Excellent rustic camp. Stephen and Belinda are very friendly and helpful.

Awesome place! Family owned and great place to escape to. Quiet and great views. Golden road is a well maintained mostly gravel road. Kyak & canoe rentals, plenty to do year round. Cant wait to get back!

Had a most excellent time up to the Allagash Gateway as usual tons of fun great people around awesome accommodations definitely a great place to get away from civilization just to be able to unwind and enjoy nature and if youre lucky like we were we saw Bears deer moose rabbits and a couple of fox. I recommend this place to all who reads this review

The allagash gateway campground is amazing!!. If you like backwoods camping fun for the hole family, well this is the place to stay!! The allagash is family owned and operated, By some really nice fokes! The hospitality and service speakers for it self! I have stayed in the cabins, tent sites, RV sites. All are great price well maintained. The lake is amazing! Sunsets kayaking, boating! All easy access right from camp..they offer many different things from kayaking to shuttle service, hunting, fishing. My favorite is the beautiful scenery and quiet wilderness. Give them a call. Check it out!!!!!

A wonderful and friendly family run this campground and shuttle service. We used their shuttle service to Lobster stream and pickup at Graveyard point on Chesuncook Lake.

We had a wonderful trip and Allagash Gateway provided the canoe gear and shuttle service. AGC was professional and Belinda and Steve did everything that they promised -- the added bonus was meeting Steakums and Buggy. Our trip started at Lobster Stream, we paddled over to Lobster Lake, then headed down Penobscot River and over to Chesuncook Lake. We didnt encounter any unpleasant surprises with the outfitter and would recommend them to anyone doing this trip-- convenience, courtesy, and professionalism were their hallmarks.

Very rustic total change of scenery
