Cancellation of my wife’s Confirmed and Accepted appointment with Dr. Shrier on 08/12/21.I played strictly by the rules by having, prior to requesting an appointment, the confirmation of both my Insurance (Empire MediBlue Health Plus HMO) and the lady that confirmed my appointment (« Anna ») that my insurance was accepted.After submitting her check in papers at the doctors office at 10 am, I was notified that her visit was cancelled because Dr. Shrier did not accept her insurance , NO QUESTIONS OR ARGUMENTS ASKED!From either the Providers, the Insurance or the Office Clerks, this is an unacceptable lack of fairness and respect for all the inconvenience suffered by a patient who thought that « playing by the rules » applies to everybody.Respectfully, Miguel Awad.
