I went to Dr. Fischer for multiple years and repeatedly asked for a transvaginal ultrasound to be done, to rule out the possibility of fibroids. She denied the procedure multiple times and told me that I’d have to get someone else to sign off on one. When I finally did, the radiologist’s findings said that they felt I might have adenomyosis but that I needed an MRI to rule it out. When asked for a MRI and if she felt this diagnosis was accurate, she coldly explained what the diagnosis meant and wouldn’t sign off on an MRI. I stopped going to her that day. After getting a new gyn I was given another transvaginal ultrasound and was diagnosed with fibroids. If you decide to go to this practice, please advocate for yourself and move on if you feel your concerns are being dismissed.

Dr. Fischer has the worst bedside manner of any doc Ive ever met. Short with you and just plain rude. Multiple times Ive been cut off before I could finish my question. Staff told me on my last visit that I would owe a certain amount, which I paid, but apparently when I was there the docs decided to send my tests to be read by the hospital and other labs, without my knowledge. Instead of sending to Quest, which it had always been Quest in the past, for the same tests, for the same procedure the last 3 years, I now owe hundreds of dollars more. I will not be returning and I will never again suggest this group.

Excellent care...above and beyond

An appointment was made for me without my permission and knowledge. The cancellation of it when I saw it on the portal may possibly cause me cancellation charges. Their hours are very inconvenient for working women. There are other ob/gyn entities with convenient hours for working women and dont charge for appointment cancellations, look online.

I had an awesome experience with KBG and Dr Ruth Tessler. I had major gynecological DaVinci robot guided surgery at NYU. The whole team from the pre op OR nurses to the post op nurses were excellent. My in office expertise with Dr Tessler’s staff was world class. I’d recommend this office to all of my friends.

A very long story short - 3 appointments and one surgery later - I wouldnt recommend this place to my worst enemy. The office confused several dates and times when scheduling appointments. The office gave me the wrong surgery time the week before (luckily the hospital called to confirm the night before so I showed up at the appropriate time). The surgeon was extremely rushed each time I met with her - giving me emotional whiplash and making me feel like I was in a surgery mill. She never even called me to follow-up the week after surgery to make sure I was doing OK (which I - and my family and friends - found extremely unusual compared to past experiences). It was like pulling teeth to have my questions answered via phone/email the weeks after my surgery. And my last follow-up literally lasted 90 seconds- it was appalling. No how are you feeling, no do you have any questions, no good luck to you. Disgusting! Stay away. There have to be hundreds of better options for a GYN/Surgeon in NYC. And I wish you all good luck!

The care here is excellent, the staff is professional and Dr. Fischer is wonderful and as a bonus, has a wonderful sense of humor, rare to find and a big bonus. I couldnt be more pleased and grateful to have found this level of medical expertise in the city and everyone I have guided towards this center has been equally impressed.

So far so good. Doctor Fisher is super nice. And staff is very friendly and accommodating.

THIS PLACE BLOWS. every time i go in for an appt there is some form of miscommunication. my specialist almost NEVER knows why i am there, what is the point of having a chart if you don’t even glance at it? the nurses never communicate information properly to one another or their superiors, and any time i call i always get placed on hold, hung up on and/or EVERY SINGLE TIME they say they will call back they never do. Oh, and it takes months to get in for the simplest appointment, even a check up. Ive been here for a year now for various appts and had one procedure done through this office. I need to have one more procedure done “supposedly”, solely because I want to end this course of treatment with the same doctor instead of switching halfway through but after this I will be finding a new specialist. Every visit ends in tears. I was better off without one.

I had to wait for almost hour in the exam room to see the nurse despite showing up 30 minutes early. On top of that they messed up every single test prescription they gave me. So I had to wait to get all of those fixed to get the relevant tests. Still haven’t received a call back with the results I got last week. Horrible!

So far in this office I have had an overall pleasant experience with Dr. Eswar, front desk staff, & even though I only saw Dr. Huang once before meeting Dr. Eswar she was amazing, thorough, professional, to the point, she listened while explaining & confirmed understanding of everything you told, her which for me was like having a book read to you! She is young, intelligent , fierce, personable, straight up no *BS kinda woman and works alongside her staff not as their superior. I ADORE THAT!! The office is clean, time efficient & on schedule. The only ISSUES I have is with one nurse and I AM NOT DROPPING NAMES BECAUSE THATS NOT NICE NOR IS IT PROFESSIONAL. All I will say about that is to stay on top of your conversations &messages because she doesnt communicate well. May be a language barrier, not sure, otherwise I am sure shes competent in her clinical skill or she wouldnt be working with such fine doctors.Dr. Eswar has an excellent bedside manner, is patient, confident, providing you with a detailed education of your condition. He is kind, and thorough, Ive never felt rushed! Surgery for endometrial ablation & cystoscopy with hydrodistention went well from a surgical standpoint, as far as pain control & anesthesia I would have to give NYU Hospital & ER a different review.I absolutely recommend Dr. Eswar from a pelvic pain gynecologic perspective. His approach to therapy is modern, and proven in literature, its a new approach I hadnt been exposed to since being diagnosed with endometriosis as well as interstitial cystitis years ago. I look forward to physical therapy, diet change, & possibly one more minor surgery to manage my endometriosis & interstitial cystitisFinally LAST but most certainly, NOT least, GISELA, the surgery coordinator, is an ANGEL in disguise. She is patient, kind, thorough, sharp, polite, professional, organized and by far THE BEST SURGICAL COORDINATOR I have come in contact with for my own surgical arrangements & if I were working with her for a Pt. of mine I would not doubt she would be just as fabulous! Do your research on this place. sounds like DEATH TRAP . sheesh!

Receptionist here was unbelievably rude. She hung up on me. Wont ever be going here.
