I found Dr. Bohn and staff to be professional and friendly. My only complaint about my office visit was a 45 minute wait for the doctor after being placed in a patient room. Fortunately , I didnt have to change into a flimsy flapper gown.I found Janet, Dr. Bohns Nurse Practitioner, to be very knowledgeable about the hip and the surgery needed to fix it. She was eager to answer questions, to make sure I understood what the surgery entailed. General questions concerning the first and second days of surgery would be answered in the hip class, sponsored by the hospital, that scheduled surgical hip and knee patient must attend one week prior to surgery. It was so helpful and calming to understand what would be happening in the first 2 days after surgery.Dr Bohn and/or Janet stopped in each day I was hospitalized. They made sure I was comfortable.I am now 15 day post-op bilateral hip replacement (yes, both, and in the same operation). I highly recommend Dr. Bohn, Janet and the staff at Johnson County Orthopedics.PS>>> It seemed that everyone I mentioned Dr. Bohns name to related some friend or relative had had surgery by Dr. Bohn and had excellent results. Not one person had anything negative to say about him or his care.

Dr. Bohn and his staff are amazing. They are very friendly and knowledgeable. You can tell they see a LOT of patients because the staff comes into the exam room with the hundred-yard stare in their eyes. Once you connect with them they come out of it though and provide great care.Four stars for one big reason: the TV in the waiting room. The channels the receptionists are allowed to choose are absurd. The first channel was infuriating. It some America-bashing morning show. After waiting for almost an hour I was fed up. Another patient was too and stood up to change the channel and was unable to because there were no buttons. There were about 12 people in the waiting area at this time and EIGHT of them said Yes... and PLEASE find something else. When he couldnt change the channel he asked a receptionist to and she changed it to some OTHER morning show to the displeasure of the people waiting. We do not want to see network TV. The guy was a bit combative with the receptionist and she wasnt exactly diplomatic about it. PLEASE turn it to HGTV or something where no controversial stuff is shown.

My husband had hip replacement 7 years ago. Dr. Bone is an excellent surgeon and my husband was up after surgery and recovery went perfect.

Ask him about particle disease, Never told me about particle disease until I got it then he told me he threw away my records and not to comeback. He misdiagnost it as bursitis. This was from pass hip surgery. Now Im in a wheelchair aswell.
