Dr. Marinescu is empathetic and an excellent doctor and surgeon. He made sure I was informed and comfortable at every stage of my care. Dr. Marinescu and his staff are incredibly caring people. I found Dr. Marinescu through my daughter who had been referred by her primary. Unfortunately my daughter and I shared some of the same issues. She had surgery in April and I had mine in June 2021. Dr. Marinescu and his team were very understanding about my situation and for the first time in six years and three different doctors my problems were taken seriously and he gave me hope. It brought me to tears. There are not enough thank you to express how grateful I am. The surgery went well but due to my age I need extra help and medication has been prescribed.The girls in the office worked very hard with me get the pr-op tests done, worked with my primary physician and my insurance to get me ready to go for surgery. they were amazing, thank you, ladies!All in all, I had a great experience with D. Marinescu and I just again, want to say, thank you for helping me get my life back!!!

I researched OBGYNs experienced in ovarian complications and immediately knew that Dr. Marinescu was the right choice for me and I have put myself in very capable hands. I visited 5 other gynecologists, who frankly were pretty arrogant and disrespectful, questioning my pain, to find answers about what could be causing me so much pain. The answers I got were: constipation, not getting pregnant, and having period for too many years, or that I need to start taking hormonal treatment. Their ultrasounds found nothing, and the doctors said they would need to perform exploratory surgery to find out what was wrong, but they didnt want to do it, as they did not believe me or said it might be very risky surgery.As an European, I am used to excellent medical quality service being provided, but I found that I was getting pretty desperate from the lack of answers and help I was receiving from other doctors. Then I came to Dr. Marinescu, who discovered the problem right away. He was very polite and treated me with respect. He was professional and fixed the problem with minimally invasive surgery, and I was home the same day. I only regret that I didn’t find him sooner, and didn’t waste my time with those other hack jobs. It would have saved me 2 years of unbearable pain and suffering. Dr. Marinescu cares about his patients, and not about himself or money, as other doctors do. He explains everything and makes sure that patients receive the treatment and care they need. I know that for any future needs for a gynecologist I may have, Dr. Marinescu will be the doctor I visit first and foremost. Honestly he is so nice and amazing, that if I could, I would like him to be also my dentist, general doctor, dermatologist etc. And I cant forget his amazing staff. Such a nice ladies. Dr. Marinescu is an extremely knowledgeable and professional Gynecologist. I have been seeing him for over 3 years now and he has always been thorough and taken time to explain procedures and results after each visit. He performed a laparoscopy to assess possible endometriosis and the procedure was painless and so was the recovery. His staff is also friendly and very helpful. I definitely recommend him!

*1,000 stars*I trust Dr. Marinescu 1000%!! He saved my life during my second pregnancy with emergency surgery, I had to have an emergency hysterectomy due to excessive bleeding that didnt stop. His expertise, demeanor and advocacy shine bright. The real life super hero! I am beyond grateful.I had two pregnancies both delivered at Hoag with Dr. Marinescu second pregnancy turned into an emergency on 11/30 since I had postpartum hemorrhaging and needed to have a hysterectomy to save my life, I could see and hear he did everything he could to save my uterus and avoid this the entire time. I did not have any fear I had complete trust in doctor Marinescu as I could hear him directing and redirecting other medical professionals beside him on what needed to be done to save me and being my best advocate. He knows exactly what to do in times of emergency, and thats when it matters most. If it wasnt for him being there I dont think I would be here. He jumped into action and turns into a lion to make sure he saves you. Dr. Marinescu is the reason I am alive today to enjoy my two boys (he both delivered ) and husband.He is beyond excellent in both general womens health and prenatal care, I have been a patient since 2017, during my womens checkups and prenatal care he always has a calm and caring bedside manner allows you to not be a walking ball of stress if you worry about the small things. He is also very responsive anytime I had a question he responds and it feels like you are his only patient. I dont know how he does it! Also if other specialist doctors need to get a hold of him while your pregnant he is very responsive in responding to them all. The ladies in the front office are also wonderful and always friendly and attentive, I always get seen upon arrival which is respectful of everyones time. You are in great hands, he has a patient for life and I wouldnt trust anyone else.

Ive been seeing Dr Marinescu for 5 yrs since we moved to SoCal. He has preformed 2 very successful surgeries as well as the normal obgyn yearly care. Dr. Catalin and his staff are amazing, our case little complicated(Twins) but Doctor Catalin handled it in great manner. My experience at this office has been wonderful. I too have had a difficult couple of years with bleeding problems and the doctor never encouraged me to have any surgery until we knew exactly what was going on. He was never pushy about the way he wanted things to go and as always let me make the decisions regarding how we move forward. He has given me every report and every copy of bloodwork Ive asked for. He is also very kind and respectful at all times. The office staff is about the best Ive ever felt with.

What can I say, number of stars does not possibly dictate the level of competency Dr Marinescu and his staff has shown. My wife went to Dr Marinescu with a level 4 endometriosis exhibiting a frozen pelvis and 3 different ovarian cysts ranging from 16cm, 5cm and 4cm in size that are giving her unbearable pain and fluctuating high temperatures for the past month.After visiting many other top rated OBGYNs around the OC and greater LA area (some of which are well reviewed and publicized) in hopes of solving her conundrum we are dumbfounded at some of the recommendations given. Plainly put it, while a few believe her condition is too great for them to treat and others are felt like they are just out for money, none had the confidence to acknowledge our main concern for the need to keep her ovary(s) so that we can have a greater chance at having children later. One well publicized doctor didnt even bother to look at her ultrasound and told us after meeting for 5 minutes that he will have to cut her open down the middle due to the size of her cyst which would be impossible to remove via laparoscopy and that she also will likely lose one of her ovary for certain as the largest of the cysts has already enveloped it. While we understand that doctors never give out promises, we would have appreciated more positive attitude and reinforcement which goes a long way of foreshadowing his bedside manner we as patients all look for and that apparently had been a common negative reflection among other reviewers.Dr Marinescu on the other hand come well regarded from all the research that we have done and his calm demeanor facing my condition brought comfort and confidence to me that he will be able to do a good job. One 2 hour long laparoscopy and a 2 week recovery later, we are EXTREMELY happy to say that my wife is cyst free and she have BOTH of her ovaries in tact! Not only did Dr Marinescu diagnosed her condition correctly, he also accurately diagnosed the issue dealing with an infection that was causing the fluctuating temperatures related that need to be addressed prior to surgery which would have gave complications if not caught beforehand. His skillful execution with robotic surgery helped remove the large cyst without cutting her wide open, and of course help saved that particular ovary at the same time. His due diligence also made sure the surgery center staff was keeping a watchful eye on her while she stayed overnight at surgery center for post op recovery.I could not give enough recommendation for Dr Marinescu and his practice. I believe there is no condition too great or complex for him to handle. So if you are suffering from any particularly unique condition and are turmoiling over what to do or how to treat it. Call Dr Marinescu ASAP. And if you gain the level of trust in him as we have, you will not be disappointed in the result. We on the other hand have found our OBGYN for when me and my wife are expecting, and will see Dr Marinescu in the future on a more joyous note!

This was our first baby and our experience with Dr. Marinescu was outstanding. Due to a move we transferred to Dr. Marinescu at the 20 week mark and we could not have been more pleased. While he was professional, knowledgeable and friendly during all of our monthly/weekly visits, it was during the delivery that having Dr. Marinescu as our doctor was truly a blessing. Our baby had to be delivered by forceps and we later learned, from the nurses, that a forceps delivery is a “lost art” and had we not had Dr. Marinescu as our doctor we would have likely had a c-section. His skill, experience and knowledge with a forceps delivery and relaxed, yet focused, demeanor made the birth of our baby truly enjoyable. More so, he was always present during the course of labor and in turn created a safe, supportive environment. We are so grateful to have found Dr. Marinescu and to have been in such good hands during the pregnancy and delivery!

My husband and I are extremely grateful to Dr. Marinescu for guiding my pregnancy through a very difficult period. I experienced pre eclampsia during the last few weeks of my pregnancy. Dr. Marinescu is a very good doctor, and I am very grateful that I can meet him to diagnose my twin baby. In China, my babies did not check out any problems, but after arriving in the United States, Dr. Marinescu immediately discovered that my babies had twin-transfusion syndrome and were admitted to the hospital in time. When I first arrived in the United States, I had a lot of choices for Chinese doctors and foreigners. I also visited several clinics and interviewed several doctors. I heard that some Chinese doctors did not personally witness each time during the inspection.
