I wish I could leave more than 5 stars! I had minor cosmetic ear surgery yesterday and they were so amazing! I have really bad anxiety and medical stuff only further elevates it. I was at completely at ease in this office. Doctor Martin and the whole staff are so kind.

Dr Martin doesn’t just do cosmetic surgery but also complicated corrective surgery. His work allowed me to be able to move forward with a knee replacement by making a proper tissue correction. His bedside manner is amazing. He’s smart, kind and listens. A very skilled professional. His staff is also outstanding!A good outcome is not just the surgeons responsibility but the patients too! Dr. Martin is phenomenal!!!! He performed my first surgery 8/12/2019 for Kienbocks Disease. He has the best bedside manner, hes genuine, caring, very thorough and doesnt leave any details out about surgery, recovery, etc. The staff at Middle TN Plastic Surgery are awesome too... it doesnt matter how many times I call them in a day asking questions, before and after surgery, they are always courteous and helpful! They know me by name when I walk in the door. I cant say enough good things about Dr. Martin and his staff!

Dr. Martin and staff are very professional and always make sure to keep me feeling comfortable. They really do a great job with follow ups and scheduling. Kim is AMAZING! She is full of Knowledge and extremely honest. I will continue to go there for any future procedures 😀.

Each employee in this office takes care of the patient and makes certain that the patient feels at ease. Having a surgery is a bit nerve wrecking and the surgeon and his team take care of the patient to make sure the patient understands the procedure and the recovery. I had no questions prior to surgery. I had questions after surgery, and I was never rushed or made to feel that I was a bother. The best thing about the office is knowing I was in good hands.

After reading the previous review, I am in shock and felt compelled to post my review and experience with Dr. Martin. I have had numerous encounters with his practice and his staff and I have found them to be very professional. I have been happy with all of my procedure results. One of which, was a baseball sized Lipoma that was removed from my back below my bra line. Dr. Martin was really concerned with keeping the scarring to a minimum and he did just that! I did have normal swelling and concerns but was able to reach the office and get my questions answered promptly. I have also seen Kim Farley for skincare and have been nothing less than pleased with my results. Dr. Martin is a very personable and caring physician.

They have been nothing short of amazing. Very professional and very concerned about me and my wellbeing. Always answered any questions I had.

I had a very bad experience! Only gave you a star because it wouldnt let me post if I didnt!!! This is not my name in your records. You or your student did a hatchet job on my breast reduction! I look like a shark bit me! The scars are extremely awful! You made me smaller than I asked for. The area around my nipples is huge and misshapen. I have skin hanging under my arms that was not stitched taut. I have a golf size knot on each breast. They are sagging which I was told wouldnt happen for ten yrs. The tape was embedded in my skin that it took me three weeks to get it off. I was badly infected. Three months after surgery I still had scabs that wouldnt fall off. When I came for my follow you didnt even look under the bandages. You did nothing you said was going to be done in the consult. I was so mad and disgusted that I didnt come back for 2nd follow up. Neither you or anyone in your office bothered to call and check on me... I wouldnt let you touch me again if my life depended on it!!! Should have known when you told me you were an army surgeon not to do it! You have ruined my self esteem and will never get naked in front of my husband or any other man... Im horrified to look in the mirror!!! Just glad I didnt pay you out if my own pocket!!!

I have seen Dr. Martin for two different issues. The first issue was a small Lipoma on my right above my right eye. He did great work. You cannot even see the scar. Ive also seen him for arthritis in my hands. He was very good about talking me through all the possibilities of how to deal with this short and long term. I would highly recommend him.

I am a bariatric patient that had gastric sleeve surgery on New Years Eve 2015. After losing just over 200 lbs. I went for a skin removal consult with Dr. Martin and had a panniculectomy/abdominoplasty on January 4, 2018. Then a thighplasty on my inner thighs on August 9 2019.Dr Martin and his entire staff, in my opinion, are excellent!! After losing that much weight there was a lot of loose skin and he had one big job. Both my procedures were a total success. My body does not react well to surgical procedures and although I come through the procedure just fine , I tend to get an infection in the days following. I could not have asked for better care from both Dr. Martin and Kim. They were right there for me in anyway I needed. Their compassion for me was top notch! I could not have been more pleased with my whole experience while under their care. I would recommend Dr. David Martin and his staff to anyone!! Great bunch of people!!

I did not have a good result from my reduction or liposuction. I threw my money away and now have huge, raised, ugly scars. My intimacy days are over. I have not been offered a resolve.one breast is bigger than the other one and I still wear the same bra, pant etc. size!

Dr. Martin did a FANTASTIC job on my breast reduction/lift and liposuction, I am beyond happy with the results!!!! The staff and Dr. Martin are also compassionate, caring and supportive during your journey.

I work at Dr Martins office. I had a breast augmentation done several years ago. I am very happy with my results. I had little down time and a easy recovery. I would do it again.

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. I’ve been living a nightmare as a result of Dr. Martin’s shoddy work.About a month ago, I had a basil cell carcinoma skin cancer removed from my right cheek. I was referred to Dr. Martin by my dermatologist to close up the wound (about the size of a quarter) so I didn’t do my usual research. Had I read these reviews, I never would have let Dr. Martin anywhere near my face.Dr. Martin has a way of making you feel at ease & like you can trust him. He assured me that while there would be a scar,it would be a small & easy-to-cover line & within a few days, I would be wearing makeup & no one would even know it was there. Today over a month later, I’m still not able to wear makeup bc I still have an open wound on my face.During the surgery, I thought it odd that Dr. Martin didn’t have a nurse or an assistant in there with us. They seemed very busy that day, & toward the end of the surgery, before he finished bandaging my face, he even got up to go tend to something else.When I inquired about after-care,Dr. Martin told me to leave the same bandage on for a week until my stitches were removed. I found that odd & repeated him to make sure I had it right. He affirmed his instructions.Within a day or two the tape he had told me to leave on for a week was bloody & gross-looking. I called & asked if I could come in & have them clean it & change the dressing. The nurse practitioner, Kim, sighed in exasperation when I told her how Dr. Martin had told me to care for the wound. “He was supposed to tell you how to clean it & give you more steri-strips to take with you,” she said. What kind of doctor forgets to tell you something so important; particularly when it’s an open wound on your face?When I went in to have the stitches taken out, Dr. Martin looked at the scar for about 10 seconds then left me with Kim. When she was taking them out, she yanked one stitch particularly hard & it started to bleed. Once again that left me uneasy, especially since she didn’t call the doctor back in to look at the wound. I asked her how to care for it & she told me to use Bio-oil. I even asked if I needed to use polysporin on it since it was bleeding & she said no, just bio-oil.From that day on,my wound started to deteriorate. The area that bled when Kim pulled the stitch continued to open up & I kept putting nothing but bio-oil on it bc that’s what I had been told. I called & asked to come back in & was assured by Dr. Martin that it was “healing nicely.” I asked if I needed to keep putting bio-oil on the scar & he said yes, put it on the parts of the scar that weren’t open & put nothing on the open part. Nothing. Even when I asked repeatedly if I needed antiobiotic ointment.At my next my follow-up, when I expressed my growing concerns, Dr. Martin told me it was my anxiety causing me to feel like the scar wasn’t healing & that I needed to go “see a therapist.” His exact words.Finally, the following week, he admitted that “there was a chance I might need a scar revision operation” but that he wouldn’t be able to do it for “months, until the wound completely healed.” At that moment I knew what my gut had been telling me the entire time was correct: He had botched the operation. I went the next day to another plastic surgeon for a 2nd opinion & he confirmed that I would 100% need a revision operation. He feels like he can probably do it in a matter of weeks as opposed to months, however. He also prescribed antibiotic ointment & within a day or two; the scab that had been sitting on my face for weeks finally fell off. And all the while Dr. Martin had told me repeatedly that I didn’t need antibiotic ointment.I am hopeful the scar revision operation will work but there are no guarantees. The one guarantee I can give is this: Stay far away from Dr. Martin. He will sell you a dream & deliver a nightmare. Not only did he botch my operation, he gave me wrong & even neglectful after-care instructions...& who knows what kind of difference appropriate after-care might have made? Stay away. Please.

I would have given anything in the world if I done my research first. As a graduate student, research is key to anything! But I trusted my PCP in his recommendations. Im using another persons Google account to post this because Im seriously thinking about filing a medical negligence case against this office. When you have your first consult, they sell you on the idea that you will look fabulous. Its been my dream for years to have a normal size breast. He told me right away to go shopping for bras.To be able to wear a beautiful bra has been my dream since I was 19 years old. The lacy bras or any bra besides a granny Playtex bra! LOL!Not only did the office and the doctor dismiss my plea for mercy, they chose to repeatedly not listen to me when I said I had a post surgical infection. The first 3 weeks after the surgery, I called numerous times. I knew, from knowledge and experience, somethingwasnt right. 4 weeks later, after suffering antagonizing pain and neglect, a God send, a nurse practitioner listened to me. She knew, from years of actually studying, that I indeed had an infection from the surgery. I was given 2 shots of antibiotics and then 8x a day @ 7 days. Finally some relief!!! I didnt have to scream and cry anymore like a deranged lunatic. For a long 28 days though I suffered tremendously and it all could have been prevented had someone actually listened to me, instead of dismissing me.Thats just unethical and unprofessional. I still have to find a surgeon to have the abscess from my breast removed, then find a new surgeon who can try to at least make my breasts look like breasts. They look like deflated pancakes. I can not even wear a normal bra. Why? The top is completely flat, no cleavage and the sides hang over. Thank God for sports bras with pads because thats the only type bra Ill ever be able to wear :( The cup of the bra is almost completely empty, no matter if its an A cup or C cup. I have no breast at the top and some at the bottom. They dont shake or jiggle. It is just very deformed looking. They look almost like a mans chest with a little extra at the bottom of the breast.I was so excited to have the surgery. It was like my dreams were finally coming true. I had a rather large breast size before. Most of my friends ask me if i regret it. Ive been teased and called names since the surgery but i try to make it look like I have boob with called a Genie bra. I try to block it out of my head psychologically, but hopefully this review will help and maybe next time, theyll listen to their patients. Always be wary of the so called know it all attitude in the medical field. I had never been treated so horrible as I was here..another thing, before the surgery they were awesome! Really sweet and had me pumped up..i just dont see why they changed afterwards. I was in horrible, excruciating pain that I should have never experienced. All I tried explaining to then was that I had an infection and they didnt want to own up to it. The doctor dismissed me by saying I was going thru pain meds withdrawals. I was not. I had my pain medicine and the reason why it wasnt working was because of the infection from the surgery!!!! All I was asking for was antibiotics...that was it. I wish I had never ever chose not to research various surgeons had I known this was going to happen. I just thought I would look normal and finally get to wear shirts and bras that I couldnt wear before. I am suffering from depression now and have even more of a self image complex. Thanks alot!

Would not use! Left me permanently scarred & terrible attitude when confronted about his poor surgical skill.In response to your reply. My name is different on here from when I was a patient. I have never changed my name on this account is why you cant find me in your data base. Martin had many chances to fix the damage he caused. He didnt and that was his choice!!!!!But most importantly,this should never have happened to me or any patient. Martin should have been a better surgeon and never ever cut me the way he did. I am forever scarred. Its embarrassing and irreversible. Insult to injury was his nasty attitude that its my problem and he did nothing wrong. Shameful!If he didnt care then what would he do differently now????
