Was super nervous about going to the dentist since it had been a while but my mind was put at easy immediately. Front desk staff were super pleasant and greeted me right away. Amanda made my X-rays a flawless process and then talking with Dr. Anstead, she answered all my questions/concerns and was very thorough. One off the best experiences!

Great office! Staff was friendly upon arrival. I havent been to the dentist in some time so I was extremely anxious. Provider and staff did a great job at calming my nerves. This exam has to be the most thorough exam Ive had in all my dental experience. They walked me through the entire process and went over my treatment along with my dental benefits from start to finish to make sure I had a great understanding as to what was presented to me. I felt like they addressed all my needs . I now understand and appreciate how thorough they are with their exams . This office has General dentist along with pediatric and orthodontist in one location what a win win!! Will definitely be referring my friends and family here!

Everyone is very friendly and outgoing to make you feel comfortable and informed. They ask you if you have questions and are very clear in their explanations. They contacted my insurance on my behalf as well to help me financially too as well as having payment plans available. My best dentist yet 👍

From the time I come in the front office to the time I leave everyone is so warm and welcoming! On my first visit I needed four of my old fillings replaced. I was nervous since the first time getting them (at a different office) was a bad experience but I was quickly put at ease and walked through the financial aspect of the procedure, as well as what my options were. The procedure itself was 100X easier and I had much less discomfort throughout. Every visit has been great and I HIGHLY recommend this office to anyone looking!

The staff was extremely kind and communicative. Someone came in to explain my insurance and I was not rushed into anything. The Dr. was gentle and informative. I will definitely make this office my new dental home.

Olathe West Dentistry was very friendly and efficient. They did an awesome job with making me feel comfortable and relaxed for my partial crown. They were friendly and professional and made my time there a very enjoyable experience.

Great and friendly the only bad thing I can say is that if you are there for an appointment that is fitting you in bc they dont have a real appointment time. You should expect to wait. He was nice to fit me in even thought , I bet, it put a time crunch on a lot of the rest of his day.

Everyone in the office that I interacted with during my appointments felt genuine in all ways - from the given assistance and flexibility for the initial scheduling to ensure they could accommodate my needs as early as possible to the impeccable communication for a smooth transition throughout the developing plan of care, not only to myself but including between staff of all positions, down to checking-out with staff that provided a truly empathetic, compassionate, and considerate attention to my unique and individual personal situation. Hands-down would refer and recommend OWD to anyone and everyone! Ensuring my comfort and accommodating any needs that may have come about, they responded in a way that built connection, leaving the office feeling immensely cared for and valued. BONUS: They have a pediatric dental office that is connected, making it a great one-stop shop for the family to be taken care of!

I have had genetic dental issues all my life and this is the only office I have felt 100% heard and cared for! The staff is kind, knowledgable and make you feel relaxed. I would recommend this practice to everyone!

I am not satisfied with my experience at Olathe West Dentistry. I had an appointment last Thursday at 3. I was scheduled to have my teeth cleaned. I was there before 3, and the receptionist had me sign some papers. About 5 minutes after that she took me to the room with the dental chair. I sat for about 5 or 10 minutes , when a technician came to take me to have X-rays. I said I just had a bunch taken 6 months ago. My insurance only pays for X-rays once year. She checked and said if your insurance doesnt pay for It its free. Really? It was about 3:15 or 3:20, when I got back to the dentist chair. So I sat in there till 3:47 and a technician came in and put a bib on me and got the equipment table ready. So then I sat some more, till 4. I had enough and got up and walked out. I had come in for a cleaning. It was an hour later.To make matters worse, at my first appointment 6 months earlier in this office, the dentist was very condescending. He acted like everything I had ever done as far as dental care was wrong. He ordered multiple xrays (more than Id ever experienced at one time.) He wanted me to get two crowns, a night guard and refill many fillings along with whitening my teeth. Mind you,I had gone to the dentist twice a year for my adult life.Needless to say I will not be going back.

If I could give 6 stars I would. This office is amazing! I’m in town for one day - my crown popped off before I left Houston for KC. Olathe West Dentistry made me a new crown and got me back on my way in 2 hours. Jada, Danisha, and Dr Fechner were wonderful. I had a business meeting in the morning, got a new crown mid-day and then had another business meeting without missing a beat.

Dr. Anstead was so great! She talked me through everything and made me feel completely comfortable! Megan, Anjelica, Amanda and Jada were all super funny and awesome also! Honestly, this was the best dental visit experience I have ever had. And I am 45! 🤣

Such a fun and friendly staff, they are so patient and put me at ease when I became anxious during my visit. Anjelica the b.c. was so helpful and explained all my insurance coverage and finances so that I was fully aware of my end of the services. Dr. Fechner was so friendly and explained his recommended treatment to where I could understand what and why. I am excited to have a dentist office I can trust.

I generally dont go out of my way to write reviews - but given my anxieties with dentists in general, I wanted to share my thoughts. This place is awesome, very professional, thoughtful, supporting, and above all provides excellent dental services.From the moment you walk in and are greeted until the time you leave, youll be taken care of and communicated to through the entire process.The place is new and set up perfectly. Covid protocols are in place and followed.I had Dr. Stacie and she has been wonderful. Very supportive, educational, and explains things along the way. I needed a crown - and it went off without a hitch and I knew what was going on at all times. Her professionalism combined with her caring demeanor and confidence - was exactly what I needed.Kassy is the absolute best. Whatever they are paying her - its not enough. Shes great at her job and helped ease my fears and I wondered if she should also look into being a therapist. :)In general I would say - this is the place to go. But if you suffer from anxiety - I would strongly encourage you to check this place out.

Im one of those that doesnt enjoy the dentist but I cant say enough good things about this place and their expertise. Very clean and professional, everything was done with the ease of the patient in mind. Really happy with our new dentists. And the childrens office next door is amazing! My kids felt comfortable with their dentist.

Very nice people and very professional. I love that they are so close to my house! I had Dr. Anstead and my cleaning was by Mary.

Beautiful building. The staff is excellent! The receptionist is super friendly and enjoyable to talk to. Tran did my cleanings and she is excellent! Friendly, personable and explained every step to me. She let me know what she was doing, why and how it would improve my gum health. She explained what to do when I got home to improve my recovery. So happy to have a dental office so close to home with such an excellent team. Would definitely recommend to all!

As a very nervous patient, I had a great experience with OW Dentistry. I was able to take advantage of the in office crown service and am very impressed with the results. The staff is extremely experienced, kind, and gentle. The office and equipment are impressive. I am glad to have found them.

Dr. Robert Fechner was incredible!! Very upfront and informative! After the initial exam we went over a VERY detailed “plan” talking about ALL my options. Believe me, I’m the last one in line to go to the dentist, but i had instant trust in this man and won’t go anywhere else in Olathe! So thankful we found a dentist here!!

Fairly recently moved into the area and needed a new dentist. This practice is new, clean and bright ! The staff is very friendly, efficient and informative.Its just a very inviting and comfortable environment.Mary did my cleaning...gave me a very good cleaning. I am a coffee-holic and she did a great job of putting a bright smile back on my face. LOL. Seriously, it had been a few extra months since my last cleaning and it showed. She took her time, informed and showed me some details I had never seen before (she did it with mirrors:-). I will be back asking for her.Dr. Fechner is thorough and clearly knowledgeable. He gave me straight-forward information, which I always prefer. He offered our game plan and worked with me on moving forward steps.Beyond this, their initial exam cost structure was TOO good. This is the best dentist I have ever been to!!! Everything is so clean and modern! The staff is super friendly and upbeat. They are always in a good mood. They give off a vibrant energy and make going to the dentist a great experience. I hadn’t gone to the dentist in 2 years because I absolutely dreaded the thought of it, but Olathe West keeps me coming back. Dr. Fechner is easy to talk to, professional, and very put together which make a great impact. Angelica made my visit easy and got me back to the room super fast. Kassy was super sweet and engaging. Mary is the best!!! She informed me That my gums receded slightly and recommended a toothbrush that I went and bought that same day! Thank you Mary for being so engaging and aware!!!! She is so professional and I am so grateful for her informing me and taking the time to talk to me about my dental health. I loved knowing what I can do to prevent further damage. She is a perfectionist and takes time to be very detailed. This makes me feel at ease because we only get one set of teeth, they don’t grow back and dental work is so expensive! I have a partial set of veneers and I love them. I wouldn’t trust my teeth to anyone else. If you are looking for a friendly staff and an amazing experience- this is the place!

I was able to get in on their first day open and was completely blown away. This office looked like no other I had been to and despite it being their first day this staff had it together. Dr. Fechner was amazing!! I will be back and recommend this place to all.

I was supposed to be seen today at Olathe South dentistry. as someone with anxiety I did all of my pre-checks and explained what I needed. I called this morning to verify my appointment and a couple other things and was told that they didnt have me scheduled today at all.that is a huge problem because I needed a root canal and I have a tooth that badly needs addressed So they asked me to reschedule again or they would call their other offices to try to get me in. I agreed to be seen at a different office. They called me back to confirm that they could find one but they left the voicemail on my husbands phone. Once we finally got all of that squared away I spoke to the people at Olathe West and began to explain what I needed explained my anxiety so on and so forth Even spoke to the office manager who was incredibly kind. They asked me to come before my appointment to try to get enough time for everything so I did. And when I got here they took their sweet time with everything although the front desk lady and the assistant were very kind. I used extra PTO to get here early just to have my time not respected. And then things progressively got worse. I was panicking about being in the new place and the shuffle. Things that I had already explained to them. I wanted laughing gas because I usually use that to remain calm at the dentist but they charge $100 for it so I couldnt do that. I told them about my PTSD and panic disorder and about my preference with having my blood pressure taken, expecting that its going to be high in a new place and how Ive been instructed by my doctor to just retake it when I get home. They took it and made a big deal about how it was high. I told them that I had already informed them that it would be. They wasted more time, an hour and a half after arriving they still not had started the procedure that I scheduled for. And then the dentist sent the assistant and again to take it my blood pressure again because she was worried about it. And that sort of thing makes me panic and is exactly what I asked them to not do. So then all of their attention turned to doing all the things that make my panic and PTSD worse, talking to me in a very condescending tone. Im 33 years old and Ive been in therapy for a long time as well as being closely followed by my primary doctor and they disregarded all of that. It was humiliating and the more I got worked up the more that was used as an excuse to not feel comfortable doing my procedure. I was not angry, I was crying and silent and panicking because they werent listening to what I told them. The dentist refused to do the procedure and I wound up leaving with nothing being done to my tooth despite it desperately needing it. I lost 4 hours of PTO at my job. And most importantly, I have another negative experience with the dentists that only makes my PTSD worse. The dentist here definitely could benefit from additional training about mental health issues. It took me nearly a decade to get to the point where I could even walk into a dentist office without being medicated and she undid all of my hard work because she wanted to act like she knew better than my medical doctor and my mental health professionals. Had I known this would been the approach I obviously would not have come here. And I should have just canceled the appointment from the beginning with all of the communication breakdown this morning. I was a fool to have faith in them and their services for sure.The dentist claimed that with me panicking because of my panic disorder (panic for me just looks like getting real flushed and stiff and most of my panic stays internal) and a blood pressure spike because of my PTSD, that it was unsafe for her to do what I had come for. but I cant help but wonder if a big part of her unwillingness to trust my doctors had anything to do with the fact that She had wasted enough time that if she had done what she was supposed to do, she would not have been able to leave on time because the office closes at 5pm.

This place is excellent. I went in for an emergency tooth extraction. I was extremely nervous due to the last experience I had at a diffent practice. But these guys performed way beyond my expectations. It was quick, the local anethetic was applied in such a way I felt no pain at all. They informed me onTreatments that I didnt have any knowledge of and had never been offered before. They worked with me on payments and overall the staff was cohesive and well organised. They truly worked together and felt like that cared for me and my problems. They were extremely professional, and at the same time, personable. I definitely will be going back and I highly recommend them to any who need dental care.
