Outstanding hands on surgeon. I’ve been a patient for 10 years. Dr. Kang performed anterior transposition of the ulnar nerve (entrapment in elbow with pins and needles in my hand literally for 3 months). Most recently she performed digital nerve repair on two of my fingers from a deep laceration crush injury. She saved my fingers. Over the years when I have seen her and in between my two surgeries I have always received first class personal treatment as a patient. Dr. Kang has always been able to obtain any immediate testing that she needs while you are there. She treats you as a whole. Her executive assistant is immediately responsive and handles all the medical paperwork hassles with all insurance companies being medical or disability companies to FMLA paperwork. Top notch medical attention on all levels. Highly recommend. Both surgeries at HSS have been an easy flawless experience.

Its my dominant arm thats going to to have the surgery I mean do you think Id be asking to get my arm fixed if I could sign with the other arm? Obviously not! Thanks for wasting my time! Now Im going to have to sue.

Dr Kang is caring and listens to your issues . I’ve seen her twice with “trigger finger r” and I’m happy with my results . Wait time was minimal . Other than hiking all the way to the east side, I’m glad I’m her patient .

Dr Lana Kangs Care if excellent I felt confident in her care. I was feeling numbness in three fingers and was diagnosed as carpal tunnel. Previous doctor would not inject cortisone as not needed. I was experiencing this for 2 months. She injected and felt almost immediate relief. Going on for 2 weeks no numbness or tingling. It worked and I feel so much better

Although (as at least one other review has noted ) I had to wait over an hour past my appointment time to be seen, I am extremely happy so far with my experience with Dr. Kang. She is kind and has a wonderful bedside manner, and is funny, curious, and energetic; more importantly, she is clearly a brainy, ultra-competent, highly focused physician with numerous impressive credentials far beyond the minimum required. I completely trust her and am very relieved she is my hand surgeon. I am totally fine with waiting extra time to be seen—which happens more often than not in medical appointment situations, lets get real, people—when the actual medical care provided is of the highest quality.

Dr. Kang is a very gifted, humble surgeon who loves her job. She is a top hand doctor who remained a caring person always putting her patients first. As a former pro tennis player and a current instructor, I have many different issues with my wrist and have had 4 surgeries done by Dr. Kang in the past 7 years - she put me together and got me better every single time. You will never find a better doctor than Dr. Kang and her office is very efficient and easy to deal with.

This is the second time Dr. Kang operated on my husband Joseph. Seven years ago Dr. Kang put his wrist together after a fall. It is perfect, Dr. Kang was so attentive. It was done in HSS. This time he had carpal tunnel surgery. It was done in the ambulatory center of HSS. It was done under local . When I saw my husband, he had no IV, no block. He said everyone was wonderful. He had a small ace bandage. He immediately felt relief during the surgery. Amazing. She is the best.

Unfortunately the doctor did not respect my appointment time nor the time I had to depart nor the simple etiquette of taking appointments as they are scheduled, instead of allowing arrivals that came after me in before me. I had to rearrange important meetings so that I could be at the appointment at the requested time. So have to say overall disappointing and disrespectful of her patients. What a shame as I now have to find another appointment after waiting for weeks to be left hanging in the end.

I went to her for a second opinion, before the surgery on my right hand that my Surgeon wanted to do . I gave her the results from previous MRI, EMG and surgery that had had previous been done on my hand. She made me go for a EMG test, to give her more info about nerve damage.Im very disappointed, for she never told me her opinion other than my hand will never be good! She is part of Hospital for Special Surgery - #1 Orthopedic Hospital in the Nation yet my Surgeon Jacques Hacqueboad is at NYU LAGONE and seams to know more than see does!
