Dr. Calat is very accommodating. He is really an expert. After doing the X-Ray, he exactly pointed out the problems. He explained the procedure with every details. That helped to prepare me mentally and I always felt, I took informed decision. In every step, he asked me, if there is anything that can make the process better for, that I really liked. Overall it was a good experience and a special thanks to the office staff. They are equally good and helpful.

I don’t know if I can adequately express how caring and selfless this oral surgeon and his crew are. I am taking care of a friend who is no longer able to care for himself or articulate his needs. We knew he was in some kind of tooth pain- but we didn’t realize how much he was silently suffering. Dr. Calat and his amazing team made an emergency appointment for my friend, allowed him extra time to adjust to the procedure- and even waited patiently for an hour while his lousy cardiologist took her sweet time sending vital information that was needed to perform the operation. The experience I had with Dr. Paul Calat was amazing! Unlike many doctors, he took the time out to discuss what was going to occur during my tooth extraction. Dr calat is great and I highly recommend him. I had to extract my wisdom tooth, which is in the gum and under the cheek bone. The surgery involved cutting the bone and pull out the tooth from the tiny back space. I know it’s super difficult but Dr Calat did it and made sure that I could feel the least. I will definitely go to him if I must do the other one on the other side.

I was told that Dr.Calat is the best oral surgeon in NYC. Based on my personal experience (both with other Oral Surgeons and yesterday with him), I agree wholeheartedly. His office is modern and beautiful, his assistants are cheerful and kind and his demeanor is calm, collected, and confident. I was very nervous about the procedure but it only took a few moments to realize I had come to the right place. At no time did I feel like I was just a spoke in a wheel. I never felt like I was one of many patients to be checked off a list. He gave me very individual attention and really put me at ease. He extracted a badly cracked and infected molar yesterday. The procedure was as fast and as painless as a procedure of that kind could possibly be. Today I have just slight soreness but no swelling. Im incredibly grateful!

Went in to see Dr. Calat for a fractured tooth. I really appreciated his patience and time he took answering my million questions. I was very anxious about what was going to happen and he was wonderful with helping me feel supported and heard. Hour later with NO PAIN AT All and almost no post bleeding (only 2 hrs), I was s home.I have no pain or swelling and Im happy its over.

I did my wisdom teeth removal surgery here, and the doctor was very patient and encouraging from the beginning until the end. The surgery was naturally unpleasant, but Dr. Calat made it much less stressful and alleviated my nervousness. I’ve always had a shaky relationship with dental work, so when I found out I had to get all four of my wisdom teeth removed, I was anxious to say the least. Dr. Calat and his team made the process as smooth and painless as possible. I opted for IV sedation, and even though I woke up in the middle for a brief moment, there was no pain nor discomfort. Dr. Calat promptly paused the surgery to replace the IV. The surgery lasted an hour, but it felt like mere minutes. I also expected the recovery to be difficult, but it’s now the second day after the procedure and there’s been almost no pain and no swelling. Very pleasantly surprised with my experience.

I cannot recommend Dr. Calat enough. I have gone through two procedures with Dr. Calat over a period of four years and both times my experience has been better than expected. The doctor is kind and patient, one who appreciates the fear people have of the dental chair. Today is the day after my surgery and I have no pain or swelling. Lastly, he never upsells, to the contrary, he recommends on doing only what is absolutely necessary, thus, I found him act in the patient’s best interest. He was highly recommended to me by my dentist.

I absolutely love this office!!! I’ve never had just a positive, welcoming experience in a medical office. Dr Calat and his whole team were kind, patient, and took their time to make sure I was comfortable before/during/after my procedure. I’d recommend them again and again.

I went to see Dr. Calat for a difficult impacted wisdom tooth extraction. This tooth was very close to the nerves, and Dr. Calat clearly explained the options. We ultimately decided to go for a coronectomy, where they cut off the crown of the tooth and leave the roots behind to avoid hurting the nerve. I had my surgery yesterday and I’m happy to report it went well! I opted for sedation so I didn’t feel any pain and have no memory of the procedure. Even so, I was very scared before the surgery (shed a few tears), but the doctor was very calm and empathic throughout it all. He even checked in today (a Saturday!) to see how I was doing. Overall, a really pleasant experience. I’m still recovering and there’s a little bit of swelling but I’ve experienced no pain. Also, I really liked his staff member, Nina, who is the sweetest and kindest! I definitely recommend Dr. Calat and his practice.

Visited Dr. Calat for a tongue problem and biopsy. Doctor and staff were very kind and courteous. Dr. Calat explained everything clearly which was very welcome. A little late getting started but that is something I’m used to with all doctor appointments. All in all very satisfied.

Dr. Calat and staff are Super Stars. Outstanding bedside manner, thorough, comforting and easy to communicate with. Had oral surgery done yesterday didn’t feel a thing! Post op and I am feeling fantastic.

Absolutely wonderful experience!! Dr. Calat and his staff are just amazing. I had a small surgery there which went very smoothly. Dr Calat is very professional, gentle and sympathetic. I was scared of the dental surgery at the beginning because of the complicity of my case. Dr Calat clearly explained my situation, my choices and the risks. He kept encouraging me throughout the process and letting me know each step beforehand. The whole process is much faster than I thought. It took less than 2 hours from the X-ray, explanation to the end of the surgery and it was done by care. Definitely recommend this place.

It was my good fortune to have been referred to Oral Surgeon, Paul Calat of Mid-Manhattan Oral Surgery recently for an emergency procedure. Dr. Calat was above and beyond any expectations. His skills and extremely calming personality relaxed me and put me at ease. It was a painless experience and I would highly recommend his practice....the office staff is also very kind and caring. All are very professional and compassionate.

I just finished having a really great experience at this office! Everyone is so kind including front desk, staff and doctor. They treated my mom and I with the upmost respect. I felt very safe in their hands. The doctor explained really well what would happen and the charges before moving on. The office is kept really clean and they do a good job with Covid safely. For my actual extraction the last thing I remember was laughing joking with the doctor. Then I woke up feeling like no time went by. No pain at all for my impacted wisdom extraction!

I visited Dr.Calats office today to have 2 wisdom teeth removed. He and his staff were very professional and they followed Covid guidelines in terms of keeping everyone safe. THIS OFFICE IS SPICK AND SPAN CLEAN!!.In my 53 years of living, Ive never had a tooth pulled and was nervous. Dr.Calat helped me relax with his sense of humor along with talking me through the whole procedure and before I knew it, (30mins or so) he was done!
