I could not give higher accolades for Dr. Somners. He was great with my son and even got him to be ok with the idea of getting a shot. Thats huge for him!

I have been a patient of Dr. Somers for almost 30 years. He is a very caring and considerent doctor. I would tell anyone who would ask, that they would love having him for their doctor. My experience with the Newport Family Medicine and their doctors, staff and services is excellent.

Message from my husband - Chuck Graham :Boy did Jack Mesna go to the wrong person for help. He had some cancer on his face and head that needed to be burned off, too bad Somers did the procedure, if Jack would have been sent to an out source office they would have did follow up procedures,a blood test or xray to make sure he is in the clear, but no he did the procedure and sent him home.This was early in 2013 then Jack came back in May of 2014 loosing 14 pounds a month and shortness of breath and weezing, and tiredness, and a hoarse voice, which are symptoms of cancer in oneminute on the internet. Oh, he is a so called doctor right he sends him home saying Jack you were once a smoker its emphasema. Okay, hot shot your entitled to your own opinion but just incase you are wrong you should give him a blood test or xray just to make sure your right. Dont play with someones life on your own opinion. You were dead wrong and in July of 2014 Jack Mesna was diagnosed with full blown lung cancer, bone cancer, and lymph node cancer, and too late for another opinion of yours. I, myself, went to doctor Somers for pain in my back and shoulder and right arm he touched my elbow and said have you ever thought of getting a colinoscopy. Hey buddy I came here for my pain for help wow I was in shock. Later I went to emergency on my own it was torn tendens in my shoulder.Well Jack Mesna Died and I dont think this guy should be in practice. My wife called Somers, and said why didnt you give my Dad, the tests he needed, he came to you for help. Somers answered, Would a, Could a, Should a. Oh yeah, If you would of, like you could of, he should of lived. What a thing to say to a family member, you have no respect for life. You should not be in practice, and the medical board should revoke and take away your license forever.
