Lauren Guerrero took care of my grandmother, Susana L. and checked in on her frequently making sure that she had everything that she needed to live a comfortable life during her last 2 years of life. My grandmother would often tell me that Lauren was able to assist her with one thing, then another and then even educated her on how else Housecalls Home Care could help her. My grandmother couldn’t have been happier. She was a very independent woman even her last two years, but certain parts of her body started failing her and she started needing the help of a home attendant. Lauren was able to match her up with the perfect one. Her name was Jaqueline Abreu. I met Jacqueline several times while visiting her and the way that she treated my grandmother made my heart warm. My grandmother would often include Jacqueline in her stories of her daily events when we would speak on the phone because she enjoyed her time with her. Jacqueline and Lauren treated my grandmother with utmost respect and allowed her the choices to be as independent as she could, while offering her exactly what they knew she needed. Lauren also visited the hospital in her last days and made sure that she was comfortable and that we (her family) knew what her choices were (since she could no longer make them for herself). I am not sure why we got awarded the opportunity for my grandmother to have this most amazing last two years of living in her own home, but I know WHO did that for her. Lauren Guerrero and the people that work under her supervision. Thank you Housecall Home care. I am forever grateful and wish that we would’ve found you before for my grandfather that passed away 2 years ago and who most definitely did not have anywhere near the amazing end of life experience that my grandmother did.
