Im sharing this to save someone the pain and frustration my friend is currently experiencing. My friend had their wisdom teeth removed at this office two days ago. The experience was far from positive. When my friend arrived the staff was unfriendly and demanded that he pay for the procedure before they started anything. While I understand that they are running a business, this can be jarring for someone that is already nervous about being put under and getting a surgery. After being forced to pay upfront, they then had my friend wait for about an hour before they event started the procedure - despite there being a SCHEDULED appointment time. Lastly, my friend told the surgeon and the staff that he was allergic to the antibiotic, Amoxicillin. However, no one listened. My friend picked up medicine from the pharmacy and later saw it was Amoxicillin. The staff and dentists negligence could have killed him. There has been little apology or attempt to correct anything from the staff or dentist. PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME, MONEY AND PATIENCE ON THIS PLACE.

I have been a patient for a few years now of Dr Brisman’s, I’ve had plenty the tooth extraction at the office. Recently I had the opportunity to get Dental Implants done at his office. Which came out AMAZING, I can’t stop smiling! Dr Brisman is kind and caring, efficient, funny, and most of VERY SKILLED AT WHAT HE DOES! His office staff, Jose, and the other 2 ladies that work there are so nice, and comforting. I feel horrible I can’t remember their names. Would I go through this all again, know what DI entails, yes as long as it was Dr Brisman again. Thank you guys for helping me feel like a human again, but importantly, like woman, and attractive woman. I LOVE YOU GUYS!!

All I can say is, what an amazing Dr and staff. Dr Brisman is God sent and I am indebted to him eternally. I havent smiled like this in over 15 years and he does such amazing work. He is worth every penny and more.

For a dentist that is located in El Barrio where there are people of low income his prices are extremely high. He knows this is office has been there for years. A tooth extraction with x-ray and examination $550 they dont take fidelis and the receptionists lacked empathy for the pain I explained I had. If you can not service everyone than you should not be in El Barrio. Shame on you.

Everyone is super nice and caring. Got my three wisdom teeth out and wasn’t as bad as I thought it be. Definitely go there if you can!

10/22/2020 Dr. Brisman performed oral surgery removing 2 of my teeth. I have always had a fear of dentist. The staff at this office were so nice and made me feel at ease. Jose was the best. He took his time with me and answered all of my questions and concerns. Dr. Brisman what can I say about him. He is the best. I opted for anesthesia but woke up ready to eat! Hardly no pain. A little discomfort but no pain. I hope I am some form of help to someone having reservations about oral surgery. But I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Brisman when it comes to oral surgery. He takes his time and addresses all of your concerns. And he does not try to rip you off. If you dont need it he will tell you you dont need it. Moving forward, no one else will perform oral surgery on me if needed.

I had a very good experience here! I went to this office for the first timethe first week of December 2020 for wisdom tooth extraction. Dr. Brisman did a wonderful job removing the wisdom teeth. I told him which two I needed to have out and he said okay well have those done in about 10 minutes. I laughed thinking he was making a little joke. However, he was serious. I have had experiences on two separate occasion where I was in the chair for half an hour to 45mins which was, to say the least, uncomfortable. So I was grateful to be out so quickly. The dental assistant and receptionist were both very nice as well. It was overall a very good experience.

My daughter had an appointment to have have her wisdom teeth removed in early March 2020, pre-covid. The staff was extraordinary in their efforts to quell any concerns that my daughter and I had about the procedure. Dr. Brisman was the consummate professional. I would highly recommend him to anyone who requires professional dental work. Shout out to Jose and the rest of the staff. Keep up the great work.

Dr. Brisman is amazing, and would recommend him for anything. Painless, comfortable, and the staff is very caring. Even walked me to the pharmacy after my surgery, and told me to call them when I got home.

The staff was great! I had a wisdom and tooth extraction at once and it was painless. My nurse / X-ray tech was amazing, Jose at the desk is super sweet and Dr. Brisman is so calm, passionate and explains the whole process including why things are done the way that they are. Gave me a real plan of how we’ll proceed to make my teeth better and stronger. Highly Recommended! Not to mention SUPER fast!

I had 4 teeth that needed removal and after seeing negative reviews of another office I tried out Dr. Brisman. The place was clean and the courteous personnel friendly and polite; Jose at the front desk was efficient and got me in quickly. Dr. Brisman was professional and reassuring and treated me well. The worst part for me is always the anesthesia but that went well and there was little swelling and little need for painkillers. My gums healed and despite a bone shard that took 3 weeks to fall out all went well. I am glad I chose to useDr. Brisman and would happily recommend him. Great service and amazing staff. Had my implants done here and they look great. The implants helped me regain my confidence and make me appear much younger. I highly recommend going here if there is anything you need to get done.

I called and made an appointment with Jose which his customer service was beyond great and doctor Brisman was fantastic my daughter got 4 wisdom teeth pulled out and quickly. Didnt have insurance but Jose gave me a great price considering with the academic happening. But Im very grateful for them helping me in this bad time. My personal experience when trying to schedule an appointment was horrible! I was left on hold for long periods of time. I also had to deal with two different rude receptionist. I will be taking my business else where. I’m not big on reviews... but I couldn’t believe the lack of customer service.

Don’t believe the negative reviews. I went to Dr.Brisman as a last resort and he should’ve been my first resort! Having issues with a retreated root canal we came up with the game plan to extract the affected tooth, place a bone graft and once healed I will be doing my implants with him. He was extremelyyyy thorough with taking a CAT scan to make sure we were targeting the correct tooth. It’s a week after my extraction and bone graft and I am already feeling relief and confident in the care I am receiving. I had an issue with my prescription it was rectified immediately personally by Dr.Brisman, and recently I started having a sour taste in my mouth and was concerned and Dr.Brisman called me right away to help alleviate my concerns. Not sure what type of care people expect but Dr.Brisman is direct, informative and professional. Very thankful!- Laura H.

Had upper and lower implants done and they came out excellent. The staff was always welcoming and professional. The confidence in my smile has returned !

I was referred by my general dentist. The wait wasnt long. The staff was great and the procedure was pretty fast. I was in so much pain and Dr. Brisman walked me through every step, very informative and passionate. I had 2 extractions done. He was amazing. I would refer anyone to him.You guys Rock!!!

Excellent surgeon. Answered all my questions and I went under general anesthesia confident and assured. I recommend paying before getting your wisdom teeth extracted but I was presented with the option to pay after. I do wish the billing Dept. would have explained to me that the reason Guardian wasnt paying for my x-ray was that I could only get panoramic x-rays done every 3years. But that was an issue with his staff, the surgeon is excellent. Today is day 4 after surgery (3 wisdom teeth pulled) and I feel great!

The dental implants service that theyre offering is way cheaper compared to other dental clinics out there. No hidden charges and they did an excellent job on me. The experience is just amazing!

Completely unprofessional office filled with rude and ill-mannered admins. I waited nearly 45 minutes for an appointment and was never informed as to what the hold up was. After I told the guy at the desk I couldnt wait any longer who assumed an attitude and all but threw my insurance card back at me. I advise folks to go to one of the other 100+ oral surgeons in the city.

Amazingly kind staff, and easily in and out the door. but the aftermath of my extractions was anything but amazing and easy. i had to wait for 4 hours for the painkiller prescription to be sent to my pharmacy even though there were only three other patients in the office today. i called the office four times and each of them rang for so long they hung up on their own. we had to reach out to oral surgeon on his personal number and ask where my prescription was and this problem was seemingly resolved 2 hours later. when it was finally sent to my pharmacy it was under my dads name and birthday even though they never took down his information(???).

To Dr. Brisman and his wonderful,professional,sensitive staff ,you made my experience getting implants a pleasure not the torture that a person would expect.l totally would recommend this clinic,and Dr. Brisman to all that might need surgery or implants. George B.

This is the BEST dental office Ive ever been to.Staff is friendly, warm and they treat you like a family member. Doctor Brisman is Great, compassionate and takes his time to explain the procedure being done to you without rushing you out his office. I would recommend this place a million times!!!!!!

Amazing experience with Dr. Brisman and his staff. They do amazing work with dental implants and they allow walk-ins with no appointment. The staff is very friendly and even though they were busy, they still made time to talk with me about tooth implants. Very happy with the care I received here.

Tooth extraction went fine. However it was done on a Friday and Monday was a holiday. Turns out they never send my antibiotics or my pain meds to the pharmacy....Luckily I still had some left over from a recent surgery

Absolutely the best experiences I have ever had with a dentist. The procedure was quick and pain free!!! Just felt a few pinches from the anesthesia, but not a big deal!! I definitely recommend this place. Dr. Brisman responded to all my questions and answered frankly about my needs. I have had bad experiences in the past visiting oral surgeons and I finally found an exceptional one.THANK YOU SO MUCH!!Oh yeah and I was out of there in less than 2 hours!!

Long wait but once i was in there service was Great. The dental assistant was cool and Dr. Brisman, DMD was awesome!!! Pulled wisdom tooth while i was awake didnt feel a thing. I wasnt too sure if Tylenol was an Nsaid but he prescribed correct medication due to my allergy. Thanks doc

I took my son on Monday . The office staff and doctors were very polite and did their best to help my little one.

I had to have four teeth extracted last week Thursday and found Dr. Brisman on my insurances website. My appointment was for 11:30 A.M., but I wasnt seen until about 2:30 P.M., which is why I didnt give five stars. I had my four teeth extracted on the same day and there was virtually no pain, even after the numbing wore off. Dr. Brisman performed the surgery in about 10 minutes. I am very pleased.

Entire office is completely unprofessional. From the office managers to the front desk to the doctor. Administrative staff including the office manager is completely incompetent. They will have approvals for months & will not call patients until the patients call wit pain, come in personally or have to file grievances with their ins. They lie to the patients about appeals, approvals and denials. They had an approval from my insurance since 5/17 & havent said anything of it the 15 times that I HAD to call to check and each time they said it was denial. ( INS approved it in may but they claim it was incorrect.) After 4 months of waiting & playing their phone games, I come in personally, andask to speak & explain to Dr Brisman the situation of his authorization staff, The doctor claimed his manager was away for 3 WEEKS (its been 4 months now) and shes the ONLY one who can do it. The doctor is also rude and dismissive when you have proof, documents and facts prepared. They have an assistant manager who never knows whats going on or how to direct patients in pain. Be careful coming here as this office does insurance fraud and malpractice when it comes to dealing with wisdom teeth pain. They bill insurances for unnecessary services & procedures and blame your insurance for the run around and lack of payments when they do NOT bill correct codes or keep track of their work. They dont offer any palliative care to their patients in pain. When I asked they told me automatically my insurance doesnt cover and I would have to pay out of pocket right then and there if I wanted the care (WHICH MY INS DOES COVER). Completely unprofessional and disregarding. Especially of wisdom teeth and pain, they will throw you under the rug if you do not know what your speaking of. So educate yourselves and be prepared for their lies and run around.

I was in New York about two weeks ago visiting family. While there, my wisdom tooth started hurting really bad. I called Dr. Brismans office and they were able to get me in the same day.The office is quaint and has a homey feel to it. The atmosphere is very calm which is great when youre afraid waiting for your first oral surgery to begin.I was nervous but Dr. Brisman talked me through the process and made me feel better. You can tell this guy really knows his stuff. I felt super confident that I was in good hands.The procedure was over really fast. I didnt feel ANY pain, which was surprising because all my friends said it hurt when they got their wisdom teeth taken out.I give this business 5 stars because the surgery was painless and the doctor was super kind and caring.

Went there for my husband. Staff is extremely kind and caring however the dentist has a huge anger problem and cannot control his emotions over the phone when addressing financial issues regarding patient care. He is unprofessional and money hungry.

They charge $150 just to see the doctor and then they will try extra for the smaller treatment like re glue a crown (extra100) OVERPRICED!! Don’t even wast your time there and your money!!!!

While I was in NYC, I had a problem with my implant and needed to see a surgeon immediately. So glad I found Dr. Brisman. He was able to take me in right away and so thankful he did. Dr. Brisman is by far the best dental implant surgeon in NYC!

Do not come here. I had severe swelling and pain from a wisdom tooth extraction for several days and never received a prescription for pain medication.

The staff was pleasant but Dr. Brisman is not a great communicator we left with many questions. His bedside manner was horrible and not to mention he is very rude and unprofessional. Needless to say we did not proceed with the followup appointment. I would not suggest this dentist to anyone!

The neighborhood should be very grateful for having such a wonderful and professional oral surgeon in upper Manhattan. The doctor is very personable and treats all his patients with the up most respect and medical care possible.

I went to Dr Brisman in pain and depressed he made me feel better and Im not depressed anymore because I am getting my Implants

The one star is for the front staff, excluding the doctor and xray tech. First time there i ask if they accept my insurance. The receptionist with the glasses says to wait a minute. I waited 5 long minutes while she got up, finally decided to return to her area to the sit and ignore me-im RIGHT in front of you. I ask the other one-who can be rude and snap at you- to help me. She answered my simpme question. I tell the lady, who answrred me, if they needed info from my dental office...she says not necessary. When i see the doctor he asks if i have a referral or papers from my dentist. HOW LONG were these ladies employed there?!😒. I was to be prescribed AMOXICILLIN-Do you actually READ Patient ALLERGY info??!! Obviously not. I had to tell them that. I completed the Pharmacy of choice form. Put in Pharmacy name, Address and Phone#!!!!!! 3 hours later, still havent sent my meds to designated pharmacy. Its 7pm. The pharmacist tells me it happened before where they have it sent to YOUR pharmacy and they actually sent it ELSEWHERE🤬. The receptionist spoke with the pharmacist and told her, to tell me, that I NEEDED TO BE PATIENT. 3hrs is more than enough time and these IDIOTS still sent my meds else where or not at all!? Rude, Impolite. Communication with Patient Medical History NEEDS to be improved. Communication aming staff Needs to be improved, including customer service skills that the front staff Obviously lack.

I came here to get my third molar extracted. I paid to be sedated since my past experience with a dentist was horrible and led me to have anxiety with dentist. I followed through with all directions dentist instructed me with. I then went to another dental office for a routine cleaning and after they took x-rays they informed me that it half of the tooth that was supposed to be removed still in tact in my gums and that I would need it to be removed or I was at risk for infection.

Im from Brooklyn and moved to Manhattan and desperately needed to find a place and came across this magnificent place,they have Great Staff and Doctor and my Experience was Lovely they have manners and act very respectful. They certainly deserve 5 stars.

Just called to book an appointment and the lady was rude and said the soonest appointment was 2 weeks away. No way! Typical of that neighborhood. I live on the UES and patronize certain places in E. Harlem by choice. Im pretty much done going up there. I lived on 111 and 3 and wanted to continue to support the neighborhood, but the rude people are insufferable.

The dentist here is one of the rudest people I have ever met(If you dont know who I am speaking about, he is bald with green eyes)! He tries to tell you the pain that you are feeling instead of just listening to you. I spent 2 hours of my time waiting for him to do a wisdom tooth extraction because I was bleeding from the site and just overall having pain.He gets mad at me because he did 2 examinations on the same site; even trying to make it bleed so he can see if I was telling the truth.He got upset because I wanted the tooth gone! He then tried to say, You wouldnt have known the tooth was there if I had never shown you the x-ray I know I still have wisdom teeth.I will never return to this dump. Too bad there are some nice receptionists/nurses working there that have to deal with him.

Adam Brisman D.M.D is By far the rudest doctor I have ever encounter. He was terrible listener and constantly cuts you off when you speak, which forced me on several occasions to explain my situation to him over and over again. He spoke to me in a condescending tone the entire time. He explains, he doesnt want to do the procedure due to widsom tooth size and time. Really? Im having severe pain and this is what you tell me? He then tries to scare you away by explaining the potential side effects In manner that you makes you feel alarmed or freighten when really you get the impression, he just doesnt want to do it. I will never go back again and its sucks because the front desk staff and nurses are such nice people and really helpful! Dentistry work goes hand and hand with customer service and I never felt so belittled from a dentist In my life.

They took care of my daughter very well. And front desk girls were very polite and helpful.

Im a very difficult patient due to anxiety the dentist is kind understanding and accomodating to my personal issue as care is tailored to each patient I have had family come here for over a decade no complaints facility is clean walkins are accepted . just the front desk staff can be a tad bit snippy and curt but i think thats more so just how they are not a purposeful thing other than that the assistants are sweet and helpful as well

Good morning. My experience with East Side Oral Surgery was truely amazing. Receptionists were professional, and courteous with a great sense of humor. X-ray tech reminded of my grand mother. She was very informative and walked me thru everything. Dr. Brisman super professional!!! I was worried since I was having my than 2 teeth pulled. He told me everything step by step in less than 10 min I was done. Would give them 10 stars if I could. This place has a homey feel to it in my opinion. Will be going back and will tell FAM and friends about them.
