Easy access right off 90. The staff was very nice. What we didn’t like was the site itself and that the whole place had a run down feeling. We had a pull through which was convenient w our tow vehicle. The area near the picnic table and where you walk out of your RV was dirt which made a mess. The fire pit was very old and in an odd location. My husband used the shower which he described as old w cement block walls and a wood plank floor. Just not our type of place.
Just camped here the last few days. Its a great little camp ground off I-90. We got last minute spots, and the owner(s) was very nice and accommodating, they were probably some of the nicest polite people Ive ever met. There are cute little cabins you can rent, tent camp (which we did) and we had a nice spot, but it has spots for very large RVs and trailers. Price was nice and right outside of Mitchell which was a cool little town. We had T-Mobile and our service was pretty good here, one or two times I lost a signal but only for a short time, just in case anyone is wondering about that. Showers and bathrooms were very clean as well with nice hot water and water pressure. I would definitely recommend and we will be back again.
This is a nice quiet campground. Staff accommodated us with a site for our satellite to watch Arkansas vs Texas game. Lots of shade trees and I love the old fire truck parked next to the cornfield. Highly recommend this campground.
This place is a welcome oasis. Inexpensive, shade trees at every camp site and inexpensive. Great place to stop over. No nasty live-ins.
Lovely RV spot, semi shade. Unfortunately, we stopped when tornado 🌪️ warnings were in effect. Unable to enjoy the park fully. Would return for the friendly and gracious service.
Full hook up in a drive through. Gravel sites that are level. Visited in coach towing suv. Friendly staff. Quite place.
Nice park, all the things you need, will stay again.
Really liked it. It is a campground where you can relax in a very well maintained and clean place. Will definitely stay here again
Pulled in was having balance issues with my TT. They had no issues with me fixing it. It was super cute I will definitely stop back and stay if im in the area again.
Nice sites. Quiet enough to hear the cardinal that must be nesting on or near our site. He even perched outside my dining room window so I could see him.
Amazing campground located right off I90 just outside Mitchell SD. Owners are amazing people and prices are the best around. Ill be back and hope others will try them out. Ty Jessie and Paul for everything!!
Beautiful place to stayIt has lots of shade and poor Sprint service (not their fault). Hard to get satellite service or for that matter even WiFi service. And its not cheap if Im ever by this way again I will stop by and stay. 38 ft motorhome.
Employees were so friendly and so many fun activities to do
Beautiful campground. I love hearing the bird. Lots of shade and quiet. Relaxing atmosphere make up for the gravel sites.
Just spent one nite, but very friendly and good selection of spaces.
Very nice campground with great activities. The staff is very nice. Will stay there again and again.
Very nice park, everyone was friendly and helpful, definitely a great place to stay
Awesome campground. Great owners friendly and always there to help.
Convenient, level, spacious, great overnight for us.
Absolutely one of the best campgrounds we have stayed at.
Pretty rundown, but serves the need of a place to stay near Mitchell.
Lovely campground, spacious with lots of trees. Very well kept.
Enjoyed our stop over here.
Not bad for overnite.
Absolutely LOVE the new owners!!! Super nice and this campground brings back alot of good memories for me! The paradise cabin that i stayed in is super nice, and the bathhouse is really nice and clean too! Great little gift shop with everything you need, and a fun little game room, mini golf, a pool, playground...what more could you ask for!
Very nice campground with pull through sites
Very nice place Lisa and Claude are very nice people make you feel very very welcome.
NEW OWNERS ARE AWESOME. disregard reviews from 2 years ago. Nice lady! Our other campsite at a different location did not have hookups so we asked if we could dump and fill here, and she just asked for a tiny fee. Looks fantastic for kids, there is even a little atv train. After talking with one of the maintenance guys, apparently this is a new management and they are doing wonders for the place.
Lots of children-late nite partiers- noisy 3am.
Veryfriendly, clean nice big sites
Friendly owners, large spots. I will remember this place next time we travel.
I’ve stayed here three times on trips out to the Black Hills. Perfect stopping point from MSP to the Black Hills. Easy on/off from the interstate, one of the nicer campgrounds I’ve stayed at. It’s obvious the facilities are well cared for and they even spray for bugs! I have a massive rig and they have plenty of pull through spots which made getting in and out very easy. Kudos to the online booking system also, that made the whole process that much easier!
Nice place great people.
We stayed 1 night passing through the area. Not far off the highway, easy to get to, woman checking us in was very helpful and friendly. Cute kids activities. However we won’t be back. It’s very crowded with campers back to back. The pull through sites are so close our slide out about touched the neighboring camper slide. There appears to be no quiet hours as people all around us were loud talking and playing music till 1am. Next time we will look to stay elsewhere
Great campground! Good location right off i90 west of Mitchell. Nice gal running the place. Great value also. We will camp here again.
Absolutely one of the best campgrounds we have stayed at in South Dakota and we travel border to border. The owners are outstanding and really take pride in what they do. They went above and beyond by helping to install an accessory on our camper.
It was amazing! Such nice wonderful people, helping any way they can! Definitely coming back with friends and family again!
Lots of fun for kids!
Great campground
The sites were so close together you could hear your neighbor snore. I will post a picture of what was outside my door. I could not put my awning down because there was a tree 6 from my trailer. The blue drum you see in the picture was full of diesel fuel. They did move it when I asked them. Worst Good Sam park we have stayed at so far. On a positive note the pool and game room was nice.
What a wonderful little place to camp! Incredibly friendly staff was so welcoming. Clean restrooms and nice level sites for the RV. Very quiet too which was nice and peaceful after a long time on the road. Pet friendly. Really enjoyed our stay here!
Clean and great people
Lots of shade. Friendly owner and family.
Very friendly staff for us newbies. Helpful and informative. Clean restroom and showers. Lots of shade. Will be back.
Let me first say I was in after dark and out before sunrise, so not much time here. But in that short time the owners checked me in quickly, lead me to my site and hooked me up with an electoral extension cord which they didnt have to do. Unfortunately facilities were dated and entire womens bathroom was out which redirected to mens bathroom. Not an issue for me.
It was very Compact and we were by a tree that we couldnt take out awning out, there was no place to sit, looked like a dump where we were at by maintenance garage.
The new owners are terrific! Wonderful, relaxing weekend. All the kids had great time. Thank you so much.
One of the nicest campgrounds. Easy access off the interstate. Very quiet. Owners are very nice hardworking people that take a lot of pride in the grounds. Sites are level and clean. We will most definitely be coming back to this campground.
Betts Campground is a great place to camp. The owners are very nice and helpful and the grounds are clean. A great place for kids to stay and pkay., we will definitely be back.
Wonderful campground! We stopped for one night, most friendly and helpful owners! Our kids loved the mini golf and swing set areas. Nice gravel pull through sites with full hookups. Just off the highway but had many big trees and highway noise was very minimal. Would define stay here again!!
Friendly & helpful staff!!
Great place to stay either over night or a couple days. Takes almost any size rig and room for slideouts. Cleanest campground Ive seen for awhile. Well maintained with all the amenities. Great people running the site. Price was $33 total/night. Plenty of shade.
Owners are pretty cool. Nice place, way better than it used to be
Awesome campground friendly people and I would stay there again.
Great place
Great campsite, great people and VERY kid friendly! We played air hockey, teatherball, swam, there was mini golf, a cute playground and more!!!
Stayed one night very accommodating! Nice cabins 40 a night
We pulled in to stay at this campground for a month! Our stay was delightful with the big shade trees, fire pit when needed, well maintained, very clean restrooms, and the most friendly owners I have come across while traveling! Our needs were meet in every way and we were greeted daily with a smile, conversation, and a friendly hand wave. We enjoyed this park so much! Thank you Jerry and Sharon!
Its a nice shady campground.. all of the amenities are good! Pool not working though and you can hear I90 highway noise all night, but the price is really good!
Ok,just slept
Stayed here twice and will always stay here when we travel west. Laid back, very quiet, very shaded level sites. The owners are the most genuine and friendly people anywhere.
The owners are super nice and the grounds are clean and well-maintained. Sites were level. Easy access fromI-90. We would definitely stay here again.
Had a wonderful experience here with the campsite. Was directed quickly and promptly to my site. Had all the hookups and was a nice pull through.
Very clean, very nice owners and really good friend of ours!
The owners are super friendly, campground was clean, and surprisingly tons of trees. Nearly every lot was shaded. Great stop-over on the way through to the Black Hills.
Great campground, great staff, LOTS OF SHADED SITES
We were needing a place to stay and everywhere was closed as it was winter. We called Betts Campground and the new owner plowed a spot for us. Very nice man!
Very happy with my stay. Full service at a very low price. Quiet. Just far enough from I 90 but easy to get to. Very nice people!
Clean bathroom and showers. Friendly. Good value
This place was so well taken care of.The owner was exceptionally nice and helpful. Spaces are big. Very decent prices. We live full time in RV. Travel to many states. We were really impressed.
What nice people! We camped here while we became citizens of South Dakota (i.e. full-time RVers). They had a nice museum and our camp site was placed where we could get DirecTV. Very nice!
Found this gotten Gem, Only stayed one night, very clean bathrooms, super nice Owner. Priced very reasonable, highly recommended
Great getaway
Right off the interstate. Swimming pool in the summer, playground, and a putt putt golf course. It is clean and well kept.
During our road trip from California, we needed a place to pull over and switch drivers. Since there was no shoulder off the exit, the first and only place to pull in was this place. We simply pulled in, parked and got out of the vehicle. I briefly took my dog out and was immediately hollered at by two individuals. After reading these reviews, I have been informed that these two people must have been the owners. I was very caught off guard by the encounter and got in my vehicle and left. If only a brief moment sparked so confrontation, I couldn’t imagine paying to camp there. Please strongly consider the reviews left by others when booking a reservation. Go somewhere that appreciates the business!!
Very nice campground run by a wonderful couple. They have a great area for the kids to play with swingsets, slide, tire swing, sandbox, basketball court, and more. Everything is clean and well kept. If we ever come through this area again we will stay here again with a second thought.
It was great
Great place to camp! Very accommodating!
Nothing fancy but very easy access off I90. Delightfully peacefully, clean, pull thru for our rig and did not have to unhook toad. Level, grass and gravel. Excellent friendly hosts, Jerry and Sharon.we stayed only one night but will return in a week.
I planed to stay here for 2 nights. But after one night here i decided to move to another place because of the weather. I spent only a short night in a tent but I thing this campground is worth it. They have really good surface for the tents and the bathrooms were clean. they have a pool that i didnt use because of the weather. The campground is cheap and I will definitely stay here aging in case I will go to S. Dakota.
Shower house and bathroom was exceptional. Very friendly and extremely nice campground would recommend to all. Won;t find a better place to stay. Very nice. Very Quiet. Loved it.
Great overnight stop. Large level shady spots, very clean bathrooms, and the owners were great. Reasonably priced. We could not ask for more. This will definatly be a regular stop on our trips out to the Black Hills.
My family and I stayed here in our fifth wheel for two weeks over the summer. The owners, Jerry and Sharon, were so welcoming and friendly during our stay. My little girl would ask every day to go up to the office to say hello and get a sucker. :) They even waited up late after hours for us to return back to their campground and set up since our plans of moving towns didnt pan out. The facility was very clean. We used the laundry facility, playground, mini golf and walked the entire place often with our dogs. We were very thankful for the kindness and friendliness of the owners during our whole stay! We will definitely return if we are back in South Dakota! Thank you Famil-E-Fun Campground!
Great place to stay. Shady but you dont have to worry about any low hanging branches. Level sites, clean restrooms. Nice people.
My type of place, friendly people, an escort to my site ,plenty of place to walk the dogs ,in the trees and room between the sites
Awesome staff, clean facilities, and an all around great place!
Very nice campground with lots of shade. Super clean and well maintained. Enjoyed meeting the owners who were very accommodating.
Had a great time very nice campground we would definitely stay again
Easy to find right off I90. Showers were hot and bathrooms were clean. The owner was super helpful too.
Very clean and well kept park. Jerry and Sharon park hosts are a delightful couple. This one is a keeper.
After being on the road for nearly 10 hours, my family was excited to get to our destination. While we were checking in, I told my children to play on the playground as they had been sitting for a very long time. The owner (?-woman) said a parent needs to be with the children at all times on the playground. Clearly, we were trying to check in and were just hoping to occupy the children for five minutes while we accomplished this. After reading the signs that a parent needs to be with children playing mini-golf, I opened a bottle of beer and took my son to play. As our luck would have it, and a total freak ACCIDENT, my son swung his golf club and hit my bottle which broke. I immediately picked up the pieces and sent my son to get a broom. The owner came out and began berating me in front of a crowd of people. He repeatedly called me ignorant, said I wouldnt be able to read a sign of it was stapled to my forehead, said I was damn lucky it didnt happen in the pool area, etc. I explained to him that I could, and did read the sign regarding glass not being allowed. HOWEVER, the sign was attached to the pool fence, leading me to believe the sign was in reference to the pool area, not the mini golf area. He again insulted me in front of everyone in the area and said I had no common sense and I needed to tell everyone the mini golf area was closed because of what I had done. He then brought out a shop vac and said I better get every damn piece of glass. At first glance, this looks like a nice campground. The facilities appear to be well maintained, but there is more to a family camping experience than facilities. The owner of this establishment ruined what was supposed to be a fun night with my family with his extremely rude demeanor and obvious lack of customer relation skills. In addition, we were scolded for hanging a clothes line and were told it is state law that clotheslines are not allowed. Im not sure if this is true, but after asking if we could leave it up to dry our numerous wet items (tent camping in the rain the previous night), we were still told no. I would NOT recommend this campground!
Friendly owner, nice easy pull thru for overnight and very clean restrooms.
Cute place very original.
We stayed here for almost a week back in july 2015, and loved it, talked to the owners a couple times and they seemed very nice. They are picky about keeping the pool gate closed and other minor things, but as a former business owner i understand this. Every thing was clean, the only constructive criticism i have would be to keep the bugs skimmed out of the pool a little more often, and spray for mosquitoes more often. Other than that i would of given it 5 stars.
Beautiful campground. Super friendly owner, they even were ok with us coming in at 8pm. We will definitely be back.
Rude service
Owners are the nicest people you will ever meet. Campgrounds are beautiful well kept along with clean restrooms, showers and a great laundry room.
Close to freeway, but nestled into a shady grove. Quiet. Arrive before 9:30pm. The owner actually takes his guests peace and quiet seriously.
