I had a great experience. Staff was very nice and helpful throughout my entire visit. Dr. Patel is great as well. She took the time to explain everything to me and never rushed my visit, always happily answering my questions along the way. Office is clean, masks required, and they make you wash your hands as soon as you walk in the door. Very pleased with my visit and will definitely recommend to others.

Everyone who works here is friendly and helpful. I was given options, but I never felt pressured into making any particular choice in terms of ordering contacts or buying new frames. My eye health was always the first priority. I am glad that I found this place a few years ago and I will continue to go here for my optometry needs in the future.

Visited a year ago - I never forget the eye doctor was very unenthusiastic. He made me felt unwelcome and wanted to be done with my appointment. Also their front door looks like a retail eyeglasses store, it was hard for me to find and tell there was an eye doctor there.Fast forward a year after during this pandemic, they called me saying I need eye exam - of course I said no. Had your doctor been more warm and caring to patients instead of calling patients only when you need the money - then I may return.

Checkup was fine and I think that I trust the Doctors knowledge, but the experience with the office was the worst Ive had in NYC (I wish I had read the google maps reviews before booking as everything listed there came true). In summation, was convinced to buy a new brand of contacts that were four times the price of my prior brand, could not get the help I needed to figure out why they didnt fit well, were uncomfortable, and felt worse for my eyes, and was left with a giant tab to spend at some point in the future on their glasses because I couldnt get money back on the contacts. All in all it felt like this office was more interested in getting as much money from me as possible up front without being interested in making sure that I walked away with a good, healthy, comfortable experience.

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. Was a patient for 4 years, but no longer. Google maps took me to their old address, was given incorrect directions by the office that is currently there which isn’t their fault. What IS frustrating is that when their offices called me and I told them I was lost and at the old address I was told the new office is “by a bakery and looks residential” which doesn’t really help when you’re lost and on the wrong street.I called them at 6:16 to tell them I was still lost but closer and a few blocks away. The woman on the phone said no problem.Three minutes later I received a call telling me that my appointment was cancelled because the doctor has a 15-20 minute policy about late appointments.A) it would’ve been great to know that earlier when I called because I would’ve just taken an Uber instead of wandering around a construction-ridden neighborhood I’m unfamiliar withB) I received the wrong directions from google, the wrong directions from the old office and zero direction from the office. Happy to figure it out myself, but it’s incredibly frustrating to hear of a new, unmentioned cancellation policy after wandering around Tribeca for 25 minutes trying to find the office. Especially when you’re 2 blocks away. Even more so when you’ve notified the office and been told it’s not a problem.C) As a long time patient this left a really sour taste in my mouth. I live and work across town but took off time from work to see these Doctors again. The “make good” they offered was scheduling another appointment on another day during my works hours which would require me to take off again. I’d rather not. There are hundreds of eye doctors in the city, find one that won’t screw you.UPDATE:3 months later they rebooked me WITHOUT MY CONSENT for another appointment. I called last week after receiving a confirmation email and they didn’t cancel the appointment they made for me without my permission as I just received a call asking to confirm. SO SO SO sketchy. RUN.

I love this place I would not trade it for any other eye doctors office not only do they accept my insurance but I was running a little late and the doctor still saw me and the doctor was excellent she was very knowledgable and the ladies in the office are wonderful they helped me choose the best frames I picked up my glasses and since then I have received compliments on them I recommended my friends to this optometrist office its one of a kind will continue to come back see you ladies next year for my next annual.

No one has a clue whats going on here. I came here 3 different times and told 3 different stories about pricing and what insurance will cover. Theyre never organized. Theyre either All clueless or just trying to rip you off. Im pretty sure its the latter.

It was the most comfortable Ive ever been at a dentist. Dr Dorfman was extremely informative and careful. She also used technology and procedures I hadnt experienced before (measuring gum depth and inflammation, took pics of my teeth and showed me, etc). She also had a great sense of humor.

This was hands down the worst experience Ive ever had with a doctor. they will try and pressure you into more expensive purchases and if you attempt to buy contacts from another vender they will not release your prescriptions. They will also refuse to help you via the telephone when you attempt to reach out. I would avoid this place at all costs. The woman at the front desk is arguably the most disrespectful human Ive dealt with in a customer service setting in my life.I will never be returning.

While the optometrist was very nice, I walked out (again) feeling like I had been taken advantage of. There was no discussion of alternate (cheaper) contacts I could buy, and I was pressured into purchasing prescription reading glasses that fell apart the second day I used them.

CORRUPT AND OUT TO SCAM. Do not go here if you value the health of your eyes and more importantly your wallet. Because that is all they care about: Milking you for every cent and will outright lie to you about specifications you need in order to save your vision We are not 10 year children, the fear mongering is absolutely disgusting. Read any of the other reviews recently, they are continuing to harass other customers after being reported to the BBB and even the police. Their office is the size of of two closets and that is not an understatement. They are essentially the lobby of a Dentistry office and should in no way be operating as a full optician as they lack any proper equipment and literally the actual square footage of their sorry excuse of an office is 89sq ft

The only good thing about this place is that the doctor was somewhat friendly. The rest of the staff lied to me several times about what my insurance would cover (several times, even after speaking with the insurance company), screwed up my order (after confirming exactly what I wanted), and forced me to pay money before I left, although my insurance is supposed to cover the expenses, which I confirmed before coming into the appointment. This place wreaks... find somewhere else...

Ive been with this place for few years. Its getting bad now. The people sooooo pushy on buying from contacts to glasses! Seriously to a point that I dont even feel comfortable especially when I turned them down. Then still havent received my prescription even after called back to follow up. They also call like crazy for you to book an appointment. I will not return.

If you’re going to stop in here, you’re going to want a Xanax. Awful experience. The pushy sales tactics are borderline harassment. I went in for contacts but they tried to sell me literally everything. They kept telling me how bad my frames were so they could get me to buy really expensive ones.“I’m here for contacts, not glasses.” - Me 900 times in this place on deaf ears

Terrible harrassment. The specialist (sales lady) pushed me into buying lenses even though I didnt like any frames.she promised that I can order frames through them and that she would email the prescription to me. She tried to charge me for polycarbonate lenses though they were part of my insurance for free. Then she overcharged me for the AR coating - which VSP confirmed and they owe me money back. Then she has not emailed the prescription for a week . They didnt respond to a single email about the frames I want. When I called the specialist brusqely quoted a price but wasnt sure about the model I want though I clearly specified in my email. She again said shell have one of the girls email the prescription but I received nothing. They have a very small collection of frames. The only good thing to be said was that the doctor I met was nice. I would NOT recommend this place unless I want to set someone up for trouble. Avoid at all costs. I am completely harassed at this point.

Itd been about 5 years since I had my eyes looked at and I needed to renew my drivers license. It was easy to book the appointment, they did a great, comprehensive eye exam, sent my info to the DMV digitally, and helped my get a new pair of glasses since my prescription had changed. I wish I would have gone here the last time I got glasses. The new lenses are noticeably better than my old.The office was a tucked into the corner of a dental practice and felt a bit awkward. Overall though, the doctor was incredibly knowledgable, they were friendly, and they knew their business and were efficient. Id definitely recommend them :-)

Absolutely horrible. I have experienced the same harassment that others mentioned. They lied to me about a contact rebate (when I contacted Acuvue, they straight up told me that the staff was trying to scam me). So I never went back. It’s now about 3 years after that incident and I still get contacted by them weekly. After repeatedly telling them to stop calling, I just started blocking their phone numbers - which seem to keep manifesting in new variations. I reported them to the FCC and threatened to call the police, and YET, I just received another email from them.

Went here once when I lived in the city. Staff are very pushy when it comes to contacts or glasses. I felt uncomfortable. Ive received 6+ phone calls asking to schedule an eye exam. Ive called them 3 times to remove me from the callers list as Im not interested and have moved away. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.

Dr. Nandwani was fantastic. Her eye exam was thorough and she recommended things that made sense, progressive lenses in addition to possible vision therapy (because my right eye tends to turn in). If it was just her, I would definitely go back. The woman who sells the glasses, however, is horrible. Not that she didnt try to be friendly, but Im pretty sure she is only a saleswoman and not any kind of medical professional. After the eye exam, I was turned over to her so she could try to sell me glasses. With no warning, all of a sudden shes telling me which glasses SHE likes on me the most and reading verbatim from pamphlets about Varilux and Prevencia without explaining any of the information that shes reading. She kept offering discounts on things that she wasnt even telling me the full price of in the first place. Eventually, it all came out to $700, $500 for me because my insurance pays $200. The cheapest frames were $150. The way she spoke basically made me feel like shed made up the price based on the insurance payout and what she figured I would pay. There was no negotiation or discussion of different price points and options. Just: you owe $500. No thank you. She made the appointment very uncomfortable, and needs to work on her customer service. I dont want to buy glasses from them now, even if the price IS fair, because she was just awful. Im so disappointed by this, as the doctor was great, but I do not want to put myself back in that situation.

I did my glasses 2 years ago here and now one lens os totally screwed up. Looks like tha anti-reflex is defective and there are sort of bubbles inside the left lens. The right lens is perfect, meaning that it is definitely a production problem. I’ve been told nothing can be done because of the 1 year warranty and that i’m due for the 2018 eye exam. No way i’m doing it there. It’s unheard of that after less than 2 years the lenses get like this. My previous glasses lasted many years and i changed them only because the prescription changed. Ah, another thing: i did another pair of glasses here and they got my prescription wrong so i wasnt seeing anything. I was told i had to adapt but i’ve been wearing glasses since I was a child and i well know how it works...they took another eye exam and figure out they were wrong and redid my lenses but weren’t sure they could do it free of charge because some months had gone by. In the end they did it but this place is a nightmare
