Im impressed by Dr. Andrew Nightingale and by the entire office. Its run with amiability as well as great efficiency and using the most current equipment. More critically, there is nothing cursory about Dr. Nightingales approach. Indeed, he was incredibly careful with my examination and just at the end, as he thought he saw something odd about one of my eyes he asked for an additional scan. Fortunately, because of his acumen he was able to identity a potential problem before it happened. Though I typically opt for physicians closer to my own age, I have complete faith in him.

Dr. Nightingale took the time to listen to what I really needed - multiple reading glasses prescriptions (Im a working musician, and reading scores is different than reading a book or laptop screen). I have been going to Dr Andrew Nightingale since he began practising. He performed my cateract surgery for both eyes and I see hi annually for check ups. Prior to Andrew I had been seeing Dr Jeffrey Nightingale for many years, close to 20 I think. I trust them completely and have recommended them to many friends. They are thoughtful, kind, and excellent doctors.

Excellent office visit with Dr.Nightingale. His staff was excellent as well in prepping me for my visit with Dr Nightingale. They used the latest equipment to test my eyes for various disease and help prescribe me contacts and glasses. Highly recommend for someone who needs a thorough checkup!

Dr. Nightingale seems undereducated from his use of vocabularies and doesnt care about his patients enough to give well reasoned explanations for certain symptoms I experienced or detailed precautions for the eye dilation procedure. He is bad mannered (haughty) and made me feel uncomfortable and uneasy about asking and discussing important things that I am concerned about with my eyes. For the eye dilation, one needs to wait for at least an hour in a dark space to recover the eyes but he didnt mention anything. This is very irresponsible and careless.

The best ophthalmologist there is. Very caring and attentive and knows exactly what he is doing.

I usually dread my eye-checkup visits, but not after my experience with Dr.Nightingale. The way in which the doctor educated me about my eye-issues and how it can be treated put me at ease and its given me much confidence.

Easy to make an appointment, short waiting and excellent care by the doctor and his staff. While the optimist had questions about the prescription for my computer glasses, it was easily resolve with a phone call.

In the past, my experiences with Dr Andrew Nightingale have been good, but when I had a painful emergency and really needed care on a Saturday, he made a bad situation worse. I was obviously in intense pain yet when I asked what I could do if the drops he called in didn’t work, he said come in on Monday. But there’s no way I could take this pain until Monday. He still insisted that was the only option. Really? He then failed to call in the prescription so I had to call back an hour later. During this call he confirmed the pharmacy’s phone number and then said good bye. I was shocked that he didn’t ask me how I was doing or anything about my pain. My impression was that he was bothered. I will not be returning to this doctor. Despite the good reviews and friendly staff, I would NOT recommend Dr Nightingale.

Always a pleasure to visit annually. The service is on time, no endless wait. The staff is kind and caring and the doctor is wonderful!

Preliminary tests on my eyes were taken quickly and painlessly, the staff was attentive and professional, and my eye condition was explained to me in full detail by Dr. Nightingale. Unfortunately to post I had to give a star. A horror. I saw the great recommendations here; heed my truth, my words. After getting three recommendations from doctors about his father but not him, I saw him because his father wasn’t practicing. First appointment was OK. Subsequent were horrible, as well as his office manager, who gave me expired eyedrops. Both were arrogant, rude, condescending and he could have caused me great harm. His techs though and her office mate were kind. After myriad tests I saw him and he said, tersely, “what’s that in your eye, could be glaucoma.” Only when I reminded him I don’t know, I’m the patient, did he calm down. As a tennis player I asked him when I can play, he said “the next day.” I was stunned. He said he has done cataract surgery on many tennis professionals and he “knows.” His is a new way. After checking further NO, NO reputable doctor would say to play tennis the day after cataract surgery. It can cause great harm. The last time I saw him, when I was called to come in for more “measurements,” I asked again and he said the same, I can play tennis the next day. Staggeringly, grossly incompetent, to say the least. He also said bizarre things about okay to have laser in one eye, original in other, kept changing his mind about which eye. He also said I need a Toric lens (more expensive), but no other surgeon said I need it. He also said I would have 20/20 vision in my nearsighted eye; again, NO reputable surgeon would say that. They try for that, always close, but don’t promise. I asked him one more question when he stormed out saying nastily, “you will pay for this visit, this was just for measurements, not my time.” That was it. I have asked my insurance to carefully check his charges, and the Dept of Health for the damage he could have caused me. Long after I cancelled the scheduled surgery they are still sending prescriptions for eye drops after surgery to my pharmacy. As I emailed him, if he would do it for free I wouldn’t have him touch my eyes.

I came here on a referral. The staff is phenomenal here. They patient and very informative. The same goes for Dr.Nightingale himself. A great doctor. He is through with his examinations and very thoughtful with all the information he gives. I would refer everyone here. Also it right across from central park and the Museum of Natural history so yoh can just enjoy the day after.

Dr. Nightingale performed cataract surgery on me. The results are amazing and I would expect nothing less as Dr. Nightingale takes such joy in his work and its outcome. He is pleasant, he is on time, and his office is run wonderfully with a great staff. It is apparent they like working there.

Dr. Nightingale is professional and personable. Last year, he performed cataract surgery on my eyes. It turned out I had an unusual underlying, and previously unknown condition that was revealed by the surgery which complicated my recovery. He knew just how to treat the problem and reassured me that the problem would straighten itself out. He prescribed medications to help the recovery, saw me several times a week, and made himself available to me at odd hours until the problem was resolved. I now see better than 20/20 (almost 20/15), and colors are vivid. Bravo to the doctor.

So, let me express it this way. When I researched changing from standard Medicare to Medicare Advantage, I found I would have to also change many of my physicians. And Dr. Nightingale would not be one of them. After having 2 cataract surgeries that he performed and multiple exams, I am quite content to stay put. I dont change excellent doctors just to get a different medical plan.
