I have been a client of Caserta Eye for 11 years. The best customer service I have ever received. I will never buy glasses from anywhere else. I tell Paul what I want, and he makes it happen with Passion and molds it to my personal look. I dont even live in NY anymore, and I still only buy my glasses from Caserta Eye. I feel like a VIP client, and he makes everyone feel the same way. This guy knows his stuff!

Today I walked into Caserta Eye for the first time and met the owner, Paul, who was very warm and friendly. He adjusted and replaced a broken piece on my old frames (which I had not purchased from him) free of charge. We had a wonderful conversation, and hes a real New Yorker. Having recently lost another locally owed eyeglasses store that was just around the corner, Economy Best Vision & Better Hearing, Im grateful we still have a local business owner to serve the vision needs of the community. There were a lot of attractive and distinctive frames on display, and the service was top-notch. I look forward to returning here again!

Looking at the reviews, and wondering if they had been written by family and neighborhood friends? I moved to the area recently, and decided to check out the place. Looked cool from the street, BUT - awful customer service! The sales guy was so rude! Dont bother!!

I dont even know where to begin with this one. It all started when I spotted these absolutely AMAZING pair of 1960 intricate metal frames, I pig faced on the display case glass for about two months before I worked up the courage to actually walk in. Best. Decision. EVER! I met Paul, the owner, and we started chatting and he told me he had noticed me staring at those frames everyday and asked me if I wanted them. Well, DUH I wanted them but this place looked so fancy I was afraid what I might end up paying for a pair of dead-stock never worn vintage frames, and on top of that, my prescription had expired (meaning I was beginning to not be able to see out of my current frames), to which he said, not a problem, I have a doctor on site who does exams in the store and I can set you up with a payment plan! Every paycheck I got I ran back to the store to pay off these amazing frames one $20 bill at a time. Eventually I paid them off, he set me up with his doctor and I got my exam and he sent the frames off to get lenses and called me as soon as he got them back. Every pair of glasses Ive gotten from him come with a case, a cleaning cloth, and cleaning solution. He does more than just sell them too, he fixes them! And not just you average fixing, hes has literally reconstructed the first pair of metal frames I got from him, twice. The second time the glasses were literally in pieces, and he repaired and re shaped them like new. I cannot recommend him enough and now that Ive moved I dont know what I am going to do for my glasses needs! I suppose Ill be shipping my glasses across the country for repairs and when I need a new pair I will be giving him a call. If I could give more than five stars I most certainly would! First of all,The owner Paul,is awesome. He caters to his customers,& delivers on whatever he promises as well. Terrific personality,& I come from the other side of Brooklyn,just for his knowledge,honesty,prices,& his great selections of eyewear!

Paul was phenomenal. I was recommended to them by Warby Parker after having no luck with their frames (I have a narrow face shape). Their collection of frames is unique. Paul was patient, worked with me to find a pair within my budget, and was very informative in the process. Knows the business and science of his craft.The other person who works there was very professional on the phone as well.

I have been going down to NYC from CTfor several years solely to get new glasses from Paul. I have worn glasses for half my life and have never shopped in a store with better selection and customer service. Since I consider glasses to be a strong part of my wardrobe I own lots of pairs to complete outfits. I am also picky and only like tortoise shell or solid acetate resin frames. Paul always has the most interesting assortment and often picks out and holds frames he thinks I might like for my next visit. He is never wrong and over the years I have loved and worn his choices to compliments from all my friends and coworkers. His prices are so reasonable that I never seem to leave the shop without 2 or 3 new glasses. He makes sure they are ready quickly, yet the lenses are always top quality and he goes out of his way to assure correct fit and vision. His patience and friendliness are legendary. I know because he was referred to me by neighborhood people who use him and that is always the best recommendation.

I love this unique eyewear shop in the west village. When I first walked past, I was impressed with the variety but also thought it would be out of my price range. As chance would have it, a few days later, I complimented someone on their frames and they told me that they had purchased them from the owner, Paul. He was a student, Paul had worked with him to get him a good pair of frames within his budget. On my first visit, Paul spent at least an hour helping me find the perfect frame. I wound up buying 3. Since then he is my go to place for glasses. I have insurance with my job, but the truth is that it always comes out to be much less than when I buy my glasses from an independent eyewear place such as this one. I have purchased in total 5 pairs of glasses from him. Paul makes sure that I have the best lenses available. He has been in the business for many years and has the personal connections with other vendors and passes the savings on to his customers.Paul cares about his customers which translates to me wanting to shop at a place with integrity that I trust. Totally a wonderful experience.

If you are in NYC and looking for eyewear, do yourself a favor and go see Paul! I havve been trying to get my Persol 3048s to fit right for a long time, and have had them adjusted at other opticians, but Paul got them right the first time. He even adjusted my wifes Persols for free. Great service, great selection, you just cant beat it. Next time I am in NYC I will be stopping here, regardless if I really need glasses or not.

Bought my second Shuron here. Paul is an incredible owner. He knows everything about his products. A very helpful and caring guy. He polished my Ronsir Zyl by hand while we were talking about Shuron frames. If u like small shops with very special owners, go there and buy your glasses. You won’t regret.
