these people are untrustworthy vultures and could care less about their patients. Do yourself a favor and find a different clinic that cares more about making your dream of becoming a parent come true more then their own pigheadedness and greed.

I cannot say enough about this practice! Everyone there is very informative, patient, and very kind. Yes, you do see a APRN most of the time instead of the Doctor but lets get real. There is only one doctor and a bunch of patients. And the APRN(s) know exactly what they are doing. As far as negative reviews about billing, theyre only human. But they do work with you to get things resolved. Overall there are no complaints from me. I will forever be grateful for my experience at MRC.

My experience with this office has been a nightmare! The 20 minutes I actually met with the doctor were great, but the rest of the time I dealt with nurse practitioners (plural) I do not know how many different nurse practitioners I met with, I think 3 or 4 but regardless I never saw the same one twice. I was given as little information as possible even when I asked for information I was not given it. I was given a shot once and asked the possible side effects, the nurse told me there will be none that are noticeable, come to find out the shot actually gives you side effects of being pregnant. When I confronted the nurse and told her out right she said well its not abnormal is there anything else you need? That was all they had to say. The doctor might be great but I highly DONT Recommend this practice. I was basically yelled at by a very rude nurse on the phone one day. Now I have been trying to get my medical records for 6 weeks. My records that I can access online are incomplete with little to no description of procedures that have been completed and absolutely no results of those procedures. I think this office is growing so fast that the left hand does not know what the right hand is doing. Find some where else especially if you have to pay out of pocket!

I’m sad to see so many bad reviews. We spent over a year with them going through IVF. Doctor was nice and so was the staff. I do believe there was some wasted money on frivolous tests, but whatever. In the end we got pregnant and now I have a healthy 9 month old!

My husband and I are both really glad we choose this clinic. The staff have all been wonderful - theyre kind, accommodating and professional. Over the course of our testing and cycles weve worked with all three APRNs and its been a very good experience. Our initial consult was very informative, all potential testing was laid out and we went over the different ART options and the costs for each. Theyve always made sure to get us on the schedule, including squeezing an ultrasound appointment in when they were fully booked. The lab staff are terrific as well. Unfortunately were still on our journey to have a baby but we know were in good hands with Dr. Gehlbach and the staff at MRC.Update: 1/21/2020 my husband and I welcomed our miracle baby girl on 12/24/2019. We started our IVF process on 1/31/2019, did our egg retrieval in March, transfer in April and got our positive BETA in May. Every step of the process was handled so well by the staff at Midwest Reproductive Center. When our APRN called with the best news of our lives she was tearing up on the phone, that’s how invested they are in the journey. We’re still adjusting to life with a newborn, but we know our 11 frozen embryos are in the best of hands. And that when we’re ready to expand our family again we’ll be doing so in a professional and amazing office.

Dr. Gehlbach and his team have been nothing short of amazing! I cant say enough about each staff member at this practice. When I first became a patient with Dr. Gehlbach, I imagined the scheduling would be a nightmare, but their office always tried their best to fit me in when they could accommodate me. They see patients on Saturdays, which has been helpful. Ive needed treatment from another doctor during my IVF process, and Dr. Gehlbach and his nurse practitioners have been so flexible about collaboration with this doctor. It really shows that all they want is to help their patients have a baby, by any means possible! Communication with their office is excellent as well. It doesnt matter if its the NPs or the billing dept. I ALWAYS get a call back within a few hours. Huge shout out to Kim, one of the NPs. She has spent countless minutes on the phone with me going over info and test results or anything else I needed. This process if often emotionally draining and she is always there to offer support and encouragement! If you need a reproductive endocrinologist, I cant recommend this office enough!

If you have EVER been seen here for ANY reason, I strongly recommend that you call and see if there is money on your account that is owed to you.

Great place for gallbladder surgery

Dr. Gehlbach took me on as a client when I had been turned away by another fertility specialist in Kansas City, MO. I was given very little hope by my 1st fertility doctor. I was told that I was perimenopausal and that my chances of getting pregnant were less than 10% and that my best option for conceiving was to use an egg donor. When I met with Dr. Gehlbach, he immediately made me feel at ease and hopeful. He thoroughly explained all of my treatment options and recommended a fertility plan. I successfully conceived after my 2nd IUI. Thank you, Dr.Gehlbach, for caring more about your patients than your IUI/IVF clinic success rate.

How to rate the man/clinic who helped make the impossible possible?...my wife said 5 and I say 4.5 stars, but I will round up to 5. I have to nitpick a couple things to make sure you know its an honest review.Pros:+Competent - Always able to answer our questions and provide us with as much confidence as he could reasonably be expected to. Although our very 1st attempt resulted in pregnancy, she miscarried after about a week, so we were worried about our chances. He helped answer all our questions and remained optimistic about trying again soon!+Our very next attempt was also successful and the baby is healthy as can be (5 months pregnant!).+Friendly staff - All staff were friendly and professional. The atmosphere before heading in to the procedures was light with some 80s Pop I was able to goof to while we anxiously waited.+Prompt and organized! They always returned calls quickly and wait times were better than you could expect.+Fair price based on market. We didnt use the financing, but those were made available to us had we not have had the savings.Cons (nit-picking):Wished they had explained the difference between the genetic tests just in case we would have inclined to do one I read up about. There are 2 possible tests.Before our miscarriage the 1st time, they left a message on my wifes voicemail right as they closed about how her levels werent normal. She was devastated and had no way to ask any questions about how likely a miscarriage would be. Even if they would be unable to provide us with many details, I would prefer she didnt get that on a voicemail unless there was an invitation to talk to someone about the news. We Googled like crazy and had no one to answer a question for better or worse. I think she could have called Dr Gelbachs cell, but she refused to bother him since she didnt know how serious it may be.(We did call Dr. Gelbachs cell on one occasion when the pharmaceutical distributor didnt send enough of one of the drugs, which aid the pregnancy. He assured us that he had the drugs there at the office until the shipment arrived.) Not a con, but shows you we probably should have called him when we were given the message so he could have explained the results to us that day.Overall:We both highly recommend Dr Gelbach (Midwest Reproductive) to anyone who is considering IVF. Its still a matter of chance and genetics, but he/they gave us this chance!

I was referred to these guys by my ob. I wait a week for them to call me as instructed. (my ob had sent a referral to them). They never bother. So i call them. After an extremely long phone call where the front desk woman makes it clear they never even glanced at my referral she makes it a drama that i want to see the doctor and not the nurse practitioner. Finally get past that issue and we go through the many many questions that these types of appointments generate. However we never finish a line of thought because she wants to come back to everything later. The phone call finally dies when she tells me they dont except my insurance. When I tell her that I already checked with my insurance carrier and they do in fact take it. She comes back with she doesnt know how to bill for it so same thing. OMG seriously. I declined a call back on monday from the billings department because at this point the office as proved itself too incompetent for me to trust my health with. Major disappointment.
