After meeting with a few Dermatology surgeons for a melanoma removal on my face I chose the team at NYU Langone. The office was kind, polite, and ensured I was able to come in at my convenience. I met with Dr. Stevenson who took the time to explain my biopsy results, how best to proceed and why. As the nevus was on my face she took additional time to explain how to do the surgery with the best cosmetic results, ensured all my questions where answered and introduced me to her mentor and colleague Dr. Carruci who performed the surgery. Dr. Carucci was gentle and patience; explaining the entire procedure and ensuring I was calm and comfortable. The nursing team was exceptional, calling me back whenever I posted a question in the patient portal (which was often!). Rare to find such great care from every team member, had to share my experience.

If you would like to be treated with respect and dignity please look for another place. I took my daughter to see Dr. Oza. I can honestly say I have never been treated so badly by any doctor/medical professional. My child has worsening perioral dermititis, it keeps spreading and of course as a mom, I worry. He told me I was overly concerned and if he were to prescribe oral antibiotic it would be for me. He totally disregarded my input when I tried to explain my observations. He didn’t even look at my daughter’s face right away but instead chose to judge and disrespect me. A doctor should have manner and treat patients with respect. He is also very cold and rude so I have no idea why he chose to work with children. Education and doctor title means nothing here. I will never take my daughter to see him again.

I had a terrible experience there! I saw Dr. Caplan several months ago for a minor procedure, he was extremely arrogant, incompetent, and has zero bedside manner. He didn’t answer any of my questions and seemed disinterested. Additionally, that minor procedure I had done wasn’t done properly! He clearly had no clue what he was doing. I had to go to another dermatologist and pay another office visit as I have no trust in dr. Caplan. Additionally, he didn’t have the decency to return any of my calls.

Definitely worth the wait. We did have to wait a long time for an initial appointment, but that is the case with most specialists. Dr. Oza was very thorough, asked a LOT of questions and looked at my daughters skin (head to toe). We are currently seeing him for severe eczema, and treatment thus far, has proven effective and her skin is probably the best its been in a few years. Im very happen with the office and the doctor, as well as the app which is very easy to use, and I emailed a question and was answered very quickly!

The doctors here are too busy for people, I took my son for a second time and the doctor was very quick about dismissing me. It felt as if with every question I was annoying him. Doctor Vikash Oza. There’s no real concern about the patient. It’s all about the money.
