All the staff are super helpful and welcoming every time I visit, but Kelly in particular is phenomenal! She is extremely knowledgeable and is always patient, kind, respectful, and eager to help however she can!

When a triple focus lenses were not working for me they replaced them with bi-focal lenses and also put bi-focal on a spare eyeglasses with no extra charge. Yes! I am a returning customer and have only praise at their perfection and gracious service.

Wonderful experience and it was my first time visiting this place. I was greeted by Kelly who was incredibly helpful, honest, patient, and knowledgeable about the different types of frames and styles. I will definitely be returning to this optical for any future glasses purchases :)

If you wish to pay high retail prices, in a loud and cramped store, with aggressive sales people, you’ll love it here.The sales team and manager were very pushy to ‘make that sale.’ I had my eyes examined there. They agreed to waive the cost of the eye exam if I purchased a frame and prescription from them. When I checked the cost of the same frames online to see if they would price match it, they said absolutely not...they’re attitude was astonishing.Years ago, they had an outstanding manager named, Joey, who was full of personality and made customers feel warm and welcomed. They told me he has since retired.Refuse to go back there, since there’s nothing exceptional about the frames they sell and their customer service is lacking!There are literally other optical places to shop in the downtown area. Chinatown Optical on Mott And Pell Streets is a no go, make it a no show!

If you have Emblem Health, please call your insurance before going to Chinatown Optical. The insurance company clearly told me that they cover the basic frame and lenses. However, when I went to Chinatown Optical, they told me that although they accept my insurance, my insurance ONLY covers the free exam and nothing else. I told them that was not what Emblem Health told me but they didnt budge.Went to a different glasses store and they said that my insurance indeed covers both the frame and lenses.NEVER COMING BACK TO CHINATOWN OPTICAL AGAIN!

I love this place! It was recommended to me by Fabulous Fannys almost 9 years ago and I have been getting my eye exams done here every time. I usually bring in my own vintage frames to have filled and they always do a great job.Such a friendly and helpful staff!Best of all -- FANTASTIC PRICE!

Awesome store- great selection of high end frames in the heart of chinatown . I enjoyed getting my eyes checked by the eye doctor and also found a lovely pair of Barton Pererria. Their staff was very attentive and professional and I enjoyed getting my glasses .

The screws out my glasses came out the other day and henges were a bit bent. I was in full panic mode because my glasses are very expensive. I called before I went and a individual answered the phone efficiently and informed that they can take a look at if I bring it. When I got their I was greeted by everyone and Chris Nie assisted me with this repair. He resolved this issue in a timely mannor and provided the best customer service experience ever. I have informed my friends and co-worker about the greatness of this place. Highly recomended.
