My wife and I both had eye surgery here and could not have had a better experience. Dr Stetson and his staff from front of house to OR are friendly, professional, and fun. Their process is well defined and consistent. I haven’t read the negative reviews here and I can’t even imagine something negative to say after having had so much interaction with this office over the last 5 weeks. I found my way to Dr. Stetson via family and friends about 2 hours away who have trusted his work for a couple generations at this point. Great great doctor who knows how to run a professional practice. Enjoy your experience; we did.

I had an intralasik surgery here in December of 2019 and it was life-changing! The whole process was really smooth and seamless. Irina was very knowledgeable about the different kinds of procedures and did a very thorough consultation with me. Dr. Stetson is clearly a professional, and tried to make me comfortable during my surgery, which took only about 10 minutes. The whole staff is friendly and helpful. Id recommend this place to anyone considering vision-correction surgery!

WARNING!I got my eye butchered in this place. Please pay close attention to what they tell you. As a result of my PRK, now I have major problems with my eyes, including cornea inflammation and chronic dry eye. I had to go for many visits after and they were not able to help.

I recently went in for my yearly exam since surgery and I can say without a doubt in my mind I’m am A. so glad I got Lasik and, B. got it done with diamond vision. The staff a diamond vision is amazing. Everyone single person is there is absolutely amazing. The process from my consultation to surgery day was flawless and amazing. I felt like they were really out more my best interest and made sure I was going to be a perfect candidate for Lasik. All I can say is if you’re thinking about doing it, do it and make sure you go to diamond vision!

Wow. What can I say... 2020 vision in 2020 !!! After wearing glasses and contacts for 16 years (and tired of it!) it feels amazing not to have that be a preoccupation in a busy daily life. It has been almost 3 weeks since my lasik procedure and I’m over the moon! The staff (receptionists, consultant, and Dr.’s) were so kind, friendly, knowledgeable and helpful, they really made the experience one of a kind. The procedure itself was fast, painless and may I add enjoyable? So far I’ve had no complications what’s so ever, but then again I have been EXTREMELY diligent with the post opp care... after all, they are my eyes. I HIGHLY suggest you give yourself the gift of sight, I wish I would have done this sooner !!!! And I HIGHLY suggest Diamond Vision. Thank you for giving me back a piece of myself that I lost 16 years ago, this feeling is truly priceless!!!

My brother and many friends have gone here for PRK or Lasik and highly recommended Dr Stetson. I decided that for Year 2020 I wanted 20/20 vision without contacts or glasses and booked my appointment. So now I’m here for a check up almost 2 months after having PRK done. Front desk staff is so nice and welcoming! The check up went very well: My eyes are healing well and looks like I haven’t even had surgery AND I have 20/20 vision already. Though complete healing is at 3 months and I’m very happy with my results so far. I will say that on the day of surgery I was highly anxious and almost canceled my appointment. (I’m serious) I did take the medicine that was prescribed for me to relax and the doctor, Dr Stetson, was very informative, answered my last minute concerns, was cool and calm, and talked his way through my surgery. It did not even last more than 15 minutes and was not painful at all. Even going home right after I was not too bad as I could see but it was just a little bit blurry. Such a relief. I had the surgery on a Friday but just on Sunday it was definitely pain throughout the day (3rd day) but it was gone by Monday morning. I was on top of all the drops that I had to take and didn’t miss a beat. After that it was a few weeks of blurry vision (where I felt like I needed my glasses but I had to remind myself not to touch them lol) Before I knew it I was seeing clearer by the day! It is a Blessing!!

Stay away and do your research , you will lose money for no results, my wife had Surgery and it was bad from day one , they told us to wait and take eye drops and now they are running away , I paid almost $4000 , stay away ❌

I had a great experience at Diamond Vision. From the minute I called to make my consultation appointment, everything went smoothly. I met with the consultant Krupa who was very knowledgeable and friendly. She took a bunch of scans of my eyes and told me what surgery would be best for me. She wasnt pushy at all. I felt very comfortable. Dr. Stein the optometrist was wonderful. I had very thorough eye exam and she explained everything to me as we went through the pre-op. She took the time to answer all of my questions and concerns. The day of surgery I met with Dr. Stetson. He was super friendly and eased my day of surgery nerves. I had my surgery 2 weeks ago and I am already 20/20 in both eyes!!! I wish I would have done this years ago!! It was so quick and easy and I was back to work the next morning! I highly recommend Diamond Vision!!

3 Month PRK Post-Op Update:I just had my 3 month follow-up today with Dr. Kantor. Although my left eye was lagging behind in healing as of my last appointment, it has improved greatly to -0.5 and my right eye has healed to a perfect 0. I really appreciated that the doctor took the time to do these measurements as it helped to assure me that my healing is on track, and that both eyes were still improving. My left eye can now see a fuzzy 20/20 and my right sees 20/20. PRK has a much longer recovery time compared to LASIK, so it really is a test of your patience.After I told the doctor that I can see much better in my left eye after putting in some artificial tears, she evaluated me for dry eye and prescribed me some eye drops that will help to treat it. As I continue to heal, it is expected that any dry eye conditions will get better as well.Overall, I am still very satisfied with my experience. Im hoping that my left eye will continue to heal from now until my 6 month follow-up. In the meantime, Dr. Kantor has definitely been super helpful and I am so glad she took the time to actually address some of these blips in the healing process to make it better for me. She also answered all the questions that I had with great detail so I could tell she is extremely knowledgeable in this field, and that she cares a lot about her patients. I still stand by my recommendation for Diamond Vision and am a very happy client!

Had lasik done here about five years ago. Absolutely no side affects, procedure itself was literally five minutes and about 20 min with prep. Absolutely THE best thing I have ever done in my life. Its life changing! Five years later and my vision is still perfect. No more waking up seeing a world of blur without my glasses, no more hassle dealing with glasses/contact lenses.

Awesome staff. Rough laser surgery day (it was the first night they used their brand new laser machine and they were triple checking things) but it was all well worth it. Their caring and attentiveness was extraordinary!

I received PRK Surgery here in 2007 that was about $2300 and it was a great outcome. 12 years Later After calling them today and being advised that the $499 Price Per Eye Refresher Surgery I was offered back then was now, “Due to New Management” was up to $1000 per eye, shows me that they do not value prior customers and the business they brought to their establishment... I will Be looking elsewhere for my refresher Surgery or opt for glasses... Smh...

Best thing I ever did for myself. Years upon years of contacts no more. Dr. Stetson is a true professional and perfectionist. Made me feel great and see great. Now Im contacting them to see if they are going to start doing the new Raindrop treatment for farsightedness. My personal experience with Lasik has only been positive. I had it first done back in 2000 when this office was originally located on 37th St. Yup that’s how long it’s been. They corrected my extreme near sightedness & astigmatism. After the procedure I did develope night glares & halos. It was annoying at times but I just learned to live with it. Then when 2010 rolled along my vision started to revert back. I sought out this place again. Luckily they had made great advancements since my first experience. Based on the surgeons recommendations, I had custom lasik. This procedure corrected my night glare issues. It was amazing. I followed all medical directions as advised & visited their in house optometrist regularly. Since I’ve already had the procedure done twice, I can no longer do it again. So far my eye sight is still going strong. I’ve developed dry eyes but that’s the price you pay... it’s not severe & nothing eye drops can’t cure. I never regret my choice for getting this done. I highly recommend Diamond Vision to anyone considering Lasik. Please do all research before going under the knife because nothing is without risk & it might not be for everyone. I’m very happy & fortunate that it was nothing but positive experience.

Im sure they do great work per the other reviews, but for whatever reason they took $250 as a deposit just for our consultation. After deliberating it for awhile we decided to hold off on the procedure, but forgot that Diamond Vision was holding onto our money. Im sure they have their reasons, but its irks me that Diamond does what Ive never seen other businesses do.

I cannot begin to explain what a great experience I have thus far had with DiamondVision. Post-PRK, I am progressing towards achieving 20/20, as the natural healing process concludes. The whole team has been extremely professional, accessible, and kind throughout the process (which I thought would be daunting!). I just had Intralase a few days ago and Im extremely impressed by the professionlism, friendliness, and meticulous nature of all persons at Diamond Vision. From my initial consultation to my pre-operation appointment, I was well informed about the process. On the day of my surgery, I was made to feel comfortable and at-ease by everyone. Dr. Stetson took the time to review my scans and told me everything that I would need to know. The surgery itself was short and painless. The doctor and everyone assisting him made me feel very soothed by talking me through the procedure. I was in and out in about 2 hours and now, I can see! I highly recommend this surgery and I am very happy and satisfied that I chose Diamond Vision.

I got PRK as my corneas were too thin for Lasik. Its a painful procedure but Dr. Stetson was amazing. They really make sure that your eyes are taken care of. I had terrible astigmatism and was very near-sighted. I had glasses since I was 5 years old. Now Im a soft 20/20. I honestly cant complain. Just follow their instructions and youll be good.

I wasnt told about some very important information until after they took my non-refundable deposit. Make sure to ask about your reading vision and how the surgery makes a very large impact to it prior to giving your deposit. I cancelled my appointment and lost my deposit without them even asking why. If during the initial free consultation this information came up, it would have saved me my deposit. Felt it was intentional.I never went into pre-op, it was the consultation fee with one of the doctors and was told it wasn’t refundable. The doctor I met with was very informative, that’s when I learned that I would be giving up my reading vision as well as my $250. If it was refundable, why wasn’t it refunded already????

I had my procedure 2 years ago and now Im having blurry vision again. This place does not have warranty ...only for a year. Please do tour research and go somewhere that provides lifetime warranty

I stopped wearing my contacts on December 24th 2013 two weeks prior to my free LASIK consultation at Diamond vision. On January 6th 2014 I had my free lasik Consultation. Kenneth was my consultant and made me feel very comfortable. During my free consultation kenneth told me right off the bat whether or not I was a candidate for LASIK eye surgery and laid down the prices for me.On JANUARY 9th 2014 I had my preoperative examination with Dr.Stein who did a lot of eye/visual tests to make sure i was a candidate best suited for lasik. I was told at the end of these tests That I was the perfect candidate.. To be a perfect candidate for LASIK you cant wear your contacts for a month as your cornea has to be really thick for the laser when doing the procedure. I personally hated the way i looked in glasses, and with contacts I always felt more confident, but i was going to have to suffer in my glasses for one more month as I knew after LASIK i would have contacts lenses in my eyes 24/7 :)I had the IntraLase procedure done on January 18th 2014. I met with Dr.Stetson before the procedure and he made me feel very comfortable. When i went to the procedure room the operation itself took only 15 minutes, but Trust me Dr.Stetson knows what he is doing and makes you so comfortable during the whole procedure. After the procedure i had blurryvision which is a common side affect.On January 19th 2014, day after procedure, I opened my eyelids and every was so CLEAR:):):) I went for my post operative appointment on the the 19th and was told that i am 20/20. When i walked out of 15 west east 44 street, madison avenue, I was so happy I was 20/20 and could see 20/20, Im 21 btw and was so happy that this is something im going to have for the rest of my life.Today is January 20th, two days after the Intralase procedure, and can now type this as I am speaking, watch tv, shower, read, bathe, and wanted to say THANK YOU Dr. Steven Stetson You are absolutely a gift to the field of Opthamology and know what you are doing. I am so happy i had the procedure done with you. I also want to also thank Kenneth and the rest of the Diamond vision staff, who were so nice and made me feel comfortable. I can see again!!! I could not be more pleased with my experience at Diamond Vision from the initial scheduling to the consult, surgery and follow up care.I had LASIK done with a different surgeon about 15 years ago and the vision in the left eye was still near-sighted with astigmatism and I suffered with a lot of glare at night. Because of the poor experience I had with the last surgeon and his staff, I decided to live with it for 15 years until my friend told me about the amazing results she had with Dr. Stetson at Diamond Vision. I scheduled a consult with Dr. Stein and she was extremely professional and informative. I ended up scheduling PRK instead of LASIK to avoid the potential complications of having a second LASIK procedure after 15 years. Thanks Dr. Stein for setting me straight because most people think that LASIK is always the way to go but we have to remember to trust the professionals opinions and not friends and the internet!On the day of my surgery I was fairly anxious but after I met my surgeon, Dr. Stetson, and he explained the procedure again to me in such a soothing voice my anxiety washed away from me. He handed me a teddy bear to hold during the procedure and also covered me in a blanket because I was a little chilly. For a second I thought I was at a spa! I should also mention that Dr. Stetson is very handsome; certainly not a necessity in a surgeon but it was a nice bonus. :-) Next thing I knew I was home and listening to my audio book while resting my eyes. As was explained to me, I experienced some pain and discomfort that is typical of PRK but it was so not a big deal. It was so worth it! The surgery was Saturday and I was back at work on Monday! All of my follow-up appointments with Dr. Stein went perfectly and now it is 6 months later and I am still a perfect 20/20 and free of glare!!!I could not be MORE happy with my experience at Diamond Vision. I had such a positive experience here after such a negative experience somewhere else. I am thrilled with my vision and now recommend refractive surgery (ONLY with Diamond Vision!!!) to every friend, colleague and sometimes virtual strangers! So glad to be finally seeing clearly again! Thanks Dr. Stetson, Dr. Stein and the rest of the Diamond Vision staff!
