I have quite the fear of any type of surgery, and Doctor Ostro is completely aware of your feelings/ concerns! He is so kind, attentive, and knows exactly what he is doing! I will definitely be recommending this place to everyone I know and especially since they also do regular teeth cleaning, whitening, and more. The two nurses and just entire staff as a whole are incredibly kind! They made the entire experience of my wisdom teeth removal so amazing! Thank you so much again guys! 🤍

WARNING!!!!WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!! NEVER NEVER NEVER COME TO THIS PLACE!!DON’T believe the positive reviews, they are probably fake. Look at all the bad reviews!1. UNPROFESSIONAL and CARELESS: Dr Ostro left two stitches in my month, I felt uncomfortable, went back to the office asking for a checkup, he claimed everything was fine and sent me home and saying it could be my illusion. After going back home still feeling uncomfortable, my friend helped, and pulled out the stitch using her hand.After that, I wrote review on zocdoc stating the situation, he never apologized but told me he was unhappy about the review. He asked me to remove the zocdoc review in exchange for $1000 discount, I refused and stand by every word I wrote.2.ONLY CARE ABOUT MONEY: I went there knowing he is in network with my dental plan, but he said my procedure would be medical not dental. Never disclosed he is out of network with my medical insurance. When I went over my plan: deductibles and copay with the office, they tricked me into believing they are in-network and asked me to pay in-network deductibles.3.CRAZY BILLING:I went there for a simple mucocele removal, I pulled the average cost for the same procedure at zipcode 10019, the average cost is ~$300, highest is $950.Guess how much he asked? 3200!!!!! That’s 10 TIMES HIGHER than average cost from BCBS cost estimator.Also I don’t need a tooth xray, but he asked me to do one without even knowing what my problem is. And he billed 495 on tooth XRAY, which he should totally send the bill to my dental insurance since he is in network.4.HIS LICENSE WAS SUSPENDED IN IL, he was involved in multiple malpractice law suits, checkout the news on google

This dude only cares about money. 1) He was complaining throughout the whole procedure, saying how difficult the procedure was and how he didnt like to do these type of procedures. 2) He charged my credit card, overcharged the insurance company and was still saying I owed him money despite the fact that the procedure was unsuccessful and needed to be redone. Worst experience ever.. I do not recommend this oral surgeon.

My wife was looking online for a 4 to 5 stars oral surgeon and she found this one. She went to him recently to have a procedure done with the referral of her orthoontist. We are not satisfied at all with his service. He is very expenssive for an in network provider, unprofessional and only cares about money.

I have never left a review before, but Dr Ostro was so wonderful I felt I needed to. He really made my wisdom teeth removal as smooth of a process as possible - got me in really quickly, worked to come up with a plan that was relatively affordable for me, and was generally very kind. His nurses, especially Yvette, were so nice, too. Overall, I would highly recommend.

Dr. Ostro is a caring and compassionate dentist.He is also very patient and answers any questions your may have and also knows how to calm your fears. My dental procedure requires multiple visits and each time I am provided with superb patient care.The office staff is also very welcoming, efficient, and demonstrate great professionalism.I have visited the office twice since the covid epidemic and feel quite safe and protected.

Dr Ostro and his wonderful staff are the real deal. They are warm, friendly, courteous and professional. Dr.Ostro has done amazing work on my teeth. He saved two front teeth for me that every dentist recommended to extract. His perio work is tops, and he is very caring.

I’ve never had a more comfortable dental procedure done than with this doctor. He had my wisdom tooth out before I even realized he did it. The extraction took probably less than a minute, with zero discomfort or pain. I also had very little pain and no swelling post procedure.The doctor and his staff were all extremely nice and friendly; you almost forget you’re at the dentist’s office. They talked me through every step of the process and helped me feel at ease at all times. I definitely recommend this practice and I will be coming back for any other procedure, either for myself or my family might need.

I had a pretty painful dental emergency and my regular dentist was not available so after calling around to about 4 or 5 different dental offices, all of whom did not have any appointments available, I found Dr. Ostro where I was able to make an appointment for that day.The office is very cleanly and the staff are all so warm and friendly. Dr. Ostro handled my wisdom tooth extraction with perfection! Him and his staff put my mind at ease before the procedure and took away any doubts that I had going in.We opted to have just local anesthetic and the extraction of 2 wisdom teeth only took about 15 min total. I felt like I was in and out in no time at all. No pain at all just some quick pressure and that’s it.It also just so happened to be my birthday on the day of the procedure and Dr. Ostro and staff sang Happy Birthday to me after the extraction. It was so thoughtful and kind of them.The post op went great and there was hardly any pain or swelling. Honestly it was all as perfect as these things can go!I would definitely recommend Dr Ostro to anyone searching for an oral surgeon in NY!
